The special ed is actually 2D animation, but some mistake it for 3D because of the compositing. It was solo storyboarded and 1st key animated by an 18y old named Vercreek. He has done amazing work on other shows you have seen like Maki vs Miwa and Nanami and Itadori vs Mahito in JJK. Together with some of his friends and some staff from 1A pictures they put together this special ed as a high effort gag wich was one year in the making.
