🕑 Added 2022-12-16 08:00:03 +0000 UTCMan, I have completely lost sense of time... I both can't believe it was ALREADY and ONLY 10 days ago when I lost my account. Meanwhile I think I'm almost fully back up to speed, re-installed an updated version of my video editor which actually fixes a fair few annoyances in the previous version I used... and while ultimately this very episode was delayed by a week, I didn't even miss a week of publishing on youtube thanks to the fortunately timed side project. Now, I don't really want to keep looking back on the negative too much, so let's look forward!
The main series is slowly drawing to a close, which means it's time to prepare ideas for something new! There are a few projects lined up:
- My original idea is this playthrough, which I published before on Patreon a while ago: https://youtu.be/5ByJEMYVkd4
- Rampant blind run on Pure DeathWorld settings with Rampant's own enemies. This series is a logical next "side-project", aka less edited and more "realtime experiences"/surprises and genuine reactions and probably deaths (so more suitable for edited streamlike format instead of my main series' format).
- Space exploration. Everyone is doing it at the moment. Zisteau. Dosh. Laurence. Man, even Martincitopants published his second part after more than a year lol. Still, it's a very cool mod... But given how long THIS series is taking me already (more than half a year since the first ep!!!), I will have to find a new, more compact way of filming/editing or it will be a life sentence lol!
- 100x science costs on default settings. Not sure how I feel about this anymore, not many new concepts to go over after this main series and side project, it may be too much like watching paint dry
- A series on how to plan for, and execute building a 10k SPM base (with biters, though not focussed on it)
- Any other ideas are welcome, both for short and long playthroughs
Rampant may start sooner that you think. I'm thinking about streaming the rest of my current "100% evolution start" side project, up to the rocket launch at least. Not sure the sub 15h achievement is possible with all the other restrictions, but I think there's a chance we could get it. The first stream may be this weekend. IF so, I'll post another message here, on discord, and I'll schedule the stream on youtube before it begins.

I’ve built a 10K spm base but the purple science is killing me. Also the train network is congested. And it’s such a ups killer that a i9-13900 is brought down on its knees. I must admit it’s a spaghetti base, but rest assured I would be so interested in a 10K science base. It’s a challenge on its own right but it would be interesting if it can also be a Greta Thunberg - approved base emitting as little pollution as possible. Also, for me biters are always essential, play troughs without enemies feels like cheating and it just isn’t interesting to me personally.

Looks like Rampant DeathWorld for lightly edited liveplay-ish side-project, and surprisingly the 10k SPM for main project are in the lead (I'll do a proper poll for the main project once I'm ready to start filming). I do agree it may be good to take a breather from a mostly (vanilla-)biter-focussed game, especially since the "pacifist run with immortal biter bases+worms" will have a lot of similarities in the opening strategy with both my current projects actually. I won't spoil too much since I do plan on doing it maybe as the "next+1" main series".
