Bad Life Drawing
🕑 Added 2020-01-07 17:46:33 +0000 UTCThis year a goal I wanted to do was do more gesture drawing, I actually haven't done any..really since college. So.. these are very bad.
These were pretty much all.. uh 65 seconds to draw the pose. I did maybe 80 drawings but many of the ones I didnt include were illegible anyway. Trying desperately to remember the techniques I was taught.. which just takes a lot of drawing.
I had a lot more luck when I stopped looking for muscles, and concentrated more on negative space, and shadows. Suddenly describing the pose was a lot easier.
But I hope to do more and get better, so I'm showing you them anyway. Maybe you can hold me accountable.

Well, let's be honest, you are not doing these for your old life-drawing teacher :) Having a great critique on yourself is good, but it's not helpful if you see it always "not enough good". As long as you practice you will always improve ouo

I say bad mostly because it's been way too long since I've done this, and my old life-drawing teacher would HATE every one of these. hah but I'm not trying to put myself down by titling it "bad". Mostly the hope to get better by doing them more. But thank you!

I wouldn't call it bad, maybe you are feel it like this coz it's not like what you expected :) But i see how much work and effort you put in them, so you should be proud of it! I really like them ;) Tbh i will also get back to anatomy real soon, since i didn't practice it in long years, and it wasn't helping me at all. So keep up the good work, and have a fun practice!
