Eeek scary leap over Martinez for Kai, good recovery
Mercedes works over Kai’s arm, sending her out of the ring, she follows, Raquel gets in her way, Kai gets in and distracts the ref so Gonzales tries for a clothesline, Mercedes ducks and hits back, Mercedes come in, V-TRIGGERS Kai, then Gonzales Mercedes when she has Kai up for maybe a finish, DQ win for Martinez

GYV: Tonight, MSK is in a match against LDF, they’ll compete in any match except us
GIBSON: MSK ARE A GREAT LITTLE TAG TEAM, BUT PERSONALLY, THEY’RE THE TWO BIGGEST KNOBHEADS I’VE EVER MET, THE TITLES DON’T MAKE THE MEN, THE MEN MAKE THE TITLES, WE ARE THE LEADERS THIS TAG SCENE SO DESPERATELY NEEDS, WE ARE THE FIRE THAT IS GOING TO IGNITE THIS DIVISION, IF THAT CAUSES A FEW SNOWFLAKES TO MELT, SO BE IT- WE ARE THE GYV, SOON TO BE RECOGNIZED ASNXT TAG TEAM-- Ciampa and Thatcher interrupt
Ciampa: I’ve been listening, can’t help but notice some similarities, we’re grizzled, we’re vets- we know a thing or two about being leaders- we all wanna face msk, we wanna be the next tag champs, last time we stepped in the ring, ya’ll got it done, so Tim started taking notes:
Tim: Lot of strengths= but at Cardiff, Shoes off if you hate gibson, Ciampa takes his shoe off, they attack
Drake/Dain interview
Drake thinks Dain will either join Imperium, or he’ll leave him mid-match- Dain says, you gotta have faith
Drake: Did he just quote george michael?
Tien Sha promo: kinda like that Queen album/video
Swerve back in the studio:
He says Leon, what a coward, but then I REALLY thogut about it- Swerve is proud of you Leon! Didn’t think you had it in you. Now that I know that you do, this ring can’t contain us, since the ball is in my court, FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE- you wanna keep playing this game? I’ll play, with your life.
Toni Storm vs. Zayda Ramier
Toni promo: Zoey Stark: people only know who you are because of me, but when all is said and done, history will know you as a footnote in my legendary career- every time I slap this rookie, I’m gonna imagine it’s you
Toni comes out with a big boot, two, many BIELS
Toni dominates, HAS IT WON with Storm Zero, instead, takes it to the top, looks for a top rope SZ, Zoey comes out, distracts, Storm comes back, Ramier fights back, drops a SHOOTING STAR PRESS for 3 holy shit

LDF promo: No one gets one over on Santos, you guys were lucky at Takeover- tonight, in the main event, we make a statement Raul has a GREAT Spanish speaking voice
Reed rolls up to the garganos backstage before his match, he goes to the stage, Austin pops out, what are you guys doing in the dark?

At one point, Reed pounces Austin so he gets stuck in the ropes, Gargano helps, Reed comes through and pounces Austin off the apron, Reed and Gargano chatter, Austin drops a HUGE DROPKICK on Reed, comes in, claims shoulder injury, allowing Gargano to superkick him, Austin attacks on the outside, targeting the ribbies
Back from commercial, Reed has control again, lots of back and forth for awhile, Lumis stalks out, Gargano notices, pulls Candice aside, Indi wants no part of him, she’s pissed he sent Ember and Shotzi flowers, she gets in the ring, him on the apron, he pushes her from danger and takes a hit, Bronson hits tsunami for 3

We’re excited, we wanna show our appreciation for taking us under your wing and helping our transition. KUSHIDA: says tonight lets show them we’re champions! MSKUSHIDA!
The Way backstage
John: You said he had his number! Austin: Wrong number!
This is Lumis’ fault! Candice: They’re trying to steal your man! I see them looking at him with googly eyes! Indi walks off
FINN BALOR HAPPY VACATION INSTAGRAM HAHAHA way to break kayfabe
Imperium vs. Drake/Dain
Dain starts, dominates early
Drake eventually is in, gets isolated for a LONG time, he fights through, but just as he finally goes for a tag, Dain had been dropped from the apron by Wolfe, Drake sees no one there, Dain finally comes back in, wrecks Imperium, goes to the outside, gets booted by Martel, who orders Wolfe to chair Dain, he hesitates, Martel sees this, yells at Wolfe, Drake suicide dives them, Dain throws Drake at Eichner, Dain hesitates to throw Martel cuz Wolfe is there, so Bartel takes out Dain, meanwhile, Drake is by himself against Eichner, but since there’s no Dain, Imperium get their finish off on him for the win

Dunne: I’m the toughest wrestler there is. Not sure what I’m gonna do- he lists off KUSHIDA, WALTER and JOHN, and Kross- I’m the baddest man in NXT, PROVE ME WRONG
Grimes in the jewelry shop- he has a big ass watch, ring it up, then the MILLION DOLLAR MAN shows up, says that’s a nice watch kid, but it’s not a million dollar watch HAHAHAHHA
Robert Stone Brand vs. Shotzi/Ember
Candice and Indi attack before the bell ring, RSB act like they won the tag titles, no match
Cole interview, he’s on the phone, asks if the interview is gonna happen, Arash Markazi says I’m just waiting on you.
Hows your recovery? Been better, been worse. At the peak of my title run, I had a broken wrist.
Was it a mistake to turn on KO?
I decided I didn’t wanna carry the UE, not just them, but NXT for four years. I delivered the first shot, they lost sight. They turned their backs on me.
KO opened and main evented, is he the face of NXT?
People get so excited at every turn to say this is the next big thing- KO got lucky, he’s not ready for the main event spot- he’s been here four years and only now people are recognizing him. He’s not sure if he’s ready, he’s insecure. Only time will tell if he’s ready, but not while I’m here.
Karrion Kross:
He can now say he’s one of the best, he’s good, great? I don’t know. Was his injury before a freak injury or was he just not ready? When I decide to go after it again, his clock is ticking.
What now?
No one’s business but my own. I’m pissed that people think he can replace me. No matter what, people are gonna see the best Adam Cole.
Cole then runs the interviewer down, says it’s HOT, you made me wait, this isn’t the way you conduct interviews. How do I get out of here?
Meanwhile, KO watches on.

Next week:
The Way vs. Shotzi/Ember Tag match Street fight
Ruff vs Swerve FCA
Hahhaa Raul and Wilde have dinosaur masks
MSKUSHIDA vs. LDF
Fun shit, Kushida and MSK work well together, Escobar power bombs K through the announce table, Carter checks on him, Mendoza wrecks him on the outside, leaving just Wes Le in the ring, oh wow Le gets hit with a dropkick mid-cool flip thing, this lets LDF get running corner strike after running corner strike, Raul hits like a slingshot splash on Wes, he kicks out, fends them off, evades all their offense, keeps them at bay with kicks, til Nash gets back up on the apron for the tag, Le tags him in, Carter drops everyone, but he eventually gets hit with a kick, K comes back in, immediately eats a Phantom Driver while LDF get their finish on Nash for 3
****
After the match, they raise the titles high
