Progress Report Week 38
🕑 Added 2023-09-24 16:37:13 +0000 UTCI'm happy to say that I finished work on all the planned dates for M&S.
With over 1,600 images and 8 animations, there is going to be plenty of new content for both M&S.
I also started work on all the texts for M&S.
I finished making all the text images and am currently in the process of writing them.
My goal is to have that finished tomorrow, and then get started on Sidney her Level 4 texts.
I'm expecting to start beta testing on Thursday.
And, I'm confident that we can have an early release, this month.
My goal is to release the 0.9.92 build for Tier 3 on Friday, 29 September, 12:00 GMT.
Because that is on a Friday, and I'm not able to write a change-log, just yet.
I'll be posting a special post containing only the changelog on Thursday.
Sweet Affection 0.10.0
Next month, besides the level-up event, there will also be the planned removal of the spy-cams.
As previously mentioned, I am going to ask everyone to download a full new build with that update.
This way, I can make sure everyone is working with the same mechanics and version of the game.
And we can go ahead with as little bugs as possible.
Because downloading the entire game (especially the HQ version) is a lot to ask.
I'll be providing multiple new options for that update only.
Besides the normal links, I'll be including...
- A torrent.
- The HQ file will be divided into 4 packages. (All uploaded to the usual file hosts.)
If you have more suggestions on how I can make this as easy as possible for you.
Please let me know and we'll see if we can make it happen.
Besides that, after the 0.10.0 update, I'll be introducing cumulative patch packages.
Meaning, that I'll be providing a link that will contain the previous 5 patches contained in one big patch.
This way, if you missed an update or two, you don't have to download multiple patches.
(So, for example. When we reach 0.10.2, there will be a patch containing the 0.10.1 and 0.10.2 patches in one file.)
I hope that that makes updating the game a bit easier on everyone. :)
But, if you have more suggestions, please let me know.
One last thing,
During the last couple of years of development, I noticed that the soundtracks are not functioning as they should anymore.
I'll be looking into that after my break, and make sure that is all sorted out as well.
As always, if you have any questions or comments.
You can reach me here or on Discord.
Thank you to everyone that has been supporting us.
And, I'll be back with another report, next week!
