Imagine my delight after going away for a month to see that you've played PORTAL!! Despite your constant self-deprecations, you're extremely clever and it's a joy to watch. I noticed the closing credits weren't in the video; is that just for copyright reasons? Because the song during the credits -- Still Alive -- is as good as the game.

If you ever go ahead and try Portal 2, you should know that in the EXTRAS menu there is an official little comic called LAB RAT that connects Portal 1 with Portal 2. I definitely recommend you read it! It will surely satiate some of your questions!

You did a really good job editing this video. The comment sections of Portal playthroughs can be BRUTAL with people nitpicking puzzle confusion, but you seem to have cut out all the "what the heck am I doing here?" moments.

Ohhhhhhh! I was waiting for you to finish HL2 Ep2 before commenting about Portal and especially Portal2 as it has good tie-ins to HL2 but you beat me to the punchline! Love this! My cat Ziggy approves also .

prince sidon

you should definitely play portal 2 its one of the most video game video games ever made

Started watching this video while recovering from allergies is exactly what I needed. Also RIP to annoying alarm clock.

Great choice, it really is one of those rare perfect games. P2 is maybe less laser-focused and lean, but still well worth playing. And yeah revisiting older childhood games would be fun to see!

John jorts

Yes to you revisiting games you played a long ass time ago.

solifis

I love this game and your playthrough so much!! Very well done! I enjoyed every moment and would love more lime this! Also Portal 2 now! Thank you, Amber, for creating so much amazing content!

This set of dialogue from the final fight always has me chuckling... GLaDOS is brutal. "There was even going to be a party for you. A big party that all your friends were invited to. I invited your best friend the companion cube. Of course, he couldn't come because you murdered him. All your other friends couldn't come either because you don't have any other friends. Because of how unlikable you are. It says so right here in your personnel file: Unlikable. Liked by no one. A bitter, unlikable loner whose passing shall not be mourned. 'Shall not be mourned.' That's exactly what it says. Very formal. Very official."

Exciting!! I've not been able to keep up with Half-Life, but this is an immediate watch. God, I must have played this in...2008, maybe? Such a long time ago! And such a lovely game. I think I might enjoy Portal 2 more overall, but this game is so well designed and well made that it's hard to argue against it being one of the best games ever made.

I've had a stressful week too (and another stressful week coming up, lolsob) so I'm very glad that you're playing this - and that it's specifically you playing it :) Your videos always feel so cozy and cheery!

Portal is a fun little experiment that Valve did as part of the HL2 promotion. It turned into an unexected hit, so they cranked everything up to 11 and released Portal 2, which is one of the funniest games I've ever played

Trolez

Oh my goodness, I'm excited to watch this later today!

joshnojoshua

wait, wheres the ending credits song? Still alive i believe, did steam remove it or something? Would of loved to see her reaction to that lol

Flukemarm

What a good surprise, been hoping for these. It was cool to see how much HL2 Episode 1 was similar to this game in terms of design and "puzzles"

Mogura

Well now you have to play Portal 2 if you havent!

Marcel Génetay

OHMYGOD, yes! Portal 1 & 2 are my favourite game to watch blind playthroughs of (alongside Hollow Knight) I really hoped this would follow on HL2, and you (as always) didn’t disappoint! 🤩

Jeremy Montoya

Hopefully this game was able to help you through any bum moments, I’m happy to see a release but it’s more important that it could help you through the moment! Also I never played Portal, only Portal 2 so I’m looking forward to see it in action

NexX

So happy to see you playing portal its a great game and so is the sequel

Munshai

Hope you're doing alright Amber! As much as I love the Half Life games, I was looking towards this one so much! I agree with you about the game being near perfect.
