Doing great, enjoying so far. Keep it up 👍

Nah you're doing fine, it's a game that wants you to slow down and take everything in ...until you get ambushed by five headcrabs, then yeah you just run

Chris DePrisco

I’m glad you are playing through Half Life! A few months ago I started playing through it again and barely got into it before I got too busy and had to set it aside. Now I can watch you enjoy it instead. 😊

“greatest games of all time” I hope there’s shadow of the colossus there ✨

W. W. Wiklund

Woooo! Amber experiencing classic games continues apace! :D <3

Chris Cooper

The reason your character is so fast is that it was built on the Quake engine - a much more "arcade-y" shooter, and I'm pretty sure they basically just inherited the movement speed from that and didn't really adjust it. This was also definitely not built with controllers in mind so you might find it behaves a bit oddly - even though Valve has done a great job at updating the game for a slightly more modern audience!

Ooh greatest games of all time should make for lots of varied fun, I hope SOTC still makes those lists. Half-Life seems like the perfect choice right now, a bit of humor after the oppressive Silent Hills.

Ben

Oh man! One of my absolute favs, what a great choice!
