Being gay in Soccer is a big big BIG fucking nono. I am european and I love the sport, but the hardcore fans and pundits and media coverage? Absolute fucking scum. Any soccer player that ever came out did so AFTER their career ended, because it would've ended as soon as they come out. It's horrendous. And people are fine with it. Look at international soccer, completely fine bowing down to Quatar and Saudi assholes because of money. Don't look for inspiration or backbone in the sport, you won't find it.

yeah nate and jade make zero sense yet another thing i really didn't like about season 3 that and fuck michelle and dr. jacob that is so unethical esp since he was her therapist first and then became their couple's counslor he was never inpartial

As someone who works in a mental health treatment environment, the Dr. Jacob storyline is the only one I truly dislike in Ted Lasso. I’m not even a therapist but I would lose my job and my certification if I were to have a relationship or friendship with a former patient—ever. Every member of our staff who knows any of the patients or interacts with them would be fired immediately. We have mandatory trainings multiple times a year to remind us of this. The power dynamic is just way too skewed to EVER be an ethical relationship. And for a marriage therapist to counsel a couple after seeing half individually is already a no-no, but then basically manipulate a couple to divorce (remember, their therapist suggested he give Michelle space) is so many layers of messed up. In reality, Ted should 100% report Dr. Jacob and he should lose his therapist license. It kinda makes me crazy how the rest of the characters act like Ted is too caught up on this. It’s a huge violation.

As you mentioned in the intro maybe wanting some background: Zava is strongly believed to be based on a footballer by the name of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Also Roy Kent is also believed to be based on another football legend named Roy Keane. Enjoy the reactions as always man ✌🏻
