WIP Playtesting: SimpleGens 2023

Now that's out of the way, let's move on to this post - the first early access/beta testing opportunity for higher tier patrons!
I did a poll last year about what people wanted me to make. I expected unique anatomy designs to top the list, but I was surprised to find more people voted for improvements/upgrades to existing anatomy. I wanted to change some stuff anyway, so I thought it was time to give the SimpleGens a proper update.
PLEASE BE AWARE: WIP content is incomplete. The content may change before final release, and there may be bugs/glitches/issues. Please only install this content if you're happy with this!
The majority of my content is visual, rather than script mods, so it's unlikely to cause any major bugs in your game. Felt like I needed a warning just in case!
This version of SimpleGens doesn't work with condoms or piercings, feminine-framed sims, or have custom CAS thumbnails YET.
I don't want to write paragraph after paragraph about the update - instead I'll simply say that I tried to improve various things about the penis, from the texture to the shape to where it sits on the body (while still trying to play nicely with sex animations). I urge you to take a look at the comparison screenshots I'm including to see some of the improvements for yourself!
Some corrections I do want to explicitly mention:
1) The old SimpleGens had a slightly larger butt. The problem with this is it causes clipping with some clothes, as seen in the screenshots. I've fixed this issue by making the butt a bit smaller.
2) Older versions of SimpleGens were UV-mapped in such a way that color overlays for the penis did not work correctly on all penises. For example, an overlay that colored the shaft looked incorrect on soft uncut penises. I've fixed this issue, by hopefully mapping textures in a way that means all color overlays work with all penises - cut, uncut, soft or hard, etc!
And a general overview of features:
- Currently available in three sizes: small, medium, large
- Improved realism of mesh shapes for penis and butt
- Cleaned up CAS by reducing number of individual entries
- Expanded color overlay options and moved them to the Body Skin Details category
- Added twelve new overlay colors, including some to match non-human skintones
- Made color overlays for shaft/testicles separate to glans color for better mix-and-match possibilities
Overall, I think the new 2023 SimplePenis is a lot nicer visually - more detailed, and more realistic. I hope that you enjoy using it on your sims!
NOTES
In CAS, penises are still found in the Underwear subcategory. They've been tidied up, so now all sizes of a penis style are available as "swatches" of one CAS item. For example, the soft uncut penis contains swatches for small soft uncut, medium soft uncut, and large soft uncut. I hope this system will greatly reduce CAS bloating.
Penises are available via the WW Body Selector as normal. They are listed as "SimplePenis" rather than "SimpleGens".
Currently, the new 2023 version is standalone - meaning it does not overwrite existing versions in your game or on your sims.
I hope that the 2023 version works well with a variety of custom skin textures, but it was designed for Maxis skins (and is previewed on this above). I've updated my default skin texture to smooth some of the over-the-top details on weight/muscle extremities (proper previews will probably be added to a future post about the default skin replacements).
The zip file contains FOUR files:
- The SimplePenis package
- Default skin replacements
- Skintone fixes (updated to remove a few seam issues)
- Color overlays
I think that's everything - may need to come back and edit this post in case I suddenly remember something else I needed to say.

Sorry, didn't receive a notification about this! To my knowledge, nothing about this version should cause any issues with butts/genitals/tongues. There *is* currently a game bug happening which causes some sim deformation - mostly in the face - which is tied to sliders in the thigh/butt region, but I haven't experienced any kind of body issues with the update or with these parts in my game. I'd recommend removing this mod, then checking to see if you're still experiencing an issue: - If you are, it's not a bug related to this mod. Might be related to the recent patch. - If the issue goes away, then it's related to this file and a few screenshots of the glitch would be a big help if possible (you can upload images to a host like imgbox.com and share here/in DM, or send pictures as attachments to my email - simdulgence@mail.com).

Do you know if concave butts and private parts and floating tounges are a result of the new update with this installed?

Hey, what kind of error are you experiencing exactly? Do you mean a problem with the color overlays, or a problem where the genitals are black and textureless? If it's the second, you need to have some kind of skintone fix installed in order to make sure the texture shows up for all skintones. There's a skintone package file included in the zip. If it's something else, let me know so I can try to figure out how to help.

Hi ! those simplepenis are awesome, but I have a problem with colors of penises testicles and glans ... did we have to remove any skin from simplegens ?

Thank you! There are still some tough days, but I'm honestly trying my best and doing better than I was when I originally went on hiatus. I'm glad you like the look of the new models - I do too! I've been asked by some other users about the retracted soft foreskin (to match the old RG style) so it's good to know that this is something people are interested in. If you're asking whether I've enabled it for random, I currently have not - but it's a good idea because it would allow for some more variety across sims you encounter in the world. There is one particular color overlay that may not look good on uncut penises, but no reason I couldn't disable that for random and still enable it for the other styles. Thanks for the idea!

I'm selfishly very glad that you're doing better and back to doing what you do! I hope things are going well for you. I really like the look of the new models, especially the new uncut model. It looks great! I'd love if you would make some more with retracted foreskins while soft, that's the main reason I still have the older realgens models in my game still. I'll also add myself to the list of people who prefers the look of the old testicles, though the new ones are still very nice!

Hi! They're in the body skin details section that was added with one of the recent patches. I thought body details was a great place to put them, since they're really details for the body - and frees up the facial detail spaces that were being used. The color overlays use the "stretch marks" slots. Hope this helps!

No, this works entirely on its own - you can keep and use RealGens/SimpleGens in your game and use this version.
