I'd like to reassure you that the second game really irons out a lot of the janky game design decisions in the first one. Not to mention it should (HOPEFULLY!) be able to save properly for you.

It means so much that you sat down for hours just to replay the parts that were lost and finish the game for us! I loved the playthrough, and agree with all your criticisms as well as the things you liked. You should definitely take a break from Ori for now, but you should try Will of the Wisps sometime (even on your own) cause it really is much better (the combat and mechanics really).

What a lovely surprise revisit. Really glad to see you go back and finish this, although it must have been a monster edit. Will of the Wisps is certainly a step up from the Blind Forest, but I understand if you are not eagerly jumping straight into that game.

Nice to see you on a stroll to finish your games finally, lol.

Oh my, Walton is a magical dog! Love the "smoke" effect. :D

You're editing is really satisfying.

Second game is more enjoyable. Still worth playing on your own time even if you don't record it. The second game has actual boss fights, and not just running away from stuff.

I definitely loved the mood and story of this game, but I agree that the controls were less tight than my favorite metroidvanias! One of the things I love about the will of the wisps is the combat focus and side quests. It improves on the controls and abilities and removes the awful saving feature from the first. I know you’re probably over Ori at the moment (I would be too hahahaha), but the second game is pretty amazing!

Oh, now this IS a surprise!! I bought this after seeing you start it and really enjoyed the game. Looking forward to seeing you finish it and what your overall thoughts are

Yay new video! I recommend giving Will of the Whisps a shot, even if the Blind Forest didn’t click . IMO the first game just isn’t that good, and I’ve seen a lot of streamers/let’s players give up on it. The sequel has a much better combat system, more similar to Hollow Knight. Also traversing around the world is a lot more fun.

I think someone is marking off stuff on her to-do list :P I’m going to watch Ori tomorrow :D
