Anyway. Great episode!! This is probably my favorite episode of HvV outside of the premiere, it was so fun. It was cool to finally see some of the other Villains shine now that the Rob vs Russell saga was over

The way I always interpreted the Villains thinking they were merging is that Russell told them they merged at 12 in Samoa (which he definitely didn’t know was the first time they ever did that). The Heroes didn’t anticipate it because why would they? They never merged with more than 10 people left in the game prior to this. All Stars, Cook Islands, and Micronesia had all merged at Day 22 or later so it’s not like merging later than Day 19 was unprecedented
