🕑 Added 2022-04-05 21:46:54 +0000 UTCAs a super future oriented person, I've had many instances of forgetting to live in the moment-- especially when it involves money. This is obviously not to say that you should spend all of your life savings whenever you feel like it, but just remembering to treat yourself when you did something to earn it. I think a lot of people including myself always get this cycle, "Oh, if I spend money on this small thing, I'm suddenly going to go broke," when most of the time, you'll be okay. Sometimes I also just find it funny that we work so hard for our "future selves" only for us to STILL not treat ourselves, even after we become that "future self." While saving money for the future definitely is smart and important, I just think it should ALSO be important to remember to care for the version of yourself right now. Note: This comic actually isn't based on a specific memory. It's based on various instances, and combining them together based on an idea.

This spoke to me on such a personal note I almost cried. I use to miss friend gatherings, going out with family, playing the newest game I wanted to try... all of it would go on hold cause "I have work in the morning" and I wanted to grind to try to get somewhere better in life and save. But now i take time to do the things i wanted and say no to working killer hours and everyone says they see how much happier I am and I'm making so many more fun memories I would have missed
