Skin Details: Vascularity Overlays
🕑 Added 2024-08-28 22:16:54 +0000 UTCThis is a set of overlays that add vein detail to your sims' bodies. The vascularity overlays feature hand-painted veins based on the actual vascular structure of the human body, and add that extra bit of detail to your sims' physique!
The overlays are available in four coverage levels:
Level 1: Covers the shoulders, arms, chest, groin, legs and feet
Level 2: Covers the shoulders, arms, groin, legs and feet
Level 3: Covers the shoulders and groin with faint detail on the arms and feet
Level 4: Covers the forearms and calves
Each level is available in a light, medium and heavy strength for mixing-and-matching with a variety of sim skintones, for a total of twelve swatches.
The overlays can be found in the Body > Scars section of CAS. They're not really scars, but I wanted to make sure they were compatible with my existing details/overlays, which already use the Skin Details slots. The overlays were designed with my default replacement skins, but should work with other creators' skins (provided those skins are set up in the same format as the official Maxis skins).
All twelve swatches appear under one CAS catalogue entry. The overlays are available for male and female sims of either frame.

metoidioplasty is performed as commonly as phalloplasty for ftm/ftx bottom surgery :) looking forward to seeing whatever you create in the future!

Honestly even if we get one genital for each type of surgery, I'd be happy :D I think it's such a rare thing that's touched on within the NSFW Sims community and you have the best looking chests and genitals for Maxis Match Sims out here. I'd definitely weigh in when you make that post!

Yeah, even at their most muscular (where you'd see this kind of vascularity) official sims aren't really as muscled/detailed as the kinds of muscles you see in real life. Might be another skin detail for me to make/add 😄

I hadn't heard of a metoidioplasty before, but if I can satisfactorily make other options (like phalloplasty) this is something I'm also open to making.

I've been asked about this before! It's something I am considering, yes, although the biggest barrier is in determining some of the "style" choices - for example, there are a bunch of penises in my 2.0 version, but I probably wouldn't make that many phalloplasty versions. Also some questions about exactly what people would want out of this, but I'm going to put up a post about this soon to get more feedback. I hope you'll weigh in on that!

a Interesting idea certainly, I feel this would go well with Non Maxis skins (personally I think Maxis skins are a bit too "Soft", for most of the options except the last one, but other skins could go well), that is only my opinion though

Oh these are fantastic! Will definitely be using these to show off more musculature on my buffer Sims! Have you ever considered doing anything with phalloplasty/vaginoplasty? It'd be awesome to have scars or even genitals for trans Sims who underwent gender-affirming care
