Among so many in my list of femme fatales, one that comes to mind is Scáthach the Shadow from Irish Mythology. Not only was she warrior, but an instructor and forged heroes of Ireland. (I give her props because it takes a lot to survive the sands of time especially coming from oration story roots.) And maybe just to add little something to the post. I feel like there is one more quality that is associated with the blade which has been named the "Iron Will" or "Steeled Determination." It's that kind of dedication coupled with passion that any lover would need to catch their breath thinking about!

I think the one that stands out to me is Catherina Zeta-Jones, in Legend of Zorro. Probably because it was one of the first action movies my parents showed me as a child. They loved showing old movies to my brother and I (sometimes accidentally like The Blues Brothers with its unceasing cursing xD) and I remember them loving older movies, so when we got old enough my parents showed it to us. And I remember watching them, the classic Zorro movies, Three Musketeers, Man in the Iron Mask, and with them falling in love with that old style adventure. Now, nothing makes me happier and comfier than watching those old, cheesy adventure flicks. Or the Dollars movies where Eastwood made his mark on spaghetti westerns. A bowl of popcorn and an evening of movies is just, chef's kiss.

Don't really catagorise women by weapon. But I do remember back when I was a kid In the S.C.A. My area had a Queen by her own rite, we decided ruler every 6 months trial by combat, win a "Heavy" (Heavy combat was plate mail and your choice of weapons [mostly rattan wrapped in duct tape]) tournament get crowned she was the only woman to have ever won. She even had to deal with a "rhino hide" a guy who kept say her hits were "light" as in weak or only glancing blows right up until she put a 2 inch deep 4 inch long dent in his helmet. he got disqualified.

There is indeed something overwhelmingly sexy about a badass, capable and dangerous woman. And the sharpness and elegance of a sword goes so damn well with that. In fact, after recently hunting down some old DVDs I've begun a rewatch of the Crouching Tiger-era and style of Chinese wuxia movies, as they are not on streaming and while I have seen them many times I have not seen them in years. I have a weakness, as I do myself have some years of Chinese martial arts training in my past. Specifically Hung Gar. I watched Hero last weekend and I'll watch Crouching Tiger on Friday, and House of Flying Daggers some time later. And some shots of Maggie Cheung in Hero had my knees buckling. I'm also immensely looking forward to once more see Michelle Yeoh in Crouching Tiger. Tangentially related; Seeing House of Flying Daggers at a young age was definitely a notable contributor to me eventually becoming a knife (and axe) thrower. And from a different time and part of the world, let's not forget Julie d'Aubigny! But in the end, my favourite sword femme is without a shadow of a doubt; You. Edit: I've now rewatched Crouching tiger, and gods, the two romances hits much deeper than they did when I was young and didn't fully understand them. The tragically romantic reason for why one never bloomed. The continuous singing a man did while a lady bathes so she'll know he wasn't close. Two things among many that was much more impactful to me now than they were years ago. Edit 2: How the hell did I forget Lagertha. Possibly a historical Viking shieldmaiden and ruler, possibly a mythological figure, likely a bit of both. In the Vikings show portrayed by Katheryn Winnick. The epitome of badass and gorgeous.

Now I'm reminded of my fascination with some of the few women pirates like Godless Anne Dieu-le-Veut

I do love your choice of blade. It was something I always wanted to study but did not have access to anyone to teach me. My father being an ex boxer I did learn to be a pugilist and later had some training with a bo staff. But yes a dangerous woman with a blade is very alluring
