Just delightful. I love listening to these rambles! I'm still waiting to see a "ramble" notification... well, I've only been here for 3 months. I'll be patient. π Yes, as an actress, I'm great with most accents, but I never, ever could get that fantastic Irish one right!
Sweet π
LYA
idky but listening to him ramble while doing my assignments just make me work 2x faster. my brain did not process anything he said tho
I had a lovely boyfriend from Donegal who, when he got drunk, his accent went somewhere mad and even his brothers couldnβt understand him. I just nodded a lot and he thought I was wonderful because I agreed with him so much π
I love your rambles. Great to hear you laugh and a good story. I could listen to them all night. This one made me want to give you a hug. You're so sweet. I don't use Twitter, but I've been limiting my Facebook use because it has become so toxic it's literally making me sick some days. I hope you are have a fantastic day! π
Ohh G honey, πππ,you do a heart good ππ§Έ
Just watched Gangs of New York the other night and Cameron Diazβs Irish accent in that movie is atrocious π¬ love your wee rambling videos, itβs cool to hear you just chill and hear a bit of your cute personality π
CP
omg I absolutely LOVE these banters. Getting to "see" your personality is so endearing βΊοΈβΊοΈ

I love the rambling. It's like hanging out with a friend a little longer until the weather lets up so you can go home. I've been on a Twitter diet for about a year now. The older I get the harder it is for me to make internet friends. I was trying too hard to connect with people that weren't trying back, and outside the friend list was even more depressing so I went cold turkey. Now I just check it when there's news or something. The whole experience made me gun shy π But my battery lasts longer.
I love your ramble Gael β€οΈπβ€οΈπ
πππ
Missed you! I hope you had a lovely birthday Kristen. πππ
Been away from the site for almost a week and came back to some birthday goodies!! πππ A peaceful piece, a ramble and now I'm just waiting on some passionate sex and I'm all set. Talk about a birthday trifecta......ππππ I've loved your rambles since Day 1 because it's you. No script, pure energy. At first I couldn't tell if that sound was a storm or you were at the beach. It sounded like heavy waves but then I could also hear the wind. Glad you guys are ok and came through unscathed. And I love that you have a 50 something year old neighbor playing games. ππ Love it. Hearing you talk about Twitter makes me miss it. I made a promise to myself in January that I was putting my phone down and using it for emergencies only. No social media. And I've done it. Yay!! But I do miss the banter with everyone. I just don't have time right now. I try to check in with everyone here on your site, as it's MUCH more private than Twitter, and Instagram. Both of these I check in on my laptop. It works out better in the end anyway as I hate the Patreon app on my phone. But maybe I need to make a night for Twitter again on the laptop........π€ If there were a scale, one side would have a Twitter night and the other would have more reading. I have to admit, when I'm reading a great series, the books will win every single time. Hands down. πππ
Waiting on the Instagram clip. πππ
Welcome Amanda!! Looking forward to getting to know you! πππ
Sending you healing vibes Heidi!! ππππππΉ
I got a new ukulele today and this ramble made me go in search of Leonard Cohen tabs. Sheβs been christened with Hallelujah. Thanks for reminding me of his genius.
On the back of a shark! π
Gael getting lost on a tangent while telling a story π βHow did I get here?β ππππππ 100% relatable!
Betsy β
Useless info.? No way! I'm here for the recipes, that celery π cucumber juice sounds delicious π
Such a joyful ramble....enjoyed every minute! Listened and drove all the way to work with a big goofy grin on my face because I so enjoyed the laughter, jokes and insights into Gael. Absolutely loved this. π
Iβm new here (hi everyone!) and Gael, I loved this ramble, you absolute nutter! π I was listening while cooking dinner (tofu!) and you gave me a right old laugh, so thank you ππ» Btw - Far and Away was one of my fave movies as a kid! #noshame π€£ I grew up in Australia, so the Irish scenery was so captivating and different. Fave scene = βPlunge and scrub!β (Or βploooonge and scrobbbbβ).
I absolutely love this!!! For one, I'm so glad there's more of us ramblers out there! I have 1 friend I can talk about anything and quickly change subjects but keep going. It's a talent! Lol! Anyway, this is a mood booster like someone said. When someone is happy It's very contagious. And I can't lie, when someone snorts while laughing that's a fantastic thing! I love the genuine laughing. It's like a safety net to bust out laughing too. Even if you have no clue what's so funny.
I adore this lol you just talking about anything and everything. It's an instant positive mood booster. Also, the storm in the background sounds nice ^_^
Nia
I love listening to you banter, G βΊοΈ itβs like catching up with an old friend
Tamikillion .
I feel like Iβm on an acid trip while listening to this ramble, I canβt keep up!
Oh one more thing, bai. Wilson was a volleyball, not a football π΄ππ
I enjoy the rambles so much. They always make me smile, and Iβve not been feeling like myself at all this week. π¦, we do have Runaway Knock in the U.S. , but we call it Ding-Dong Ditch ππ
Ashlee Kranz
Oh gawd I canβt begin to keep up with that fats of Irish talking like the cab driver! Iβd be like βWHOA WHOA WHOA! Slow down sparky, youβre living la viva loca!β
Ah I miss these! Thanks
I just wanted to say ..Thank you 2 all for your kind words when I shared about the loss of my Uncle. Iβm Still grieving.. not sleeping very well and itβs been a struggle to find my smile but this ramble helped to find a few .. so thank you π Sending MUCHβ₯οΈLove and Light to Emma and her family ππ«π
I love love love your truly rambly rambles, Your laugh is contagious, and I love your bad jokes, I love how you kept getting back to the shark, though at the end you rightfully blamed Mr Cruise. I have never actually watched Far and Away, I've tried, but never it never grabbed me, I've seen bits of it, but now I'm curious cause of his bad accent. Its interesting, a year ago I was really struggling trying to figure out what you would say, now rarely do I have an issue, a week or so ago we managed to watch The Young Offenders, no problems with the accent now. If it wasn't for this "non-comminuty" I wouldn't be on twitter, I joined years ago, but up until November of last year, I rarely came on, cause it was so toxic, I had my FB with my family and old friends, and I managed to stumble upon a nice non toxic bubble of awesomeness, folks I consider family, sisters literally all over the world, so thank you for doing what you do and the people who gather around you to make a safe place, I have grown so much in my year here, I am not the same person, and that is a very good thing, so thank you sir, I know I've done the work, but you and this place have helped me find the tools. I would very much love a ramble of your reactions when we break twitter, and if at all possible, we kinda need a shout out ramble too, but that might not work anymore, so just a thought, since I managed to just miss the last one. Thank you for all you do, giant atomic heart bear hugs to you, and a smooch on the nose.
That was an entertaining and upbeat way to unwind at the end an intensely busy crazy week. Your rambles are adorable and such fun to listen to. ππ Good luck with your project, whatever it is. Am appreciating how your comfort and particularly the mediation audios have levelled up.π€© Have a wonderful weekend ahead.
Iβm a California born and bred valley girl and you still say βlikeβ more than me. π€£ Youβre adorable.
This was such a fun catch-up kind of a post! Chats with loops and tangents are the best. I may be projecting my baggage here though; Iβve been told my story-telling is like going to Wisconsin (about an hour from where Iβm at in Chicago)...by way of Russia. Well damn, we still end up getting there and itβs a lot more entertaining! Re: sharks. Youβre correct, generally speaking they donβt like to dine on humans. Most βattacksβ (I use the quotes b/c as far as the shark is concerned theyβre just eating...itβs like when you see a description of βshark infested waters;β uh no, thatβs just where they live. Tangent. Sorry) are a case of mistaken identity. As in, from below a person in the water they look very seal-like. One or two strikes and then they usually leave. Like when you bite into a banana thatβs not quite ripe but still go for a second bite because maybe it was just that one section...nope, still gross.
About βA Thousand Kisses Deepβ, me too AlastrΓona, like just in the past month and I keep revisiting it!! Itβs such a poetic masterpiece and Gβs reading of it is lovely ππΌπ―
It's called a Horah π€ and I pronounce gif like the g in Mo GhrΓ‘ π Accents are funny. One of my more quirky comorbids is Echolalia. I repeat words and sounds, but I also pick up accents and intonations. I once stayed with an English friend for a week, and I managed to confuse many people π But thanks a million for your lovely ramble. I have no trouble following and understanding you and youβre right.. we can listen to you ramble for hours. And about Leonard Cohen.. I only recently discovered your interpretation of A Thousand Kisses Deep π₯° π
Cillian Murphy πππ That reminds me, I need to get caught up on The Peaky Blinders.
I love all the rambles I like just listening to you talk youβre fascinating and funny
Kathy Mc
You are such a treasure, Gael! I loved the rain and wind, even though it could have been bad, but nothing makes me happier than your laugh and smile in your voice! I'm so glad I found you and all the Lovlies here too! The love and support that pours out of them and you is really beautiful. Life is too short. Let's spend it together making it better!πππππππππ²π²π²
Ahh the cold beaches π±π¬βοΈ tragic that something so beautiful could be so brutal too. Nature can be cruel that way. The beaches on the Southeast US coast are pretty warm and swimmable, I guess I took it for granted. And the Irish accent is def hard for foreign actors to pull off. What about Daniel Day Lewisβ accent in βThe Name of the Fatherβ tho?! I would say thatβs up there as one of the best, but then again heβs also prob the best actor out there. Iβm thinking the reverse is easier, Irish people pulling off good American accents. Also, I embarrassingly just now realized Cillian Murphy is Irish and I shouldβve realized by the name, but Iβm just so used to hearing his American accent. And I just looked it up, heβs from Cork! Seems like lots of Irish people can pull of a flawless American accent, at least the actors! I think we need a revisit of your Southern accent. I heard it in one of your old rambles and laughed so hard, what a valiant effort! π π It can be super tricky tho to be fair π€π Aww and yes please a twitter ramble would be amazing. I really laugh at all the gifs and banter too. Iβm smiling at my phone lots these days thanks to yβall π€π§‘ the memes have had me πππ the Lovelies are so talented in many ways and itβs such a joy to feel the support and love! Thanks for keeping us updated and hope the storm doesnβt get too bad! Stay safe!
Thank you :)
I already said this before but Imma say it again, your ramble never failed to put a smile on my face and I could say that this helps me to stay awake while doing some work early in the morning. Sissy caught me smiling like a cheshire cat on my room and thinks I'm crazy but who cares? ππ I agree that your topic is all over the place but that's makes you...you right? Looking forward for more ramble in the future~ Thank you! π₯°β₯οΈ
I second that. ^
Thanks for sharing your concert memory - dude, drop in on our convos!
A Rambleeeeee, yay! I have work now so Imma join this banter later, but pretty sure this is going to light up my day! π€
Gael your laugh, makes me feel better each day. Whatever you come up with don't forget these rambles, and the best Alpha man who always says the right thing in the after glow. Your the best and Thank you for sharing your life with all of us. Thanks to you I found Heritage Green and i love some of the music, Baz makes me smile, it must be that sexy Irish voice but you are the King of Ireland of Sexy Irish voices! Stay Safe Handsome!
Ludmilita
The wind in Dublin is unbelievable! Your banter is making my day better!
Thank you for giving all these smiles I got during this ramble! β₯β₯β₯ I've been a bit down since Sunday, so I really needed this uplift. We repaired the hiking trail we have here (I tweeted pics with the gaelcanagh hashtag π) Anyway, while walking there I twisted my foot and now it's been sore and swollen..πΏπΏπ It's a bit better, but still swollen.. Your stories are the best! β₯β₯ And I love hearing how you're doing, the man behind the voice, just like you care about us, I care about you and have you in my thoughts wishing you all good. β₯π€
I think I always like your rambles best because they're pieces of you. Giving us brief little glimpses of the man behind everything. And he's just simply charming and adorable π Can I just... keep you... tucked away and safe here inside my pocket... please...
You said βhard G.β π€£ Iβll see myself out. β€οΈ
You spoil us! I avoided Twitter for so long because it is a cess pool, depending on where you hang out. Our corner is amazing. I know I can drop into my group chat at any time and one of the girls will answer and talk me through whatever, and vice versa. I found my people here in this βnot community.β Did you listen to the Staceyβs podcast because we so totally JUST had this conversation about finding our friends here because we like the same stuff. Youβre blowing my mind here. On the door game, over here we call it βding dong ditchβ or in Philly we called it βknock knock zoom zoom.β Thank you for every single thing you do for us. Truly. π
^^^^This! IT guru husband and game design daughter concur.
Jen Ohh
It's Jif, like the peanut butter brand π
Calypso
Ha. "Run away knock" is every where. Except we called it "ding dong ditch" when I was growing up.
Calypso
I'm in California too. It really is miserable... I'd love for us to get some rain. Lol
Hard A Sorta like Boston
Yeah, I hear it! That wind is howling! I'm so glad you're ok despite braving the storm to help your neighbor. I said it once, I'll say it again. If you're Batman, you can tell me!π¦ΉββοΈπ C'mere and whisper it quietly to me. I won't tell anyone.β€ Your Tom Cruise impression, lmao!ππ€£ Also, It sounds like your celery is crying out to be stuffed with peanut butter. Yummy!π More mystery surrounding this new audio! I am so intrigued.π€ Please allow me a moment to shed a tear for that lost moaning audio, because if you say it was good, I know it must have been GOLDEN! Darnit. :'(π₯β€ Btw, although I've heard the so-called experts say definitively that it is pronounced Jif like the peanut butter, I say Gif, with a hard G. I don't even care. I'm a rebel like that.ππ I'm so pleased that you have fun and laughter with our gifs and banter, it is so much fun for me as well, and a real bright spot.πβ€ I've come to realize that no place on the internet is like Gaelandia, and that's down to you being someone so wonderful and attracting the same to yourself.π€β€ This is truly the best little corner of the internet. Love you, Mr. Never-Could-Be-Charles Manson-Even-In-A-Billion-Lifetimes Mayor. Muah!π€πβ€
The way you pronounced the letter "a" when spelling Tramore. I had no idea!
Nothing to how happy we are to be here, G! You are very modest, but you have fostered all of this by who you are and what you do. At 49, I have the first tribe of my life. Much love!π
Calypso
That's on my to-do list too!
Wish I could travel to Ireland and just sit at pubs all over the country and listen to the people talk. Maybe next summer, hopefully when things have settled down a bit.
It had no name lol! It was just a high enerdree piece, i mean high. The concert was in Kilmainham You may see it on YouTube You may even see the tree π
This ramble cheered me up! Just what I needed today! π€ needed a good laugh. Hearing you talking about the bantz and the support in the community makes my heart warm! I love this community so much! I finally found my place that I fit in π Prayers to Emma ππ»
Tracey
Aww love and enjoy listening to all your rambles,π This one was very sweet, lovely , funny and heartwarming too β€π€π especially when you mentioned Emma bless her... I'm sure she and her family are all in our thoughts
So was it at Marlay Park or not? ππ And you didn't finish the part bout the "best audio ever" you recorded couple of years ago but you forgot to hit record button. So what happened after that? What was the name of the audio?
You perfectly described why I love going to concerts so much. There is nothing better then being unified through music and leaving a show feeling like your batteries have been recharged.
Tyler
Omg, that storm sounded so lovely. I'm in California and we are currently in a heatwave and we have wildfires too. Its brutal, but staying inside isnt so bad, especially when I get to listen to you ramble about random things...lol. Much love!!! πβ€β€β€
Yes!β€οΈβ€οΈ
I was just thinking earlier today that I would love to hear a new ramble. Once again -- you deliver! Love your twisty windy bantery random mind. It brings me complete joy! π€π
I'm so excited to hear you read and react to Twitter comments! We were gonna request that but again, you're always a step ahead π and of course the new project is very intriguing!!
Looking forward to the new project.
I need to be out looking for a lost community cat at 6am, on a holiday, and I couldn't fall asleep knowing I have to be up early π Thank you for keeping me company while I sip my coffee and try not to choke laughing. Your joy and laughter are infectious π€£
Vicki
Yay! Yes, I needed some ramble today and I'll take notes for all the places you recommended. I've been planning an Ireland trip for ages but it'll be a while still!
Yay! I love your rambles!
Love to Sweetie! πππ₯β₯π€π€π€
Always a pleasure to just float along your "stream of consciousness". π The rambles always give me the laughs! π§‘
That's so great! All heat here in Tucson AZ ;D lol Love the ramble! I was planning on visiting Ireland this year although got pushed to next year. November 2021 if all goes well!
Yahooooo!!! Itβs been a while fella!!! Love ALL yer rambles including this one that Imma bout to listen π₯°ππ
You're voice makes me giggle, even when you were just explaining how to spell a word... what no I'm not obsessed π
Needed some irish banter in my life todayπ
What a pleasant surprise.
Why yes I'd love to βΊ
Laura Gahan
My idiot brother was on tramore prom π
Lovely photo you used. I wonder what it's like to walk along the shore.. It was funny and then suddenly it got really deep. π I agree, your thoughts are kinda all over the place, but I'm sure you're not alone. Who are we to judge? Anyway, did you say Charles Manson? He's scary.
Blow us away! π
Calypso
Yes. Yes, I do wanna...
Catherine
Rambling Man!
