Accessing The Fold with Your Patreon Account

Want to explore and download our full library of battlemaps? Here’s a quick step-by-step guide to help you get set up and make the most of your Eightfold Paper Patreon membership.
Step 1: Accessing the Fold
Head over to eightfoldpaper.com.
Click “Explore the Fold” — this is our main map library, where all of our battlemaps/items/bundles are displayed.
Step 2: Link Your Patreon Account
If you're not a member yet:
Click “Join as Patron” and select your tier.
Already a Patron?
Click the little 👤 person icon at the top right of the screen.
You’ll land on the My Account page.
Click “Log in with Patreon”.
If you're already logged in to Patreon, this will link your Patreon and Fold account instantly.
Once linked, your dashboard will appear when you click the top-right 👤 person icon. This shows your connected Patreon tier and other account details, as well as any content you may have purchased (i.e., our Riveborne: Champions from Beyond PDF).
Step 3: Browsing & Downloading Maps
Return to “Explore the Fold” to view the full collection. You’ll notice that the cart icons on top of each map have now been replaced by download icons straight in this overview.
Click the ⬇️ download icon on any map to instantly download the files available to your tier.
Click on a map’s thumbnail to open its page and see:
Full preview images
All included variations
Download button
If you're a:
Paper Knight: You can download all base map variations.
Paper Wizard or Paper Hero: You can download all premium variations as well.
⚠️ Ignore the "Add to Cart" button if you're already a Patron — that's only for one-time purchases. You already have access!
Step 4: Filtering, Searching & Bundles
Want to find something fast? We’ve got you covered:
Use the Search bar to type in keywords (e.g., Ironclad) and find matching maps.
Use the Tags & Filters to narrow results by theme, setting, or feature.
Click the Bundles tab to find year-based collections and specials:
Download everything from a specific year with one click.
Access is automatically based on your tier (base-only or full variations).
