Freebie: Chicken Breed Pack 1
🕑 Added 2021-08-20 15:24:03 +0000 UTCI LOVE Cottage Living. I was a bit bummed though when I saw the limited breeds of some of the animals. Some other modders have begun with new breeds for cows (and I may join them at some point), but I haven't seen any mods for new chicken breeds yet.
BEHOLD, Chicken Breed Pack 1. This is a freebie (because I just cannot stop giving away my best content). This pack contains four new breeds of chicken, for a total of 8 new chickens (each has a Hen and Rooster variant).

This mod has 2 dependencies. One (which should be obvious) is Cottage Living. The other allows for multiple custom animal mods to exist without overwriting each other. You can download it here:

This is AMAZING! I joined just so I could leave a comment thanking you! :) This RL chicken mama was also disappointed with the lack of realism with the chickens in Cottage Living. If I can request... I'd love to see Marans, Bielfelders and Cream Legbars (all chickens I have in my backyard right now!). I also wondered if you had or are able/willing to make the eggs the correct colors for the different breeds? Like Rhode Island Reds lay brown eggs and Easter Eggers can lay brown, green, blue or even kind of pink :P I would REALLY love to see that kind of realism in the game!!! Anxiously awaiting Chicken Pack 2! And more if you make them!!!!
