refiner is a model that is exchanged during the end of image generation, it is useful when you want to use the scene generation capacity of one model and the realism of another

The Gold version is the best option for refiner or img2img, the Silver version has a little more capacity to generate images in text2img mode, the Bronze version works better for text2img but loses a lot of the realism of the Gold version.
