Although I tested the mod to check that I had fixed the error messages and that piercings were showing up for both older SimpleGens and the new SimplePenis 2.0 models, it seems my testing wasn't rigorous enough. Unfortunately there appear to be issues causing piercings to just disappear at random times, such as when sims are changing clothes or when loading a lot. I don't believe this is how the mod operated when I first launched it, but I can't pin down exactly when this became an issue.
I don't know the exact cause of the problem. There's a possibility it's to do with the parts of the mod I created, but I haven't changed anything about those elements since the mod launched. There's also a possibility that it's due to the scripted part of the mod, but I didn't create the script and I can't just dig in and fix it if that is in fact the issue.
I'm really sorry to have to do this, but since I don't have an immediate fix for the problem, I'm going to remove the mod's download link until I can either find a solution or find an alternate method of pierced anatomy that shows up reliably.
SimplePiercings is a set of piercings that your sim can purchase, store in their inventory, and equip in Live Mode.
The piercings have been through a number of iterations, from CAS versions to the Live versions, and a number of different script updates. Thanks to help from TURBODRIVER, the current SimplePiercings mod is more resilient and less likely to break when WickedWhims is updated.
The current version of the mod includes piercings for a variety of my anatomy options. New piercing styles and expanded anatomy choices will be added in the future.
KEY FEATURES & DETAILS:
1) Available in 6 swatches: Silver, Gold, Blue, Bronze, Steel, Chrome
2) Compatible with multiple Simdulgence anatomy options, including SimpleBreasts, SimpleChests, SimplePenis 1.0 and SimplePenis 2.0
3) Allows for purchasing and equipping piercings in Live mode!
HOW TO USE SIMPLEPIERCINGS:
1) Search for the piercings in the Buy catalogue, either under "piercings" or "Simdulgence".
2) Purchase the piercing you want for your sim. It shows up as a piercing icon in the catalogue, and as a simple jewelry box in Live Mode.
3) Drag the box over your sim in Live Mode, or direct them to place it in their Inventory.
4) Click the piercing icon in your sim's Inventory OR click on the sim and choose "Wear Piercing". If you want to remove it, click the piercing icon OR on your sim and choose "Remove Piercing".
On occasion a piercing won't show up. Changing your sim's clothes, arousal state, or their chosen anatomy will usually force a refresh of their appearance and cause the piercing to show.
INSTALLATION NOTES:
Files included are separated by folder into required, recommended, and optional.
simdulgence_SimplePiercings (REQUIRED)
Contains all currently available piercing options.
simdulgence_SimplePiercings.ts4script (REQUIRED)
The scripted part of the mod, which is needed for the piercing system to function.
simdulgence_SimplePiercings_Data.json (REQUIRED)
A data file which allows the correct piercings to display on all compatible anatomy.
INSTALL ALL THREE FILES IN THE SAME LOCATION NO DEEPER THAN ONE FOLDER (eg /Mods/SimplePiercings is okay, but /Mods/Simdulgence/SimplePiercings is not). DO NOT CHANGE FILE NAMES OR YOU RISK BREAKING THE MOD.

Hey! I'm sorry about the delay in answering, Patreon only notified me of this comment today for some reason. I wish this would work, but if I added the piercings as accessories the game wouldn't recognize that they're only supposed to show on a naked body and your sims would have piercings clipping or floating in front of their clothing while they were dressed. I'm still looking at whether I can get it fixed and whether there's any other kind of interim measure I could take while I'm investigating, though!

They showed up for me, but only after I changed the sim's anatomy. For example, putting on the piercing, changing the selected chest/breasts, and changing it back caused the piercings to show up on the nipples. And then they went away as soon as the sim put on clothes and stripped again, which is not how they should behave. They should be there at all times when a sim is naked.

Hm, I can see the piercings on nipples - both male and female - but there seem to be some other issues that are causing piercings to just not show up at random times, so perhaps you're experiencing that? I'm sorry that it's not working properly at the moment. I've pulled the mod down until I can fix it, if that's possible.

I’ve experienced this as well, and I’ll say that this updated piercing mod still does it, but it’s not as bad. Basically, when a sim gets naked or takes off their shirt or something, it’ll take a while for the piercings to show up. It kinda happens randomly or when the sims have sex. With the update, the delay before they show up is much shorter. Hope this helps a little

Ooh - I don't think that's an error I've seen occur in my game, so it's not something I've specifically tried to fix. Apologies if this is something you've already asked me about fixing! I'll do some testing in my game to see if I can reproduce the issue and pin down anything on my side that may be causing this kind of error. But the script was created by TURBODRIVER to work alongside WW specifically, so I would expect that side of it to be fairly error-free. If it's not something I can fix on my end, it may just be the way the mod works unfortunately. I'll take a look!
