SOME CHANGES (& UPDATES) AFOOT!
🕑 Added 2022-04-24 18:59:42 +0000 UTCHey everyone!
I hope you've all had a good weekend.
I'll be posting my loose schedule for this coming week on my community tab in just a bit (and will hopefully be able to stick to it better than this past week) but I wanted to pop in here just to update you guys on a couple things.
First things first, a content change!
I've decided that moving forward I will no longer be doing reactions to survival/competition shows that have already finished airing. I'll explain why in just a sec but first a couple clarifications:
- The one exception to this is Street Woman Fighter which I will be finishing because I really enjoy the whole show
- This does mean I will not be finishing Produce 101 Season 1 or Youth With You 2, which I know may be frustrating for some but please understand this is a choice I gotta make
- Although I won't react to the full shows, I will do reactions to performances from those shows (following suggestions from you guys) and then, if I'm interested, watch parts of the show in my free time
- Shows that are currently airing/will air in the future (eg. Queendom 2 or if/when they do another GP999 type thing) I will check out if I'm interested in them
Okay so, why? Several reasons.
They are long ass episodes and aside from the performances/a few interactions here and there, I don't get a whole lot from, nor particularly enjoy, watching them. It will honestly be a much more enjoyable, less draining and significantly easier experience for me to react to performances only and then, if I want to, go back and watch episodes in my own time. There's also the fact that actually finding the time to react to these shows regularly is really difficult for me (as I'm sure many of you have noticed lmao).
Watching shows as they air is a very different experience for me as it feels more like I can actively engage with it, instead of looking from outside in - often already knowing the result - which frankly is kinda boring.
So yeah, I hope that all makes sense and like I said, I get that it might be a little frustrating in some cases but please know that the immense feeling of relief I got when I realised this was a decision I could make, let's me know that this is absolutely the right call for me!
Feel free to leave recommendations for stages from shows you'd like me to check out and I'll compile a list to work through! I'll also be starting with the last few stages from PD101 Season 1 soon.
Next update!
It's been a few weeks since my last old request marathon because life shit, but I want to let those of you that have been so patient know that I'm still working on it and will be getting back on track this week (it was meant to be last week but again... life).
A little while ago I rearranged the marathon "schedule" and now it looks like this:
I'm not going to promise that I'll do one of these marathons every week but I do want to be as close to weekly as I can get. This is why I've rearranged my schedule so Saturdays are for dramas & requests only.
Once these are done, I do plan on opening a handful more spots on the new request tier as well, but I'll update more on that when we get there!
Okay that's all for now. Long ass post so thank you if you read all this way!
See you tomorrow folks!
- Kaia
