Plans for May 19-24
🕑 Added 2024-05-17 22:17:58 +0000 UTCIt has begun! I'm stoked to get the first chapters of The Fusionist book 6 written, and I'm hoping to get some more done next week. Ideally, my goal for being finished with the book is the end of June, though if it's done before that I'm not going to complain :)
Next week, I'll be working on finalizing Unprepared Healer after my beta-reader feedback on Sunday, upload the manuscript to KDP, and send it to Miles so he can start recording. If you haven't heard, due to feedback on the first audiobook, he has re-recorded the entire thing to drastically change the tone, create a different voice for the notifications, and separate out some of the larger stat portions into their own chapters. We're hoping that it will be back from his editor next week so we can get it updated. He'll be carrying over these important changes to the 2nd audiobook, which will hopefully please listeners.
I'll also be finalizing the majority of Martial TransFusion for beta-readers on Sunday. Why so late for betas? Mainly because I like to wait for a little more feedback from those reading on Royal Road, and because I wanted to concentrate on Unprepared Healer before sending it out to betas so as not to be distracted with feedback. Now that I'm on book 6, I can better connect with what the betas tell me, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem.
Next week is also the last week of my daughter's 4th grade year, so there may be some interruptions in my writing as I'll probably be attending a field day and end-of-year school party, so I'm thinking that I may only have between 6 and 8 chapters instead of the 10 it normally would be.
Here are my plans for next week:
Sunday: Finalizing Unprepared Healer for publication and audiobook recording; Martial TransFusion finalization for beta-readers
Monday: Finish up anything from Sunday's work/writing book 6
Tuesday: Some writing/daughter's field day
Wednesday: End-of-year school party? I think? I have to double check/writing
Thursday: Last day of her school year, so I'll likely be taking off early/writing
Friday: Writing
