And the annoying thing is that even getting STRESSED about a new pimple, causes 10 billion new pimples. Honestly I think it's great that nowadays there are a lot more resources for acne sufferers, but when I was growing up, it always sounded like the cause of acne was from being dirty or eating like shit, which was not the case for me. It was annoying to always hear from relatives that I need to eat cleaner, or I need to wash better, when many of the causes were deeper than surface level. Stuff like stress, anxiety, hormones, and other things deeper than skin, were often the causes for my acne fluctuations, and it was always extremely upsetting to have this disregarded by people who belittle it down to, "Get a better skincare routine!" or "Eat cleaner food!" Even when you do ALL those things and follow every rule of the clear skin book. Often these people were my own family members, and it really degraded my self esteem, and still does to this day. However, I'm glad that we're currently living in an age where more people discuss their journey with acne, and more people are finding solutions for those who suffer hormonal imbalances. It makes me feel less alone and hopeful that there could potentially be a solution for everyone.
