HG101’s New Patreon Tiers! (new rewards, goodies)
🕑 Added 2018-05-24 01:46:38 +0000 UTC http://www.hardcoregaming101.net/hg101s-new-patreon-tiers-new-rewards-goodies/Hi HG101 fans! As you probably noticed, we’ve been hard at work the past few months revamping our site. It’s got a whole new design, more articles than ever, we finally added our books, podcast and Discord server here.
We’re super grateful that so many of you are supporting our Patreon every month. Thanks to you, we get to keep the lights on and deliver top quality content. We’ve been getting a lot of requests for new types of content, HG101 goodies, and new kinds of rewards. So we talked with the team and we decided to upgrade our Patreon tiers.
There’s a lot of new stuff for you if you’re a fan of the books, the podcast, or the site. You’ll get to get more episodes, more input, and to contribute to new content! We’ve also been working on t-shirts and stickers of our logo with classic gaming looks. We’re also preparing some neat posters!
For the top two tiers, we’ve been working on a special surprise. We’re making a special limited release of Episode 100 of The Top 47,858 Games of All time, on cassette tape! It’s going to come with a custom label and case art as well.
We hope you’ll like these new tiers! If you’re a current Patreon donor, (and if you're reading this now, then you are, thanks!) your current donation will continue just like before and nothing will change. We’ll keep maintaining them! The only difference is that we've moved the book credit from the $2 to the $5 tier. We'll still be featuring all of the $2 pledgers in the NES Cult Classics book, but for the subsequent books, you'll need to be at the $5 tier. But if you want to switch tiers, you can do that at any time.
Lastly, we’re extending our Patreon goals, so that we can produce even more content:
Goal $2,250: We’ll start a weekly Columns section
Goal $3,500: We’ll be able to increase our article cadence to 30 per month
Goal $6,000: We’ll be able to product books faster (3-4 digests, plus 1-2 full size books a year).
Here are the new tiers:
