"You can still catch one without having sex" Do you mean things like needle sharing, or do you just have a more selective definition of sex? Because it is impossible to get an STD without sexual contact or something like needle sharing/being born with it. I've always considered any amount of sexual contact to be sex, and never really understood why people tried to rationalize some forms as not being "real" sex. And as someone who used to be super sexually repressed, Annie's comment is 100% true. If everyone was sexually repressed the way I was, then people wouldn't get STDs because no one would ever have any sexual contact. Not saying that's healthy or good, there's a reason I'm not sexually repressed like that anymore. But it is true that if more people were less comfortable with sex, people wouldn't have it as much and STDs wouldn't be as big of an issue.
