Jay, this episode is one of my favourites...although, admittedly, I have a LOT of favourites. Every time I watch Vincent in the art gallery and hear Dr. Black talk about him as a painter and a person, I sob ugly tears. It gets me deep in the feels. I was so excited to share this episode with you, my young friend. The remainder of this season only gets better.

My mother was an art teacher whose favorite painter was Van Gogh, so this episode meant so much to me. And it's so well written and acted, I love it. Your reaction was everything I hoped it would be. Fun fact - Dr. Black, the man in the gallery, is played by Bill Nighe who played Davy Jones in Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. (Many other roles, too, but that's the one of his most iconic.) It's also rumored he turned down the role of The Doctor. No spoilers, but you're going to love the rest of the season as well.
