Progress Report Week 41
🕑 Added 2025-10-11 13:30:31 +0000 UTCHeads up, this is going to be a rather lengthy post.
Time Off
These past 3 weeks, they have been exactly what I needed.
Not only giving me much needed rest but also in giving me some clarity about going forward.
After these 3 weeks of doing nothing regarding work, I feel the most rested I've been since starting Naughty Attic Gaming.
The past couple of years, ever day has been filled with work in some shape of form.
And with that also comes a lot of stress.
Stress that has been building up for years and years.
I love what I'm doing, I think everyone knows that.
But sometimes I'm also a little bit struggling with myself.
In the past 6 months, there have been days where I didn't feel like myself.
Spending day after day, hour after hour behind my desk.
I began to feel drained which caused me to feel de-motivated and I kinda began to feel like a zombie that is just going through the motion.
I know that there are multiple reasons for that.
Some because of personal issues in my life and family.
But also some because of the job that I have.
The is so much uncertainty in this line of work, and uncertainty about my new game.
It adds up over time, the stress and work.
I've spend a lot of time thinking about it in the past week.
"Is this truly what I want?"
"A new game, am I sure that is the right choice."
"Do I want to stay as a developer."
All questions that crossed my mind.
In the end, I do want to keep working as a developer.
I do want to share so much more with all of you.
When I look back at what I created with Sweet Affection, I feel proud and happy.
I love doing this, even though it's not always easy.
Or perhaps better said, I don't always make it easy on myself.
Me being a developer, that isn't going to change.
But something does have to change, otherwise I'll be back feeling like a zombie in no time.
Even though Naughty Attic gaming has never been just a job for me.
I am going to start treating it like that to some degree.
No longer checking in on this website or my mails/messages every 10 minutes when I'm supposed to be having some off-time.
Or keeping a notepad next to me to write ideas down throughout the entire day.
I'll be having normal work-hours, 6 days a week.
And before/after work, I'm going to try and stay away as much as possible.
Which means that I might take longer to respond to messages in the future.
I know that the information above is a lot of information to read.
And to some it might even be a little bit too much.
But I promised that I would always be honest with you guys and I wanted to share it with you.
However, I do want to emphasize that working on Sweet Affection never caused me to feel bad or anything negative.
Like I mentioned many times before, I love working on it.
It's a true joy and I look forward to it every day.
That's why I've been able to push forward non-stop for so many years now.
But I think everyone who has been following me for a longer time knows that I always had an issue with overextending myself.
And that it has been a long road... sometimes a difficult road.
It's a issue I'm still working on and will be working on in the future.
In the meantime, I want to assure and promise you guys that I'm not going anywhere.
I'm going to continue working on Sweet Affection and create much, much more content.
And create hopefully something just as special with A.N.R in the coming months/years.
For now, I'm going to end this personal section and talk about work.
But first I want to say thank you to everyone.
For being okay with me taking 3 weeks off.
I really appreciate all of you sticking with me and understanding it. :)
Sweet Affection
Immediately after coming back from my holiday I went back to work on this month's update.
I had planned to do the Cosplay / Lingerie / Spa events.
But after talking with my coder we agreed that we wouldn't have enough time for coding/testing if I would do that.
So this month will contain all the cosplay events + Spa events instead.
(Yes, there will be multiple different spa events this time.)
In total there will be 6 new events which might sound small.
But the events will all be rather lengthy and this update will likely be bigger than last month update.
Next month will be about implementing the Lingerie / Texts / Room Items + Suzie content.
And then in December I will implement the final events for this level with the dates + Suzie content.
And then starting 2026 with a bang with the level up event for Sarah and Shannon
Lots of Suzie content in November, December and January because I am planning on implementing her content in the MC'S home as well as her new level-up event + content.
So plenty of new content planned for the coming months.
This Wednesday I'll be posting the first sneak peek for the 0.11.9 update.
And I should be able to give more information about the progress, next week.
A.N.R
During the last post I said that I finished all the planned art.
That was a mistake.
I still have some random encounters to create.
Random encounters?
Yes, there will be multiple events throughout the home where there is a chance you'll be caught by one of the ladies.
To name an example, you can rummage through the laundry basket and find certain... items in there and you might be caught when you do that.
There will be multiple events like this throughout the home where there is always a chance someone might walk in on you.
For the normal events, everything is finished.
Each girl will have 7 events throughout the day and each of those 7 events will have 3 unique options.
You can simply spend time with them and chat or do something a little bit more intimate.
So each girl will have 21 unique scenes in the first update.
So with 4 girls, that means that there will be 28 events in the first update and 100+ unique scenes.
And that is not counting the random encounters.
I will provide more information about the game mechanics and what exactly I'm planning
in terms of progression for the game in the near future.
I am aiming to spend the next 4 weeks on finishing all the art-work.
And then spend the 6 weeks after that writing and coding everything.
Once we start coding, I will be able to provide more information.
Because once it's coded, it's set in stone. :)
And I can safely promise something without having to backtrack if it becomes impossible.
As mentioned, my aim is to release the 0.1 version at the end of this year.
But also more information about that once we start coding.
For now, I think it might be time to end this post.
As mentioned, in the future it might take me a bit longer to respond to your messages.
But I will always come back to you as soon as I can, that is a promise.
Regarding updates, nothing will change. :)
Still the monthly Sweet Affection updates, weekly progress reports and the regular sneak peeks.
I want to thank all of you again for your support.
And if you have any questions or comments, you can always reach me on here or on discord.
I will be back this Wednesday with the progress report and this Monday with the 0.11.8 release for Tier 1
- Naughty Attic Gaming
