I just wanted to say thank you to everyone again for sharing your experiences with pet loss and grieving in general. While I'm no stranger to grief, it never gets easier over time. Whenever we lose someone, I feel like we equate the random things around us to them, or memories we had with them. Grass is suddenly no longer just grass, it's the land you had a walk on together one time. The wind becomes those car rides with the windows left open, and the scenery takes you back to the one time you were there with them. Even though someone you loved is "gone," they still somehow manage to exist everywhere else around you.
