Pirate Ship: Upper Hold
🕑 Added 2016-11-29 18:53:37 +0000 UTC This is installment 3 of the pirate ship. This week we release the upper hold of the pirate ship, where you’ll find the galley and cargo areas. Your players will no doubt spend a lot of time skulking about here looking for treasure and beating the XP out of things.While designed for our Skull and Shackles Skull and Shackles campaign, this ship should be suitable for any pillaging your group wants to partake in. This particular ship is inspired by The Wormwood, the primary craft in Skull and Shackles.
We re-created the entire pirate ship, changing things here and there to create something that works in 3 dimensions. To get the exterior of the ship to have all the right curves, we had to think like ship builders, and work from the bones on out. Pictured here is our third release, the lower hold (where the crew sleeps). We printed this in wood filament to achieve a more realistic look and feel, and it was worth it.
Given the design’s complexity, we’ll be releasing the ship in installments, probably every two weeks.

Next boat I'm going to make them separate pieces that can be glued on (I can probably go back and do that to this boat as well).
