🕑 Added 2021-09-18 02:51:09 +0000 UTCRoman opens Smackdown
Six minutes in, Roman is still walking and we have recaps still
Cole says right now it’s a universal title match but things could change
Knoxville acknowledge me. Wiseman, educate these people on how to properly acknowledge me. Heyman says he has acknowledged Roman since he was a boy. He says he takes no sabbath ducks no challenger, Roman defends the position of being your tribal chief every moment of every day. Because the TC fears no man no beast no demon but they all fear Roman reigns.
In MSG, I saw Fear in Brock’s eyes.
BIG E INTERRUPTS!
WOW he has FUGEES gear on, crowd gives him you deserve it chants. Finn’s music hits, Balor comes out.
Balor/Big E vs. Usos
Ok, I’m good with this match, but like… why?
This match is sponsored by WWE Red Card now up to 43% APR
Fox: Hi Vince, we just noticed that you took a guy off our channel and put made him the USA Channel champion.
Vince: Yes.
Fox: Can we have him back?
Vince: Well, he’s the champion over at USA.
Fox: We gave you a billion dollars.
Vince: HOw does a tag match sound?
Fox: I don’t know what that is, but sure.
Big E and Finn hit CDG and Big Ending at the same time
Roman asks Paul if there’s anything Roman needs to know. I had no idea Brock Lesnar was coming to MSG. Why else would he make up this false narrative that I knew about him coming to Slam. Brock is dealing for the first time is dealing with fear. That’s how I know he fears you.
Roman: He fears me? So is he gonna show up at Extreme Rules? NO! How do you know?
If he fears you, he wouldn’t dare show up.
I don’t pay you to be under the impression, I pay you to know in advance.
Boogz vs. Roodez
Easy win for Boogz.
After the win, Azeez and Apollo attack Nakamura
On the mic, Apollo says is this your king?
Kevin Owens interview: Says he’s sick of happy corbin, he’s mad, he’s furious, two weeks ago, corbin came on my show, invited his idiot friend, cheap shotted me, and I even tried to help Corbin, even tho he’s a piece of trash, but I’m gonna use that as fuel to beat him down and turn his smile upside down. We’re not gonna have happy corbin, we’re gonna have happy kevin.
Corbin attacks KO before the match so no match
Backstage, Heyman interview, Kayla says Brock might be heading to Raw in the draft, is he aware? Heyman says what’s more laughable, you thinking you have sources, did they tell you I’m still brock lesnar’s advocate? STOP FLIRTING WITH ME!! POKE POKE POKE POKE LEAVE ME ALONE!! Big E is right behind him, he shows him the title. Heyman says congrats, of all people on the smackdown brand to become WWE Champ, you are the one, and I applaud you, cuz you realized you would never successfully cash in on roman reigns. Big E: I guess we’ll see when I face your boy at Survivor Series. But will your boy be Roman or BROCK LESNAR? Or will it be Finn Balor? Usos attack Big E.
Seth in an amazing suit, he says someone shoulda helped Big E there! Last week I had one of the greatest matches in my career when I defeated Edge and now look, we’ve all had a week to process our feelings, and if I’m being honest, what happened to edge was unfortunate and unsettling and scary. When my boot came down across his neck, I heard a pop and I felt a crunch and I don’t know how to describe beyond, um… do you know… when you step on a cockroach, you can hear the crunch and you know when you pick up your shoe and there’s gonna be a lifeless body underneath? Lets look at the footage…
Recap
I have a question, its the same question I’ve been asking myself all week, WHAT DID YOU THINK WAS GOING TO HAPPEN? REALLY, WHAT DID YOU THINK WAS GOING TO HAPPEN? That was one of the greatest wins of my career and I didn’t have a moment to enjoy it, cuz when I went backstage, I get on my phone everyone is calling me a monster, saying WHY WHY? My own employer said that what I did was unconscionable, I used a legal move in a legal match and won it the same way I’ve won matches the majority of my career. So did I go too far? You know who went too far? EDGE. Cuz he’s a family man, he knew the risks and consequences and still got in the ring with me. You know wHo’s to blame? Look to your right, to your left, the mirror, YOU’RE TO BLAME for what happened to edge. You goaded Edge into Goading me. Remember when he called me edge-lite? What did you do? You cheered. What about when he dumped black gunk on my head, ruined my suit. What about when he beat me at summerslam, what did you do then? I’m not the one to blame, its edge and every person in this rotten place and at home. I’m not done with Edge, this past week on NXT, she said Edge was at home recuperating, so if you’re at home, I imagine you are watching, and I know what you are thinking, cuz I would be thinking the same thing, Edge are you physically of getting back in the ring. MOre importantly, are you emotionally capable of getting back into this ring, cuz I saw the look in your eye when they had you on that stretcher, do you know what that look was? It was fear for one second, I FELT SORRY FOR YOU. And I can’t live with myself feeling sorry for someone like you. I gotta move on. THis ends one of two ways: I find you in your cabin and beat you in front of your family, or you come back and we dance once more. For my own sanity, I have to finish you one way or another.
Toni/Liv vs. Mela/Zelina
Liv kicks Mela into the turnbuckle, she holds her nose screaming, leaves, gets counted out.
Street Profits
They say absolutely nothing.
In the trainer’s room, Mela wants Liv at Extreme Rules.
Balor: Everyone wants to know where the demon came from. I wasn’t born into a bloodline. I was born in a fam of railroad workers. But I clawed and scratched and here I am. The demon comes from inside. THe demon is everyone who disrespected me. It unlocks a rage in me that cannot be controlled. I don’t summon the demon, the demon summons me. The bloodline’s disrespect adds fuel to the fire. The fire inside me burns hotter than the fires around me. You are looking at FInn Balor, the challenger. At Extreme RUles you will see the face of the demon, the next universal champion.
Naomi asks Sonya when the fuck her match is. Sonya is like, next week. Naomi GETS IN HER FACE, backs her down, says I’ve done more than you, I’m a two time champ, so one way or another, I’m getting my match.
Sami Zayn vs. Dominik Mysterio
Sami gets his knees up on a splash attempt from Dom to get the rollup win
Bianca Belair comes home video package
Mayor Glen Jacobs comes out, followed by Bianca Belair
Bianca says Becky might have caught me at Summerslam, but I’ve always clawed back to the top, so at ER, I’m gonna take back my title. Kane says ok, so here’s the deal, after you win back the championship at ER, come back so we can have a huge party in your honor, but speaking of honors, it is my honor to present you with the key to our county.
Becky Lynch comes out, says Kane lied to you, you’re not gonna be Champ after ER, but you could be knox county champ!
Bianca says you’re standing here, but you don’t even go here!
Becky Summerslam was my night, ER is my night, but tonight is your night, I came to show you respect. YOu got all these little girls and boys that look at you, I’m trying to shake your hand. Bianca does, doesnt let go. Becky tries to hit KOD, Becky gets out, hits manhandle slam
