You can miss something and not want it back -Paulo Coelho

I used to hold onto relationships and friendships that were bad for me, using our memories and history as reasons to validate why I should still keep them. But that's how things turn toxic
Other than just bad relationships, I always tend to romanticize the good times that have already passed. Although I daydream about them a lot, I remember how I may not have been in the best mental / emotional / whatever state at that time either. So it's a very bittersweet feeling.
Letting go of things don't happen overnight, and a lot of that process included meeting new people, getting into new hobbies, my friends yelling at me xD, and time. For me, this included meeting my new friends in California, meeting my boyfriend, getting into physical activities, and further developing my voice through animation / art. After time has passed, it's interesting to see how your reaction to a past memory is different from before. There was so much more effort put into clinging onto the past before, and now I acknowledge it, maybe I'll make a comic about it, and move forward.
