SimpleGens 2.0: Updated Beta
🕑 Added 2023-10-26 15:07:54 +0000 UTCThis is an updated version of my SimpleGens 2.0 beta file, available to my higher tier patrons. Sorry, I really wanted to have this ready to share sooner but I kept finding things that needed to be changed or fixed!
WHAT'S NEW/DIFFERENT:
1) Introduces the new retracted penis shape, in both soft and hard options.
2) Adds low scrotum options for all penis shapes/sizes. Includes texture and mesh updates to add wrinkles and give more of a "hanging" appearance.
3) Alters the appearance of large penises to make them less 'pinched' at the penis base.
4) Updates weights of the low scrotum to improve appearance of the testicles in poses/motion.
5) Updates color overlays to work with all penis designs.
For technical reasons, this update to the penis beta is a standalone - it will not overwrite the version that I published in April. I strongly recommend deleting the April files, which have 'beta1' in their titles. The optional skin textures/tones are the same and can be kept.
I've kept the streamlined CAS categorization from the earlier beta, but made a few changes. All penis options are currently grouped under four icons, based on flaccidity/scrotum: Soft High, Hard High, Soft Low, Hard Low. For example, if you want to check out a soft large circumcised penis with low scrotum, you would find it under the third entry in CAS (Soft Low).
WHAT'S NEXT:
I'm pretty pleased with the penises. Barring any major feedback, they're close to complete. Next up is some housekeeping - icons, lower LODs, and condom compatibility.
The beta includes three sizes: small, medium, large. I know I'll be asked for smaller/larger penises, but I will NOT be launching with any other sizes. I like penises as much as the next simmer, but I really want to get SimplePenis 2.0 out of beta, and then finish updates to other anatomy: breasts, vagina, female penis, unique penis designs (new and conversions of older designs).
I previously posted about potential updates to the penises/SimMotion. At this point in time, with everything going on with my mental health and my dog, I'm going to put that update on the backburner. I've been thinking about doing away with SimMotion entirely, because I can't make the animations look the way I want and that's not likely to ever change. For the time being, though, I've kept the soft penises weighted to allow them to work with the current version of SimMotion.
INSTALLATION NOTES:
I've separated the files: one zip contains the penis and color overlays, another contains my optional skin textures/skintones. The penises were designed to work with my skin textures, but should also work with other Maxis/CC skins.
I think that's about it - I feel like I'm forgetting a bunch of things, and I'll probably remember them after I've posted lol. But that's what post updates are for! 😉

Hey! Just to check, are you asking for in Live mode or CAS? (Live mode is something you'd set in WW if you're using that). This beta doesn't include a CAS default yet, but if that's what you're looking for, yes, I can make that an optional default file for your use. Let me know!

Sorry for the late reply! Believe me, I love the idea of SimMotion and would love for it to be everything I want. It's just not possible to get the animations to match the quality I really want with the limitations I'm working with. Still thinking about what I want to do. The currently existing SimMotion mod will work with these beta penises, and should work going forward unless I change the penises themselves. Right now, I don't think there's a reason that should change, but if it ever becomes an issue, I'll definitely let people know.

May i ask to get a large circumcised penis with low scrotum as a default for all my men (unrealistic wish in RL, i know)?

Aw man sim motion is my favorite, will the current version still work with new penises or at least the ones they currently work on in future versions of simple penis mod?
