'Canals' - Kindred South Cover
🕑 Added 2021-11-14 21:23:51 +0000 UTCThe underground Canals in Arbordale were something I really wanted to illustrate for Kindred-South. This image proved deeply challenging and I still don't know how I feel about it, but I've decided at this point I have to call it finished. Folks on the stream seemed to like it, so please, give me your opinion!
Akachi making his full-color debut in this one <3 Also I love low res Grayson, for some reason.

Rukis
He's a cameo character in this book, so he isn't my character to write a backstory for. That being said, he's part of the canon now, so he'll likely pop up later in the comic as well : )

Will we ever get the back story or follow on stories for Akachi? So much mystery around his character!

Tuli looks soooo good in this.

Honestly, this piece still came out great, certainly worthy for Kindred South's release. Wonderful work, Rukis, worth being proud of.

Love Grayson's face. Such a handsome good boi.
Rukis
He's on the back of the cover ; )

Seriously though, this is beautiful. I do love the contrast between the two covers. One has Finn in the front in Tuli's world, while this has Tuli in the front in Finn's world. A nice contrast! <3

"No, we have Grayson at home" *Zoom in on low-res Greyson*

I like the idea of book titles in general and the way they contrast with each other in colors. A great cover for my taste. But Finn is still missing (I know, I know).

WOW...you are actually make me want to watch Pirates of the Caribbean again. even not much of a fan since Depp. anyway. the art is a GREAT WORK, you feel the characters' feelings, you make me wonder if they fur are moving or still because of the stress they are going through. the expressions and the background are BOTH GREAT!

I love it! Particularly love Akachi, and Tuli’s fur looks so soft! The composition is great. Can’t wait to get the physical book :D
