“Oh my…” Whitman said as he entered Derek's office and saw him (in person) for the first time in nearly a week.
He'd seen him on TV but it didn't do him justice. Ben was shocked by how much bigger the younger man now carrying his baby/babies had gotten in such a relatively short amount of time. He was also instantly, insanely jealous as well.
Derek was awake, but still quite drowsy. Tammy had come in a few minutes earlier to let him know Ben was on his way up. Derek knew the former CEO's second visit to CorpaCorp headquarters was going to raise some brows, along with some more flags, but the pros outweighed the cons. He needed Whitman to get him out of there.
“Someone had a very big breakfast,” Tammy quietly explained from the doorway.
“It looks like he had several,” Ben said, doing his best to keep the envy out of his voice as he stepped deeper into the office.
Waddled, really.
Thanks to Matt, he was still somehow quite pregnant. His belly wasn't as prodigious as it'd been his last visit, but remained big, at least until it was compared to Derek’s. Similarly, engorged as they were despite their near constant use, Whitman's breasts simply paled in comparison to the thirty-three year old’s.
Derek looked up from himself and out at Tammy and Ben. He wished he hadn't come to rely on them as much as he had, especially Ben. But without both of them, things only would've been even worse.
Whitman braced his lower back as he continued to stare at Derek. “I see why you called. God… You really look like you're about to blow now!”
“Feels like it too,” Derek grumbled.
“Wanna get outta here before you do?”
He grunted.
Ben's eyebrows went up. “No..? Giving birth here wasn't an issue for me, but for a newbie, especially one like you, I can't say I'd recommend it,” he shook his head.
“I don't wanna give birth here,” Derek sighed as he took his right hand from the back of the couch and set it atop his belly, right below where his shirt now ended. “I'm ready to get and stay the hell away from here for a while, but honestly, I don't know if I can move right now?” He shook his head. “How come you didn't bring any help?” He frowned.
“Oh, I did,” Ben nodded. “There's a whole team waiting down in the garage. I didn't bring them up with me because I thought you might not appreciate the spectacle, but I…”
“I am a spectacle…” Derek groaned.
“You both are…” Tammy quietly muttered. Ben heard her, but he didn't bother to respond, at least not directly.
“Do you want me to call and have them come up?” He asked Derek as he reached for his phone.
The younger man sighed and shook his head again. “Don't call the cavalry just yet. Let's see if the three of us can do this on our own.”
Before she was able to stop herself, Tammy let out a loud scoff. Derek's eyes widened in surprise as Whitman turned back to look at her over his shoulder. No matter the situation, Tammy had never disagreed with him before.
“What?!” She scoffed again, looking back and forth between the preggos in indignant disbelief. They couldn't actually be serious, could they?
The personal assistant was all for equality and whatnot, but not now. She knew better than to even think the three of them would even come close to succeeding.
“We can't do this on our own. There's no way!” She stressed with a fervent shake of her head.
“So I should call my team?” Ben said.
Tammy shook her head again. As always, even when she'd never done something before, in this case, basically extricating her now enormous (overdue?) boss from his temporary corner office, Tammy had already come up with a solution.
“We call our team,” she replied.
“And who is your team?” Ben questioned as he turned his head and shot Derek an anxious look.
They were both thinking the same thing: Tammy was going to call Matt. Why wouldn't she? This was a mess after all…
But things would only get messier if the janitor was called to help. What would Matt do if he found his two favorite incubators in the same place at the same time? He probably already knew Ben was at the office, but still…
Once again, Tammy looked back and forth between the preggos. This time, she raised her brows as she waited for at least one of them to catch on. When neither of them did, she shook her head again and sighed.
“The security guards! Derek’s guards!” She emphasized. “Ever since clearing everyone out of the press conference, they've just been sitting in the breakroom twiddling their thumbs, asking me if they should start looking for a new job!” She rolled her eyes.
Ben suddenly smiled and nodded. “Yeah! Get them!”
Tammy nodded back before turning and heading for her desk. “I'll be right back.”
Once the door to the office was closed, Ben turned back to face Derek. “I'm not even gonna ask what happened to you.”
“Thank you,” the much more massive preggo sighed.
“Right now, anyway… I'm assuming you have shorts on or something?” Ben asked, nodding his chin at where the younger man's crotch should've been visible, but was totally obstructed by his enormous belly.
Derek nodded.
“And lemme guess,” he continued. “That's the biggest shirt you have?”
Derek nodded again. “Didn't happen to bring a bigger one with you, did you?”
Ben chuckled as he shook his head. “I'm not sure they make bigger ones!”
“I'm not that big!”
“Right…” was all he slowly said in response.
While not likely, Ben supposed it was possible Derek no longer realized just how massive he was? How enormously fecund he'd become, to be more precise. Now, even Ben couldn't imagine being that pregnant! For a few more moments, anyway…
Then he started thinking about how fucking amazing it would be to be Derek’s size and so full of life. Did he need any more kids? No, he most certainly did not, but he needed to keep having them. He was addicted, after all.
“Please, just get me outta here…” Derek groaned, breaking Whitman from the horny trance he'd fallen under.
“We'll have you out of here soon,” he assured with a smile Derek didn't see as groaning again, he closed his eyes and let his head fall back against the couch.
At that moment, for a moment, Ben genuinely felt for the younger man. While much time had passed and he'd birthed many babies since, when he thought about it hard enough, he could still recall how overwhelmed he'd been as his first labor and delivery drew near…
Back then, not only had he been overwhelmed, but also severely scared and disappointed in himself. At the time, Ben thought his life was over, and his first carrying had only resulted in (a very large set of) triplets. Looking at Derek now (and for much time prior,) it was quite evident that his first pregnancy was going to result in more. A lot more…
Ben had been right about one thing: after his first “batch,” life as he'd known it was indeed over. For the first few weeks after giving birth, he cried almost as much as the triplets did. While he couldn't help almost instantly falling in love with them, he'd yet to develop the paternal/maternal instinct he now possessed and even more so, the desire to have any more babies.
Three at once was more than enough. Yes, he had the means to care for them (and more,) but he was only one person, and unsurprisingly, the damn janitor hadn't stepped up to the plate, not that Whitman even wanted him to.
But eventually, something changed, something being pretty much everything… It was as if a gear clicked into place and all of a sudden, the desire hit, and hit hard. Ben went from being overwhelmed by being a new, single father, to being overwhelmed by the incessant need to add more babies to his womb and the rest as they say, is history.
Would the same end up happening to Derek? At the moment, as the younger man sat there pinned to the couch, it didn't sound or look likely, but history has an uncanny way of repeating itself, so the odds were good…
“BAAAAAAAAAAP!!!”
Whitman flinched in surprise as Derek released the biggest and loudest belch he'd ever heard, and he was capable of producing some rather monstrous ones himself.
“Feel better..?” He asked with a chuckle.
Derek did feel a little better. The massive burp freed up a little room, but before he got the chance to enjoy any of the relief, his giant belly heaved outward as several of the largest babies squirmed and wriggled.
“Fuuuuck…” he groaned, grimacing as his eyes rolled back.
There was a quiet knock on the door before Tammy entered with the two security guards. Derek had never bothered to learn either of their names despite the burly men being a near constant presence over the course of their tenure. Considering all they'd done (and were about to do) for him, he should've felt bad, but he simply didn't have the energy. He barely had the energy to think about getting up off the couch, even with their help…

Somehow, he/they managed. Derek and the guards did all the physical work, while Tammy and Ben stood out of the way offering moral support. Once the “VP” was on his feet and relatively steady, Ben approached, reached out and placed his right hand on the turgid, sweaty, deeply pink front of the younger man's belly.
He knew he shouldn't have. Derek was coming home with him, which meant he'd (hopefully) have plenty of chances to enviously touch and otherwise admire his fecund form privately, but Whitman couldn't resist the temptation any longer.
“There's practically no give,” he noted as he pressed his palm down against the orb a little harder.
The additional pressure didn't even make a dent. All it did was cause Derek to groan in (additional) discomfort while cradling what he could of his insane pregnancy. It also caused him to sway, alternately knocking the guards standing to either side, supporting him.
“Can we… please, go… now?” The thirty-three year old panted.
Whitman looked at the guards, of whom were red in the face and slightly sweaty. Both rapidly and repeatedly nodded, indicating they were ready to get the show on the road so they could get Derek’s weight off of them as soon as possible.
Tammy went out into the hall before everyone else to make sure it remained clear. Yes, she wanted Derek to have privacy while he made his slow and awkward exit, but the real reason she checked to make sure the coast was clear was because her massive boss and his burly handlers were going to need all the space they could get.
The door of his office wasn't wide enough for Derek and the guards to pass through side by side. Hell, it was barely wide enough for him to make it through on his own! The guard to his left went out first, and then turned and offered his hand as he waited for Derek to emerge.
Forced to use the walls for support instead of the security guards, the thirty-three year old very slowly tottered forward. As the front of his belly began exiting the office, he realized his departure couldn't have been timed any better…
If he'd had one more meal, even a normal-sized one, or, God forbid, another growth spurt, he definitely wouldn't have made it out. Not till he'd lost a few occupants, and a few inches in circumference…
Derek once again bit his lip but this time, he didn't draw blood. As the widest portion of his pregnancy reached the door frame, he feared he was stuck… He was as he grunted again, the already intense pain and pressure he was under increased but fortunately, somehow managed not to panic.
“Everything OK up there..?” Whitman asked from behind as the slow to begin with, “extraction process” came to a sudden halt.
Derek didn't verbally respond other than to grunt as he reached up and grabbed both sides of the door frame. Sucking in as deep as he could, he carefully pulled, genuinely afraid to apply too much (more) pressure.
Thankfully, his bare, bulging belly was slick with sweat, providing some lubrication. After a few stressful moments of pulling and pushing, Derek, or rather his belly, suddenly popped free from the frame, sending him staggering out into the hall.
He “charged” at the security guard in front of him, who'd quickly raised his other hand as his eyes bulged in surprise. The guard could've easily stepped wide out of the way, but that wasn’t his job. Along with his partner, his assigned duty was to keep Derek safe, which at the moment, meant somehow keeping him on his feet.
As he braced for impact, the second guard extended his arms and spread them wide. He grabbed Derek by his hips and pulled on them hard, desperately trying to reduce his “speed.”
Thankfully, the thirty-three year old wasn't going fast. He was moving just above his now normal waddle, but after popping free from the doorway, he wasn't in control.
Fortunately, the second guard pulling on his hips (with all his might) helped slow Derek down. It helped lessen the inevitable impact, but the giant preggo and the first guard both still grunted loudly when the latter's hands collided with the front of the former's belly, which knocked loose another massive belch.
“Fuck! Sorry…” Derek panted, tits wobbling about atop his enormous orb.
Whitman, who was the last to exit the office, couldn't help but chuckle as he closed the door behind him. If ever it'd been apparent that Derek had lost all control of pretty much everything, it was now.
Belatedly, the former CEO realized he was rock hard. Luckily, everyone else was too preoccupied to notice.
“Alright, this way, guys,” Tammy said as she started heading towards the elevator.
“Need a… minute!” Derek huffed as he leaned further back and braced his hands on his hips, brushing the second guard's away.
Tammy shook her head. “You're also gonna need to get off your feet soon,” she pointed out.
Derek closed his eyes and groaned. Per usual, his trusty assistant knew better than he did. There was nowhere, more specifically: no chair that would be able to accommodate him, between here and the elevator, which meant he needed to get somewhere, to something that could handle him while he still had the strength.
He nodded. Now that they were out in the hall and he was steady, the guards were able to flank him again. Derek nodded again, indicating he was ready to follow Tammy when Ben spoke up.
“We should probably use the freight elevator,” delicately emphasizing the word “freight.” “It has more room,” he nodded. ‘And a higher weight capacity,’ he added to himself.
The only reason Derek didn't groan again was because now, he really didn't want to waste the energy. Rather than halfway down the hall, the freight elevator was located all the way on the other side of the floor, meaning he was going to have to go twice as far as he'd been expecting.
He almost protested, but didn't. The last thing he needed now was to end up stuck in an elevator he was evidently too big and heavy for.
The trek to the other side of the building was slow. Painfully so… Painful not only because of its pace, but because of all the pressure Derek's back, knees and feet were under, and the discomfort his t-shirt caused as it rubbed against his now extra prominent and sensitive, leaking nipples.
Tammy kept her position ahead of him and the guards. Again, she made sure no one even thought about leaving their offices till she came back and told them it was OK. Derek's glacial pace gave her plenty of time to reiterate her message. So much time, that the personal assistant leisurely closed each and every door she passed.
Not everyone worked in an office though… Sometimes he did, to perform menial tasks such as vacuuming, emptying the trash, or cleaning a corner suite's private bathroom, but most of the time, he, aka, Matt, was in one of the more public spaces of CorpaCorp's headquarters, such as its breakrooms, public restrooms, or hallways.
And of course, right now, the janitor just so happened to be in this hallway, mopping it.
Tammy quickly said something to him as she passed, but whatever it was, it wasn't important enough for him to acknowledge. The consistently brooding, annoyingly attractive janitor only raised his gaze from the floor when he heard his favorite baby-maker approaching.
And felt, because each plodding step the preggo took (to say nothing of his breathing) was so heavy, not only did they loudly echo off the walls and ceiling, but sent vibrations through the floor as well.
Their eyes locked for the briefest of moments. Quick as the eye contact was, it was strong enough to send some rather disturbing feelings and desires throughout the thirty-three year old’s, hot and beleaguered, fecund form.
It felt like it took forever and like he wasn't going to make it, but finally, Derek and crew met Tammy at the freight elevator. By then, he and the guards were all heavily panting and perspiring.
Rather than having the elevator waiting with its door open, Tammy was just standing there. Derek turned his head to look at her and raised his sweaty brow to silently ask what she was (or wasn't) doing?
“The janitor has to operate it with his key,” the PA explained as she looked around Derek and back down the hall.
That was what Tammy had said to him as she passed, that they needed him. They needed the janitor’s “expertise,” aka, a piece of his “equipment” to get the job done.
“He's coming,” Tammy nodded as she raised her right hand and started waving it somewhat frantically, beckoning the slow moving janitor on.
Derek wasn't the least bit surprised Matt was taking his sweet time. He knew the janitor had to be loving the fact that once again, Derek had no choice but to rely on him for what he truly needed, the sadistic asshole.
As he stood there panting and gasping for breath, the thirty-three year old could feel both of his baby-daddies eyes staring at his fat ass. He could also feel that the massive globes had devoured his shorts in the back, leaving most of them out on display.
Oh well, Derek silently reasoned. It's not like they both haven't seen and been inside it before. Fingers (and toes) crossed, hopefully neither of them would ever have the pleasure of the latter, again.
“‘Scuse me,” Matt said quietly as he entered the fray.
Derek and the guards didn't move, all keen to reserve their remaining strength and limit their movements to only those that were explicitly necessary, which wasn't the case at the moment. There was enough room for the janitor to make it over to the wall, where he needed to insert his precious key to activate the elevator. Enough room for him to do so without touching Derek, but unsurprisingly, he elected to do so anyway.
As he passed, Matt made a literal point to allow his right arm to slide across Derek’s belly. Slide was putting it mildly, as he applied excessive pressure, and the point he made was to allow his elbow to press firmly into the unyielding orb as he reached into his pocket for his keys.
Derek grunted loudly from the added pressure, tottering as he sharply inhaled. His back, knees and ankles all screamed at him for relief that felt like it might never come.
Tammy and the security guards might've thought the janitor a bit simple for failing to recognize the urgency of the situation, but Ben and Derek knew better. Both knew Matt could've gone faster, but why he wasn't: because he could and because he enjoyed witnessing the literally uncomfortable results.
Finally, the freight elevator arrived. Derek and his “support staff” entered first, everyone else waiting while they (very) slowly turned around so they were all facing the door again. The freight elevator was indeed much larger than a conventional one, but they still only had just enough room.
Tammy and Ben stepped inside as Derek leaned against the back wall with a small but grateful sigh. In doing so, he knew he'd pinned the guards arms to the wall, which couldn't have been comfortable, but there was nothing he could or was even willing to attempt to do about it.
The panting preggo expected the elevator doors to close once Matt took his key from the wall, but they stayed open. They didn't close till the janitor also stepped inside, inserted his key into the corresponding hole and turned it. Yes, evidently Matt had to come along for the ride.
Wonderful.
Everyone was quiet as the elevator began its slow descent. Everyone except Derek, whose breathing made it sound as though he was doing lamaze despite his lack of training.
Everyone did everything they could to look anywhere but at him. Everyone except Matt. While everyone else, Ben included, looked around at the plethora of bare and shiny metal walls the elevator had to offer, the janitor looked directly at the plethora of bare and shiny, taut skin Derek was offering up for display.
An obviously proud (and as always, smug) grin formed on his handsome face. Still busying themselves looking elsewhere, no one but the giant preggo saw when Matt quickly stuck his tongue out and ran it across his lips. The lecherous action made Derek’s half hard dick throb against the underside of his belly.
Simultaneously, it made him want to crawl in a hole and die. Too bad he was nowhere near capable of crawling at the moment, nor was he anywhere near a hole big enough to fit him…
The lower in the building the elevator got, the slower it and time seemed to move. While it wasn't unusual for elevator rides to be awkward and uncomfortable, by far, this one took the cake.
Mmm, cake, Derek thought as he closed his eyes and inhaled through his nose, finally somewhat taming his heavy breathing.
What he really needed to tame was his relentless hunger… Following his most recent massive meal, which still had him looking and feeling closer to blowing than ever, the last thing he should've been thinking about was consuming more, but like so much else, he simply couldn't help it.
At least with his eyes closed, Manternity's mascot didn't have to see the janitor leering at him. He could still feel him doing so, so Derek thought harder about cake specifically, a super moist, all chocolate one. He ended up thinking so hard about it that without meaning to, he moaned low but loud, immediately drawing everyone's visual attention.
As soon as he realized what he'd most recently done to embarrass himself, Derek’s eyes popped open. As he lowered his head and looked around the elevator he found that unfortunately, his preggo “spidey senses” were correct… Everyone, Matt still included (but of course,) was looking at him.
The moment she and Derek's eyes met, Tammy quickly broke contact and cleared her throat. She opened her mouth to ask the question everyone was thinking but Matt, the lowly, typically mute maintenance worker, beat her to it.
“Are you alright, Mr. Carter?” He asked, deep voice low and even, not containing even a hint of concern.
Derek had no choice but to look at him. If he didn't, it would seem strange. He knew Tammy would definitely notice and at the very least, make mental note of it.
“Yes, I'm fine…” he replied, doing his best to keep his tone and breathing as even as possible.
“Are you sure?” The janitor asked, sounding like he wasn't really interested, even as he raised his brows. “Do you think today's the big day?”
Derek opened his mouth, but nothing came out, thankfully, not even another embarrassing grunt, moan or groan. When it came to words, he didn't know what to say? It might not've been obvious to anyone but himself and Whitman, but the “simple” questions the janitor had just asked him were heavily loaded. Nearly as heavily loaded as he was…
If he answered incorrectly, he knew Matt would react, not necessarily now, but eventually, and most likely in the form of some sort of punishment or another, aka: another lesson. All eyes in the elevator remained on the thirty-three old as they anxiously awaited his response.
As he continued to try and formulate it, Derek cursed the elevator for going so slow. He wanted this hellish ride to end before he had to reply, but given the rate of descent, knew it wouldn't. He closed his eyes as he pressed his lips tightly together and exhaled through his nose.
“Yes, I'm sure I'm fine,” he confirmed, somehow managing to do so in one, almost even breath. “And, no…” he continued, pausing to inhale. “I don't think today is the big day,” he solemnly shook his head.
“No..?” The janitor questioned, obviously surprised as his brows moved higher up.
“No,” Derek said firmly.
Matt smirked again but once more, only his two baby factories noticed.
“I'm impressed,” he said, though he didn't sound it.
Finally, he stopped leering at Derek and turned his attention back to his hefty keyring, dangling from the wall of the elevator. Without additional commentary, the janitor turned the key at work further to the right.
As soon as he did, the elevator suddenly lurched and started to descend much quicker than it had been, causing everyone, most especially Derek, to also lurch. Grunting, the guards did their best to steady themselves and him as his belly and breasts broke out into a wobbling tizzy. Tammy huffed as she braced herself in her corner.
“We could've been going this fast the whole time?!” She asked the janitor, now glaring at him.
“Safety first,” Matt replied with a small shrug.
Safety first… Yeah, right! Derek thought as he threw Whitman a quick, doubtful glance.
Ben might not've agreed, in fact, it was safe to say he didn't, but Derek certainly didn't consider any of this safe! Safety, their own and that of the babies they made together, was likely the last thing Matt thought about whenever he got Derek and Ben more (and more, and more) pregnant.
Not long after increasing its speed, the freight elevator slowed again. With another lurch, this one thankfully less intense, it came to a stop and the doors slowly opened, revealing they'd made it to the basement.
Derek let out a sigh of relief. Finally, he was almost out of there.
Tammy and Ben stepped out first, followed by him and the guards. Wide as the doors opened, there wasn't enough room for the three of them to exit side by side, so the guard to his right went first, angling the group out while Matt kept the doors open for them.
“Good luck, Mr. Carter,” the janitor said as Derek was pulled/pushed past him. “I hope to see you and the babies soon.”
The thirty-three year old’s feet briefly fumbled beneath him more than they already were. What the hell did that mean? Was that Matt's way of letting him know that he'd be having the (first) babies soon?
He didn't have the time or energy to think about it. Now that he was on the move again, Derek had to focus on that. Every small step he took, his groin throbbed and some of the biggest babies felt like they were being worked lower, filling his ass. Loading it…
His breathing quickly became haggard again and he fought hard not to groan. Fortunately, the loading dock was located fairly close to the freight elevator. Tammy and Whitman reached it first and pushed and held the double doors wide open.
Waiting on the dock were four medics, two standing to either side of an extra wide and reinforced gurney, the kind designed to accommodate very, very large people. People usually in need of such accommodation because they were massively obese, not because they were massively, ridiculously pregnant.
There was a fifth person also standing on the dock but for the time being, he remained off to the side. Too focused on the gurney and how he was going to get his enormous self onto it, Derek didn't notice that this other man was looking at him even more intently than everyone else.
If the medics were surprised by Derek’s state, they didn't show it. They were all laser focused as they worked together with the guards, slowly and carefully working the thirty-three year old onto the gurney. Derek didn't assist, he just let his body be moved and didn't bother to resist moaning and groaning in the process.
It felt good to finally be off his feet again, but not as good as he'd hoped. The back of the gurney was inclined so he was laying down, but not flat on his back. But with so much belly to contend with, Derek’s lap overflowed in every direction, forcing his giant tits up to either side of his chin.
He was so physically and mentally exhausted by then, he didn't bother to complain. There wouldn't have been a point, anyway. This transport was being done out of necessity, not for comfort.
Once the medics had Derek strapped down to the gurney, they and the guards stepped back while Tammy and Ben stepped forward. His assistant was the first to speak.
“I can't believe it's almost finally time,” she smiled down at him as she took and squeezed his closest hand.
“Maybe you can't!” Derek grunted, forcing himself to give a small smile.
“We'll keep in touch. I'll keep everything running while you're away,” Tammy promised.
“Thanks,” he replied, his smile growing. “Really…” he nodded. “Thanks for everything. I don't know how I would've managed this long without you?” He shook his head.
“Just doing my job,” Tammy winked, even though they both knew she'd gone way above and beyond her position's typical duties. “If you need anything, let me know, but I think you're in the best hands you could be in now,” she smiled as she withdrew hers and stepped back for Ben.
The former CEO moved in then turned so the front of his pregnancy wouldn't collide with the side of Derek's. Instinctively, the sweaty thirty-three year old looked at the swell he would've considered gigantic had it not been for his own.
“I'll meet you at the house,” Whitman said. “I've made some changes I think you're going to appreciate.”
“Oh?”
He nodded. “You'll see when you get there,” he said as he turned, looked over his shoulder and nodded. “Now there's someone I need to introduce you to.”
Derek silently commanded himself to not roll his eyes, though he wasn't sure he succeeded. He didn't want to meet anyone now (or so he thought,) he just wanted to get hauled on and into one of the two awaiting private ambulances, and get outta there!
“Derek, this is Jeremy Fletcher, the doula I used to use,” Whitman said, keeping the unexpected introduction short and sweet.
“Doulo,” Jeremy corrected as he stepped forward, smiled and offered Derek his hand.
“Oh! Nice to meet you!” Derek said, sounding somewhat happy for the first time in pretty much forever as he took his right hand from his belly and they shook.
“Likewise. I'm also a certified midhusband, so like your assistant said, between Ben and I, you're in great hands.”
“Wow…” Derek shook his head as he took his hand back. “I just… I wasn't expecting this.”
“I know, you're welcome,” Whitman chuckled. “I figured since this is your first time and well…” he trailed off for a second as he looked where else but at Derek’s belly. “I figured you'd appreciate another expert and an extra set of hands,” he winked.
Derek sighed. “At this point, I'll take any and all the help I can get.”
“Now that introductions have been made, lemme go and make sure your other surprises are ready,” Ben said as he made a wide turn and started waddling away. “You and Jeremy can chat on the ride over. I'm sure you both have a lot of questions for each other…” he said with a wave over his shoulder.
“Yeah…” Derek sighed again as he looked back over and up at Jeremy, giving him a small but grateful smile.
“Ready to go?” The midhusband asked, returning the smile, his bigger and surprisingly comforting.
“Please!” The now most pregnant man he'd ever seen, couldn't help but moan.
“Alright, you heard him,” Jeremy said to the medics as he searched for an open spot on the gurney to pat for emphasis. It took him a second since Derek took up so much of it, but eventually he found a spot. “Let's load up and get outta here!”

A few minutes later, the gurney had been secured in the back of the ambulance and they were on their way. Derek almost cried (tears of joy) when they exited the garage and he saw CorpaCorp headquarters start getting smaller and smaller through the back windows.
He still wasn't looking forward to all that lay ahead, but finally, after thinking and feeling like it never would, at least the beginning of the end had arrived. The realization came with some (additional) anxiety, but also, some relief, which this time, didn't instantly fade.
As it turned out, there was light at the end of the tunnel after all. Just a faint glimmer at the moment, but light nonetheless.
Jeremy, Derek, and however many babies he contained had the back of the ambulance to themselves. Two of the medics were up front, while the other two followed in the second rig.
Four medics and two ambulances seemed like overkill, but Derek took (slight) heart in knowing his new “caretaker” was obviously taking his role quite seriously. He himself probably wouldn't have thought of any of this, let alone been able to afford even half of it.
“So what're you thinking?” Jeremy asked quietly.
For a second, Derek had somehow forgotten he was there. As he turned his head and looked over at the doulo/midhusband, his doulo/midhusband, he released the breath he hadn't realized till then he'd been holding and then all of a sudden, he found himself laughing and crying…
“Sorry,” he promptly apologized.
“There's no need to be,” Jeremy shook his head. “I'm sure today is a big day for you.”
“It is,” Derek nodded as he raised his hands and wiped his eyes. “Another in a long line of them…”
“Of course. So..?”
“So what?”
“So what're you thinking?” Jeremy patiently asked again. “And what are you feeling?” He added.
It'd been forever since anyone had seemingly genuinely asked Derek about his thoughts or feelings. Over the course of his pregnancy, he'd been asked plenty of questions by the press, his higher-ups, Whitman and of course, Matt, but all of the above only cared about how he replied as it related to them… What they could do with his answer, what they had to do or could do because of it, etc.
That an almost stranger was the first to ask about him in a way which seemed to harbor zero judgment, came as quite the surprise. One of many (more) he could apparently expect, thanks to Ben…
Derek slowly shook his head, not knowing how to reply other than to say just that.
“I'm not even sure where to begin?” He admitted with another shake of his head and chuckle as his belly and breasts all rocked and rolled some more as the ambulance took another turn.
Jeremy smirked. “We can worry about the actual beginning later, and best believe we will,” he nodded as he looked at Derek. His face, to be precise. “Because I most definitely have questions, but right now, all I care about is now, and to know what you're feeling and thinking…”
While rubbing the still pendulous sides of his titanic belly, the thirty-three year old briefly closed his eyes and exhaled.
“I'm feeling relieved, exhausted, overwhelmed, and surprisingly, a little excited,” he listed off.
“All understandable,” Jeremy nodded before asking, “Aside from exhausted, how are you feeling physically?”
“Like I'm way too big, and like the babies, some of them anyway…” Derek rolled his eyes. “Probably should've been born a while ago.”
“When was the last time you saw your doctor?”
He grunted. “Definitely too long ago,” he admitted with a sigh.
“That's OK,” Jeremy nodded.
Much to Derek’s surprise, his tone remained judgment free. “Is it though?”
“What's done is done,” Jeremy shrugged. “So I'm assuming you don't know how many you're carrying?”
“Not anymore,” the preggo shook his head. “Not for a long time… Believe it or not, I think that's one of the only things that's helped keep me sane.”
“Do you have any ideas as to how you ended up carrying so many?” The doulo asked next.
“I have my theories, but honestly, that's all they are,” Derek replied. “Ben has a better understanding of the, I mean I guess you could say, our situation.”
“I see…” Jeremy said slowly. “Does that happen to mean the two of you share the same…”
“Baby daddy?” The thirty-three year old finished for him. “Yeah. Unfortunately.”
“Matt, the janitor.”
“You know him?”
“Just of him, and his so-called handiwork.”
“Impressed?” Derek asked with a short and dry chuckle.
“More so intrigued…” Jeremy replied. “He seems to have…” he paused for a moment. “Made some improvements in terms of his techniques. Ben's never gotten close to this big before,” he shook his head as he once again eyed Derek’s bare, enormous belly.
“Do you have a guess as to how many I'm gonna have?” Derek questioned.
Jeremy answered quickly and succinctly, and just as the thirty-three year old figured he would. “No.”
“I figured…” He sighed. “I'm gonna be OK though, right? I mean I do and I don't know what I'm in for.”
The midhusband couldn't help but sigh in return as he looked from Derek’s face back down at his belly. “You'll be OK,” he assured. “But giving birth for the first time, or times in your case, usually isn't easy.”
“Getting to this point wasn't a walk in the park either!” The preggo grunted. “But here I am…”
“Here you are,” Jeremy nodded.
“Do you really think I'll be up to it?”
“Definitely,” he nodded again. “As soon as you've settled in at Ben's, I'll give you an exam and see how things look. Then we'll use the time we have to do some exercises to help you better prepare.”
“Exercises?” Derek groaned.
“Don't worry,” Jeremy laughed. “I'm not gonna ask you to do laps around the yard!”
“Good, ‘cause I wouldn't even make it around once!”
“I'd be amazed if you did!” He chuckled. “That's why most of your exercises will take place in the pool.”
“If you're talking about Ben's pool, it isn't open,” Derek shook his head.
“Shit,” Jeremy frowned. “Actually, it is now… Please don't tell him I spilled the beans, ‘cause he was super excited to tell you himself.”
“I'll keep your secret so long as you promise to keep mine…”
“Meaning..?”
“Meaning I know basically everyone knows about me now,” the thirty-three year old sighed, belly and breasts wobbling some more as the ambulance took another turn. “I'd just rather they didn't know about what we'll be working on together, so to speak.”
“You just found out I existed,” Jeremy pointed out.
Derek nodded.
“And till recently, the reason Ben retired early wasn't confirmed, nor did anyone know when he and I started working together…”
“That's all true,” he realized aloud.
“I'm good at keeping secrets, Derek,” Jeremy smirked. “That and even though I'm not technically a doctor, I had to take a similar oath, so it's also part of my job. Midhusband/doulo/patient confidentiality is a thing,” he nodded.
“Perfect,” the preggo nodded back, starting to feel even (slightly) better about things.
All except for having to exercise…
“So when you say I'll be exercising in the pool…”
“Just basic water aerobics. Nothing too strenuous,” Jeremy assured. “I just want to get you moving more.”
“Anything else?”
“Potentially… I won't know for sure till after I've examined you,” he continued. “But since this is your first time, and it looks like your babies are quite large,” he said as he eyed Derek’s belly again, particularly its lower half, where the biggest, first to be born, were located. “I'll probably have you do some stretching exercises as well.”
“What do I need to…” Derek started to ask, but then it hit him.
Hard. He suddenly realized Jeremy was talking about the fact he had to stretch his hole. He gulped loud enough that it could be heard over the wails of the ambulances’ sirens.
“I promise it's not as bad as it sounds… Not only will it really help, but some guys end up really enjoying it!”
Derek grunted, indicating his disbelief. “Fuck…” he groaned. “I'm gonna end up just ruined down there, aren't I?”
“You'll end up different, but not ruined,” Jeremy shook his head. “Especially if we work on stretching as much as we can beforehand.”
“Am I gonna end up in diapers too?”
He laughed. “Temporarily, if even at all. You're still pretty young, so as long as everything goes smoothly, you should recover relatively quickly and easily.”
“And if things don't go smoothly?” Derek hated to, but had to ask.
“They will,” Jeremy nodded.
“I believe you when you say that,” Derek nodded. “And I'm not doubting your abilities,” he transitioned to shaking. “If you've worked with Ben, I know you're good,” he went back to nodding. “But he and I… We might currently share a situation, but ultimately, we're different.”
“Meaning..?” The doulo cocked his brows.
“Meaning for whatever reason, he enjoys this!” Derek replied, giving his belly a few gentle shakes he almost instantly regretted as it only riled the babies back up. “He wants to be this big, and if I had to guess, he probably enjoys giving birth too!” He huffed. “I haven't had the privilege of doing that yet, but I can already tell you, me..? Not so much!”
Jeremy smirked again as he shook his head. “I don't know much about you yet, but already I could tell that you and Ben are different.”
“Aside from physically..?”
“Aside from physically,” he confirmed.
“Oh, thank God!” Derek exhaled before quickly clarifying. “Don't get me wrong, I appreciate all the help Ben's giving me, including you,” he nodded. “But…”
“I get it. Now don't get me wrong… I also think Ben's a great guy, but he's definitely a…” Jeremy paused again. “Different breed, I guess you could say?” He shrugged.
The thirty-three year old chuckled and nodded as he suddenly (gently) slapped both hands against the bulging sides of his belly to try and keep it somewhat steady after the ambulance went over a large but languid bump in the road. Different breed…
That was one way of describing the enigma that was Benjamin Whitman.
“You said it, not me.”
“Hopefully, that's another secret I can count on you keeping?” The midhusband asked while raising his brows again.
Derek took his right hand from his belly and raised it accordingly as he solemnly replied, “Scout's honor.”
“Oh, wow!” Jeremy instantly grinned. “You're a scout too?!”
“No!” Derek laughed. “But why am I not surprised you are?”
“What's that supposed to mean?” The doulo frowned.
“Nothing bad,” the giant preggo assured. “All good.”
“Yeah..?”
“Yeah.”
