Better Bulges V1: Skin-tight Swimwear
🕑 Added 2021-04-20 14:29:31 +0000 UTCI've always wanted sim clothing to better reflect anatomy. Clothing for male sims is really flat in the crotch, which Better Bulges aims to correct.
Better Bulges is a set of overrides for clothing meshes. It will add a bulge to every clothing item for male adults (where it makes sense to include one). The size and shape of the bulge will be determined by each item's looseness and material.
The overrides won't show a CC wrench icon on the files (I hate those wrenches anyway). If you're not sure whether the overrides are working in your game, just turn your sim to the side to check!
An important note: Better Bulges will impact female sims wearing masculine clothing. I'm not a fan of the game's gender auto-conversions so I never really use them, but if you do you should be aware of this before you use Better Bulges.
Today's update includes skin-tight swimwear from two packs:
BASE GAME SWIM BRIEFS
Since the base game briefs are pretty tight, they've been given a full VPL shape (as seen on some of my other underwear). The textures have also been updated to add some highlight and shadow to make the VPL shape really pop.
ISLAND LIVING WETSUIT
Wetsuits are tight, but they're usually made of a heavier material that squishes the penis more. I gave the wetsuit a smaller and more compacted VPL shape, with a more subtle shadow, to reflect this.
NOTES:
Better Bulge overrides are separated by pack, so you can delete the ones you don't own and install those you do.
You can remove this file at any time and it shouldn't cause any problems. Your sims will just be wearing the non-bulge versions of the clothing.

As default overrides, probably not. I tend to stick to an "average" size bulge for realism and to avoid issues with clipping, bending and texture stretching. And I wouldn't want my sims running around with a boner all the time, which a default would do. As one-off standalone versions? Possibly, but the same issues have to be considered. I wouldn't want a bulge so big that it makes the texture stretch badly, but I know some might not mind that. And I've never made a boner in clothes - I'm open to the idea but it depends on whether it deforms badly when a sim walks, sits, bends etc. Watching a boner get squished might be a bit of a boner killer! In summary: I might be open to making other versions as one-offs, not as default replacements, but it depends on what the clothing is and how much else I have on my plate!

I know some do not care for realism in clothing, I guess I would say don't download those things? I personally like men that wear tight jeans or shorts where you can see every detail of their fronts and backs

I was going to ask too if you could make either larger bulges for hung sims, or one with a boner to the right or left?

Yeah I can't think of any jeans where that makes sense, personally. Should really only be tight swim wear and sleep wear and similar thin fabric tight items, IMO.

I wonder if it makes sense to do the jeans? There's quite a bit of clothing to get through. Are any of the men's jeans tight enough?
