SEXUAL ANATOMY FOR SIMS
1) WHAT IS REALGENS? WHAT IS SIMPLEGENS?
RealGens is a family of anatomy mods (penises, vaginas, etc) I released a few years ago. SimpleGens is a more recent set of anatomy mods I released last year.
The SimpleGens mods continue to receive upgrades and updates. RealGens is deprecated and unsupported (outside of major necessary updates).
You CAN use both RealGens and SimpleGens in your game at the same time without conflict or errors. I recommend only using SimpleGens because it will be updated going forward.
2) WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE "SIMPLE" MODS?
There are four anatomy types - penis, vagina, chest, breast. The base file for each of these types includes:
- body parts
- a default CAS override
- color overlays
- texture overlays (for use with tanning or CC skins)
The SimplePenis zip file contains an optional "Skin Texture" add-on. It's my edited texture for your sim's groin/butt, to improve the appearance of the body when using CC skins or transparent clothing (like jockstraps or see-through underwear).
The SimplePenis zip file contains two other optional penis designs: a chastity cage and a penis that matches the WickedWhims default penis size.
The SimpleChest base file contains overrides that add 3D nipples to official Maxis clothing for male sims that shows the nipple area.
The SimpleChest and SimpleBreast zip files also contain separate, optional "No Texture" add-ons. These add-ons will remove my skin texture from these parts so you can have your sims tan properly, or use them with other CC skins.
All body part zip sets contain optional versions for the other gender (for example, the SimplePenis zip includes female penises).
3) HOW DO I USE SIMPLEGENS?
Add the downloaded files to your /Mods directory. Whatever content you install will show up in CAS and in the WickedWhims Body Selector list.
If you want to use my anatomy mods without using WickedWhims, you will need to make sure you have a modded rig file in your game that adds penis bones. I know some have been offered on LoversLab before, but there may also be others out there.
PLEASE NOTE: Body parts in CAS work like clothing. If you want your sim to have the selected body parts in Live Mode, you need to choose them via the WickedWhims Body Selector.
4) ARE THERE CUSTOM CONDOMS AVAILABLE?
Yes, bundled in the SimplePenis zip file. The condoms are backwards compatible, meaning the file works with SimpleGens AND RealGens.
5) MY SIM'S GENITALS ARE BLACK/TEXTURELESS. WHAT'S UP?
By default, the official sim skins are blank in the "overflow" part of the texture map where CC creators place body part textures.
Without edited skintone files, your sim's penis can show up as black and textureless. I offer a set of skintone edits, as do other CC creators. You will probably need at least one modded set of skintones to make sure genital textures show up correctly.
My skintone edits are in the "simdulgence_Skintones" zip.
6) ARE THERE CUSTOM SKIN TEXTURES AVAILABLE?
Yes, I have some basic default override skin textures available. These are edited versions of the official Maxis skins, because my content is as Maxis Match as I can make it.
My edited version tries to improve the texture in the groin/butt especially, to improve the overall look of your sim's body and genitals.
My skin texture overrides are in the "simdulgence_SkinDefaults" zip.
7) MY SIM'S GENDER/FRAME AREN'T THE SAME. WHAT NOW?
If your sim's gender and frame are different, using Simple body parts is a little different for you.
The game automatically alters clothing when it's placed on the 'opposite' gender, and technically that includes body parts. That automatic process distorts the body parts. To keep your sims looking their best, the general rule of thumb is to use anatomy which matches their frame.
For example - a male sim with a feminine frame looks best with a SimplePenisFemale.
There are a few exceptions to this rule (mostly to do with upper body parts). Guidance on which parts to use can be found in the chart at the top of this post.
To see the opposite anatomy for your sim in Live mode, you'll need my BodySelectorGenderUnlocks file, available as a separate zip file.
8) I DON'T WANT TO SEE ANATOMY IN CAS!
There are a lot of Simple body parts, and sometimes this can get overwhelming to look through amongst the clothing.
If you want to make body parts hidden in CAS, you can use my CASHider file to make those parts invisible. It can be found in its own zip file.
PIERCINGS FOR SEXUAL ANATOMY
The SimplePiercings mod adds piercings for your sim's private parts. The piercings are currently available for: penises, chests and breasts.
All Simple parts are compatible with piercings, as are the official default WickedWhims penis and breasts.
SimplePiercings are used in Live Mode: search for the piercings in the Buy Catalogue, purchase the piercing you want on your sim, add it to their inventory, and then choose to "Wear" or "Remove" the piercing. The piercing will show up when your sim is naked.
The SimplePiercings mod has THREE required files: a package, a ts4script, and a JSON file. All three files should be installed in the same location, no further than one folder deep in your /Mods location, and should not be renamed to avoid breaking the mod.
SIMMOTION OVERRIDES
SimMotion is a set of animation overrides. I've hand-edited a number of official animations from the game (things like walking, bathing, etc) to add movement to your sim's genitals - which are normally static outside of WW sex animations.
SimMotion is separated into downloads by DLC, so you can install only the overrides for packs you own.
BETTER BULGES
Better Bulges is a set of overrides that add a bulge to the front of your male sim's bottom clothing pieces.
Along with being Maxis Match, my content aims towards realism, so the bulges tend towards average sizes. This is also done to prevent a) bad texture stretching and b) bulges clipping top clothing such as shirts, jackets, etc.
There is a BetterBulges add-on which increases the size of some bulges, including a few of my own clothing items.

UPDATE 2022-07-22: Added the female Chastity Cage. Fixed an issue causing cage colors to show incorrectly on sims with opposing gender/frame.
UPDATE 2022-07-17: Added the Chastity Cages and WW-size match penises to the CAS Hider and Gender Unlock files.

When I check my sim in underwear there wasn't any bulges and I have the bulge mod installed, I removed the addon to see if that works.

Yes. Currently SimMotion is split into packages by DLC, so to see all of the SimMotion overrides you will need both files in your /Mods folder.
Do you need both files for SimMotion if you have Island Living?

Hi! If you have all of the DLC for the game, then you should keep all of the skintone replacement files. There are three: one for base game, one for Get to Work, and one for Island Living. To make sure the gens work with all those packs, make sure you have all of them in your /Mods folder. :)

I never had a problem with Luumia's skin and the real gens. Have just tried the simple gens and everything seems fine! BTW do the Simple Gen Exclusives replace Simple Gens or are they an add on to it (ie, can I use both)?

Hey! Thank you very much - glad you like it! I don't have any recommendations for other creators' CC skins, unfortunately, because I play a Maxis match game and use my own default skin overrides. But the SimpleGens suite of anatomy mods are designed to work with as many skins as possible. Default skin replacements are usually a safe bet, but you may encounter issues with skins that are added as "face details". That's not a hard and fast rule, just a general observation of mine. Whether you're using the game's default skins, my skin replacements, or another creator's skins, you should probably make sure to grab the Skintone zip in this post - it adds color to the game's skintones so genitals show up properly (rather than as a black square). I would expect you could probably use SimpleGens with Luumia's skin without much issue - just add them to your game and go! I've never used that skin package so I can't say with 100% certainty, but if his skins are set up similarly to the official skins, there shouldn't be much problem.

Hi! Thank you, I'm glad you're enjoying what I make! :) When you say "everyone", what exactly do you mean? The Simdulgence condoms are compatible with any Simdulgence penises, but won't show up on a sim who has another creator's penis equipped. There are no other restrictions on condom use in terms of gender or frame or anything. I've never had this kind of bug reported to me or experienced it myself. There's a chance something in the WW coding has changed how condoms work that is causing this issue, but it's hard to say for sure - I haven't played much with condoms since coming back from my hiatus last month. To check for conflicts, I'd first try removing all mods except for WW, and my penises/condoms. If the problem is still happening, then there's an issue with WW/my mods somewhere. If the problem goes away, then there's a mod conflict, which you can try to figure out using the 50/50 method (remove half your mods, check in game for the issue; repeat until you can narrow down which file is causing the problem). If the problem is happening with just WW/my mods installed, some more details would be helpful so I can try to recreate and test for myself: 1) What gender/frame is the sim? 2) What color condom is in the inventory? How many? 3) "When" does the sim get deleted, if you can tell? Do you see them suddenly disappear in Live mode, or are they just missing from your Manage Households screen? 4) Are any error reports being generated when the sim is deleted?

Hi! Huge fan of your work! Your mods are a game changer. QQ, do the Simdulgence condoms work for everyone? My game keeps deleting a sim that has them in his inventory and I'm wondering if there's a conflict somewhere. I'm not using the WW default replacement.

I've noticed this as well, they do sometimes randomly disappear and reappear. If you unequip and re-equip them, they reappear as well. It hasn't thrown any errors that I've noticed, though, so I've kept the mod. Edit: and for context, I typically use the Exclusive penises.

This is an EA bug. Skin details need to be applied in the everyday outfit category, first outfit only, or else they won’t stick.

Hello! I hope you're doing well! I'm not sure if I ran into a bug or if it's user error. I have all the updated simplegens installed. for some reason whenever I equip a skin tone overlay for any of the penises, the skin does not update when I go back into live mode. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks!

My CAS default should take precedence over the WW one as long as my files come first in your /Mods folder (the game reads files alphabetically in terms of priority). Three situations where you might experience an issue: 1) If you renamed files and my mods are alphabetically after WW. 2) You've placed my files in several levels of subfolders. I haven't tested this extensively, but it might be possible it's causing an issue reading the files in order. 3) You're on a Mac - I was recently informed that Macs read mod order back-to-front alphabetically so the game would be reading the WW files first and mine second. If any of those three situations are true for you, you might need to make some changes to filenames or folder structure to get it to work. If none of those situations is the case for you, though, something else is going on. Let me know!

Hey! If you're talking about selecting the penis in Live Mode, then you might need the Body Selector unlock file - I accidentally overlooked it when I created the post, but I've added it now. There's a bit of guidance on using it in the post, as well as a chart telling you which parts/package files you want to use. If it's still not working for you after that, let me know!

I might be doing something wrong then. I can't select the (soft) simplegens on a male sim with female frame. EDIT: Solved! The "GenderUnlock" did it.

Yeah, the male version of SimpleGens is not available for the feminine frame because it gets distorted by the game. The female version of SimpleGens is available for male sims with a feminine frame, and looks fine in my game when paired with either a) official female tops or b) my female SimpleChest standard. It looks like RealGens isn't disabled for male sims/feminine frames, but it has the distortion issues that I mentioned.

Think I may have discovered or come across some bug playing, was assigning SimpleGen for teen boy in sims 4 and started changing bottom when changing poses. Changed to RealGenPlus as problem went away. Thought maybe was problem with simplegen for males, but noticed looked like guy had feminine frame, so looked at character in CAS and he did. So think simplegen male version don't work properly with the feminine body frame in cas. Guess must be something in package thing since again Realgenplus didn't have any issues with feminine frame.

No, that's not how they should look. Have you installed the Skintone override that's in this post? That should fix the issue. If you still have the problem after that, let me know!

It's only in cas that there is no penis. No underwear but they basically have reverted back to barbie bodies below. I've had no issues with the v, as I've just downloaded it. I just wanted to be certain because I previously used cmar's default. Thank you for getting back to me!

Hey! My file contains a CAS default, so if Cmar's nude bottom is also set as a CAS default, then there will be a conflict there. Is it flagging in a mod detector or causing another kind of issue? Re: male sims, that's odd. With SimpleGens, there's a CAS default included so when you click to remove bottom clothing you should see a penis. Are they wearing the base game black underwear, or something else?

Hey! Yeah, that's the plan - I don't have concrete decisions made about styles yet, but it's something that can be added to the mod. As far as other locations, I'd definitely like to add some female bottom piercings. And I can make piercings in other places, eg you could have a piercing on another part of the penis and not just the glans. But the limitations of the mod mean you couldn't equip a Prince Albert and a guiche piercing at the same time. Does that make sense?

Just wondering if your simplegens vagina conflicts with cmar nude bottom default? Also, I just replaced the realgens for the simple gens. Now, my males are back to Ken (Barbie) bottoms in CAS... no penis there. Is that a normal thing with this one?

Thanks so much for the quick response. I remember you posting about this now. My issue was that I thought I was missing the armpit hair, but I just wasn't seeing it in CAS because of the CAS pose (arms down), but I found it. I also wanted to let you know that your body part mods are the best I've found and I appreciate that you work so hard to keep everything updated. I'm also really looking forward to the werewolf body parts mod release!

When that happens, I'll update my body hair and release it/add a zip to this post. In case it helps, the most recent body hair file is called "simdulgence_cas_ymTattoo_BodyHair". If you want to go over more specifics, we can, or you can wait for my updated files when they come out, whichever you'd prefer. :)
