🕑 Added 2023-05-10 22:27:10 +0000 UTCFor this post, I'm going to be a wee bit crass and debauched, but totally earnest; a nice appetizer the whet the whistle for a larger, second post this month.
My birthday saw me looking a bit more at luxury goods and designer parfumes- as I've always said, top shelf and above, bottom shelf and below, and this was one of those higher end moments. I've always been a woman of specific tastes; heady rose, vintage leather, incense, tuberose, cedar, agarwood, eucalyptus (which links well into), oceanic scents, black coconut and sea fennel. I love smoke, I love incense, I love leather, I don't do sugary sweet. (No hate for the femmy femme girl, love a superfemme, but that's never been how I roll.) No powders, no vanillas. Vanilla is for eating.
So, my forays into scent of choice has been somewhat extensive. I would say my signatures were Issey Miyake's signature, and Destroying Eden's Be My Druidess. Designer and something more down to earth and essential oil based (as long as they're well-crafted.) There times I like to smell expensive and times I like to smell well-travelled and down-to-earth rocker.
So darlings and friends, I went on a designer scent BINGE- ordering samples, fucking about. And in doing so I discovered more than one luxury goods resaler.
It was my birthday month. I splurged. What came home? Rockstar Saint Laurent aviators, Louboutins, and a Prada leather strappy sachel. And after I purchased them? My God, the RUSH I experienced-! I'm not an Extremely materialistic lady- I do charity work, I give gifts, but I also am extremely fond of nice things and a smart investment, high end things that will last a lifetime, and signs and markers of indulgent and luxurious things set me aflush, this we know of me- and the thrill was practically a High. Dialated pupils, racing pulse, the whole thing.
I immediately took myself to bed and managed a furiously pounding ache between my legs.
I can't apologize! Power, and symbols of power are Potently sexy.
I made a point of updating my Throne with things that speak to that side of me, in the scent department. Perhaps they'll languish until Christmas, but how I long to try more things on my skin. Gently, but at the right moments.

Your appetite for nice things and lovely gifts certainly is a craving I delight in attempting to sate, both in the realms of the created and the purchased. And I delight in your usage of "wee", it's among my favourite words.
