The system prompted as Roy touched Raynare's chin.
'Seventy thousand points?' Roy thought.
Worthy of an antagonist who nearly killed Issei and Asia in the anime.
Raynare's points outstripped Riser's and nearly matched Kiba's.
Raynare's heart pounded, terror gripping her despite the warmth of Roy's hand.
His words echoed, chilling her to the core.
"I… I'm untouched," she stammered, forcing a flattering smile.
"No one of the opposite sex has ever… touched me."
"Good."
Roy turned to Mittelt, the petite gothic fallen angel.
"And you?"
"Same!" Mittelt snapped, her tone laced with resentment.
She didn't understand why Raynare feared this human so much.
Even if Roy was a Sacred Gear wielder, surely two fallen angels could fight or flee.
Kneeling and answering his humiliating question felt like a betrayal of their pride.
Mittelt's confusion burned.
Why grovel to a human?
The shame of a fallen angel pandering to Roy made her skin crawl.
"Looks like you both got lucky."
Roy turned, exposing his back, and walked toward the villa.
Mittelt's eyes flared—a perfect chance for a sneak attack.
Her hand twitched toward her Light Spear, but Raynare's desperate glare and a firm grip on her wrist stopped her.
Struggling briefly, Mittelt relented, watching Roy enter the villa, her comeback plan fizzing out.
She opened her mouth, but Raynare's sharp look silenced her.
Frustration boiled inside her.
Raynare shook her head, still kneeling, not daring to rise even as Roy disappeared inside.
Mittelt's ignorance could've doomed them.
Inside, Roy approached Asia, asleep.
He poked her cheek gently. "Asia."
Stirring, Asia mumbled, "Roy…" Her eyes fluttered open, heavy with sleep.
"Keep sleeping," Roy teased at her drowsy state.
"I'll carry you to your room."
Asia's eyelids drooped, closing as she drifted off.
Roy scooped her up in a princess carry, heading to the second floor to tuck her into her room.
Outside, Mittelt whispered, "Lady Raynare, we're just kneeling here?"
"You nearly got us killed!" Raynare hissed, glancing nervously at the villa's door.
Seeing no movement, she continued, "You wanted to attack that lord?"
"Let's escape now…" Mittelt interrupted in between.
"Run if you want, but leave me out of it!" Raynare snapped.
Her face mixed fear with a flicker of excitement and ambition, baffling Mittelt.
Roy could kill them or toy with them—why the anticipation?
"Lady Raynare, who is he?" Mittelt asked, looking a bit wary.
Raynare gave her a look of disdain, as if Mittelt were a hopeless idiot.
"No one's as clueless as you."
The Grigori cataloged most known Sacred Gears.
"Name a gauntlet-type Sacred Gear, besides a Longinus, that can do multiple power boosts," Raynare said.
"Longinus?" Mittelt's eyes widened, realization dawning.
"You mean his Sacred Gear is…"
Raynare nodded. "The Boosted Gear, one of the thirteen Longinus."
"The Sekiryuutei, one of the Two Heavenly Dragons!" Mittelt gasped, bowing her head, nearly prostrating.
Her earlier defiance now terrified her—they'd danced on the edge of death.
The Sekiryuutei's legacy loomed large.
The first-generation Red Dragon Emperor, Ddraig, required the combined might of the Three Factions to even fight.
Even Azazel, the Grigori's governor, treated Sekiryuutei wielders with respect.
Low-Class fallen angels like Raynare and Mittelt were ants before such might.
Mittelt shivered, recalling her near-attack.
Had Raynare not stopped her, they'd be killed.
"W-what now, Lady Raynare?" Mittelt asked, her voice still trembling.
"Kneel and wait for the his orders," Raynare replied with a sligh.
Mittelt pressed herself lower, whispering compliance.
Unlike Mittelt's raw fear, Raynare's expression held ambition.
Serving the Sekiryuutei could skyrocket her status among the fallen angels.
Her beauty was above even among fallen angels.
Roy's interest in it gave her hope—not just for survival, but for power.
The Grigori valued Longinus wielders, with figures like the Hakuryuukou, Albion's host, as Azazel's confidants.
Despite the Sekiryuutei-Hakuryuukou rivalry, Azazel's Sacred Gear obsession would ensure Roy's value.
Aligning with him could secure Raynare's future.
"Come in, you two," Roy called out from the villa.
Raynare rose shakily, Mittelt stumbling, legs weak from fear.
They steadied themselves and entered respectfully.
What followed unfolded naturally.
---
The next morning, Roy stepped out of his room, dressed, and spotted Asia bustling in the living room.
She'd prepared breakfast and was cleaning.
"Asia?"
"Roy, I'm so sorry for falling asleep last night," Asia said, her face flushed with guilt.
"No worries," Roy said.
"Anything happen while you were out?"
"Come out, you two," Roy called toward the bedroom.
Raynare and Mittelt emerged, clad in clothes conjured by their magic.
"Lady Raynare! Mittelt!" Asia gasped, tensing as if facing enemies.
"They're not foes anymore," Roy said, grinning.
"Relax, Asia."
"Not foes?" Asia blinked, confused.
"Asia Argento," Raynare said, bowing slightly,
"Mittelt and I now serve Lord Roy."
"You needn't fear us. I no longer covet your Sacred Gear."
"I apologize for my past intentions."
"Oh!" Asia, ever forgiving, softened.
Raynare's plan hadn't harmed her, and her kind heart held no grudges.
She accepted the apology easily.
"Serve Roy?" Asia asked, tilting her head.
"Indeed," Raynare said, a hint of pride in her voice.
"We're Lord Roy's now. Serve him well alongside us."
"You two," Roy cut in, addressing Raynare and Mittelt, "when I'm not here, Asia's in charge."
"Yes, Lord Roy," they replied in unison, bowing, not daring to object.
