In this order: Charmander Hoenn Starters Sinnoh Starters All other starters are mostly ok. I don't hate any of them except Gen 5 (sorry haters)

The Wizard Sentiment

The … interesting prononciation of « Oeuvre » at 7:00 had me hurt in my French speaking heart x) From now on, as reparations, we’ll ask from Brennan that he voice the great bear asking for toast …. But in FRENCH! (Nous demandons justice!)

Luccan

In terms of Ghibli inspiration, the Witch of the Wild Hunt make me think of Sen if she wasn't supposed to be cute

Something nice about Worlds Beyond Number - everyones story hits very hard in different ways but they work so well together. Special shout out to Suvi's story which really hit home as a European immigrant who left the USA and loves the people back home but is struggling to reconcile all the evil that is taking place now. Cannot wait for space!

ILY thanks for ending w the bear song. One of the highlights of my year :)

Hi, Persona Populi! You did great! I will answer with something beautiful about Worlds Beyond Number. The way that the creators and everyone who works at WBN talk to their patrons and fans is kind and inclusive. I hope all of your holidays were lovely.

Fxd Gear Queer

Kinda surprised Castle in the Sky wasn't mentioned for the Citadel. The eponymous structure literally could've been a defunct court of the citadel, what with the flying and the magitek and the world conquering wave-motion robots. Spirited Away Lite is Beautiful Matrix LOTR Fellowship

Elizabeth Boskey

Thank you for being such a delightful bunch of weirdos

Zenith Rose

At this stage we gotta get a picture of baddie grandma ren.

There is a fox starter 😅😂 Also mine is Turtwig

Hi, I am the people, more avatar of the people in the new year, please!

Cackle Cackle

Absolutely agree with Brennan and Lou’s FMK. Also maybe I’m playing the game wrong, but I assumed we could fuck who we marry? But honestly. A shape hanger. Fuck a SHAPE. Changer. How isn’t that the hottest? But just too much angst for the day to day. Also — Sly knowing what the future holds would be such a great life partner. “Oh hey, don’t say that to Susan at work today, she’s about to trap you in HR.” Thanks babe. Also seems like a useful husbandly tool to know all the potential outcomes of sexy times based on choices he makes. And the mess would be totally manageable because you’ve got so many rubies just lying around, think of all the housekeepers you could hire. Just let him have one messy room where you don’t touch anything, like a horrible office. Omg wait I think I may have married the real-world Sly. What do I do with this information??

Strawberry Milkshake

I really loved having a person here to get more questions answered. It feels selfish though.

Death Nell (Nellaenora)

I had to turn my volume all the way up, turn the playback speed to 50%, and then play the tidbit Brennan slid in there at the very end no fewer than four times to understand what tf he said. Worth it. 😆 Sly Wren. Perfect. I mean, the wren is king of the birds according to old Celtic (and even mainland European) legend, because of it's cunning and... slyness. Makes sense!

Erin Keith

Agree about 1984, which is why Brave New World shook me way, way, waaaaay harder!

Jill Knonenborg

Suvi’s starter is Mudkip and Ame’s is Cyndaquil, I will not be explaining this

Ewizabeth Herd

Also, the worlds and characters of WBN are so engrossing and engaging, but the above-table humor and wit and evident enthusiastic enjoyment of one another’s company makes it even more fun. Hopefully it’s not weirdly parasocial to say that it feels like hanging out with friends (who are telling an amazing story).

Ewizabeth Herd

All About Eve, Monsoon Wedding, Lost in Translation, Ghost in the Shell (the original anime, obvs)

Kaʻainakekoa

The way spirits and the spirit world are described in the podcast is very similar to my personal/familial view of spirituality and has made me feel seen/understood in a very rare way. That's beautiful, to me.

WBN gives me hope for respectful, challenging, joyful, smart human storytelling in a time where so many other media companies are publishing stories that insult the intelligence of the listener. Your characters ask "what would this person actually do, rather than what is the trope for what a main character would do?" There's so much humanity in being asked to really consider the perspective of someone imperfect. Your stories ask me to think, and imagine, and empathize. I can't think of a better gift. This is the only patreon I'm a part of, and I'm here for the long haul baby!

Kaleb Kirkevold

Letterbox top 4 for me is: Clue, Lion King 1 1/2, Mad Max Fury Road, and Everything Everywhere all at Once

Rivkah Mentzer

Here's the thing, tho. Our little Overton windows are sometimes malleable dependent on how comfortable we are with the people in the room and how safe we feel with the people handling the subjects. If I find an author I trust to tell me a story I'm not used to hearing, I will still listen because that author has earned my trust and rewarded the emotional energy I expended for those characters. I respect the work they've done in the past and know they hold themselves to a high standard that they actively work to meet. Same goes for oral storytellers. The fact that there's FOUR ENTIRE HUMAN BEANS (and Taylor and Mel and invisible people whose hands are nevertheless good and strong) that we trust to open our minds and widen our hearts means that sometimes, for just a few minutes in this corner of the internet, it really can be like the Nothing never was.

Carri Miller

Happy holidays WBN! Thank you for the stories in 2025 and I look forward to more in 2026!

Don't actually have a Letterboxd account, but my top four are: 1) The Princess Bride (RIP Rob and Michele Reiner); 2) The Grand Budapest Hotel; 3) The Northman; and 4) The Green Knight [constantly in flux]

My beautiful thing about WBN is that it’s a beautiful project created by 4 people I deeply respect. Honestly, nothing makes me feel safer in this space than knowing I can respect the people who make the art.

Catrick

i am for sure a fire starter simp from waaaaaaay back but i do have a soft spot for rowlet <3

Mo

My beautiful thing about wbn is how it has connected me with other people. Discussing new episodes on tumblr, giving plot summaries to my friends who don’t listen so they can understand what’s running through my brain, and live listening to the finale with my bestie as we both lose our mind about the story we had been invested in for so long. It’s awesome how a story can connect you with other people!

Ryan Higgins

Favorite thing about WBN? Our Avatar of the People, of course!

Chris Kagamine

I wish that the cast had played Pokemon X and Y. Those starters are literally perfect. Eursulon is associated with Green, and the (Green) Grass Type Starter Final Evolution is a Bear-like Paladin. Name: Chesnaught Ame is associated with Red, and the (Red) Fire Type Starter Final Evolution is a Fox Witch. Name: Delphox Suvi is associated with blue, and the (Blue) Water Type Starter Final Evolution is sneaky and associated with darkness/shadows. Also, it’s a frog, which is ironic for Suvi. Name: Greninja

WBN truly helped me become a better person. Having a series that screams, so loudly, that nothing is more valuable than community and human connection really put me in the right mindset for some mental healing and pulled me out of a resentful and isolated place. So thanks for being beautiful.

I'll not make it through this without crying. WBN and WWW especially is a light in the darkness. I've never listened to an AP that has felt more meaningful and I'm so grateful this little group of friends decided to make it. I know people say there's no new art, no new stories, it's all the same but it isn't. As an artist I see the million variables of authenticity and choice that make this show a delightful and unique experience. I also don't know if anyone else feels this way but if someone came to me and had never listened to an AP before this is the one that I would tell them to listen to. It feels completely like a story being told with the spice of dice rolls to add a realistic component, and you don't need to know a single thing about TTRPG to be able to follow and understand. On top of it being accessible like that the stories we've had so far are both wonderfully fantastical and deeply relatable. I have cried, and I am not a cryer, from every emotion in this show, heartbreak, joy, devastation, inspiration, grief, triumph, fear, adoration...what incredible stories, told by such unique skillful and kind people. To many more years of light in the darkness, sitting by the camp fire, telling stories. Ahoo hoo crackle crackle🍻

Just want to say thank you all for all your work this year and in all the years before! Worlds Beyond Number has truly been the highlight of my year and I’m slowly (but surely) getting everyone I know to listen in. Thank you for the stories and can’t wait for the next adventure! Happy Holidays!!

“An extra long episode”— an average to slightly under average length episode. But happy to have anything at all

Bernice

Mudkip is the best

Jack Flynn

Something beautiful about WBN is how immersive the podcast truly feels as a listener. I've listened to the whole podcast at least 4 times (certain episodes even more than that - love The Vote 🧙❄️) at this point and I hear new details each time. Thank you so much for all the work that goes into this creative endeavor and can't wait to see what's in store in 2026

Jay

Something beautiful about WBN - it a truly inspiring and stunning work of art with a small but incredible creative team that works hard to tell an amazing story!! Also, regarding the story itself, little details like the fact that Eursulon's magic smells of honey 😌

Alyssa

The Pantone color of the year IS fucking klanhood white and it’s fucking CRAZY. Like why am I reading the headline “Play-doh celebrates creativity with Pantone’s 2026 color of the year” with a white play-doh container with some white play-doh?? I rebuke this, in the name of God/the Devil/Santa Claus 🙅‍♀️👿🎅 But there’s definitely the connection between fascism, minimalism, and white supremacist bullshit that smarter people than me have analyzed. Like, the bad men didn’t come and MAKE us dress all in gray, and yet white is the color of the year and “clean girl aesthetic” is just sOOoOooOoooo chic and not at all stinking of racism 🙄 It’s like the rich rich British empire conquering half the world for spices, but when it was affordable enough for the masses, then spices are actually bad and low class. The Citadel doesn’t seem to me to be festooning itself, not for the masses. Not to just revel in the spoils of war. They’re using Quicksilver for Lucien Court for only those high up and on the up and up, not to better the lives of the many. No matter what lie it tells itself. They festoon themselves enough for the masses to not revolt and additional seems more the natural sort of culture and patterns that emerge in any city. But I know fuck-all and didn’t make the citadel, so 🤷‍♀️

Jonathan Crawshaw

Of course Brennan knows all the lyrics to Auld Lang Syne

12 Angry Men The LotR extended Trilogy Pride and Prejudice (2005) Much Ado About Nothing (1993) Mudkip WBN is beautiful because it didn't have to exist, and it does. It is, at its core, a story about the importance of the people in our lives, how they shape and change us.

Lane Murray

Alright, im sorry I cant let Brennan get that last comment past without a follow up question, If they could both get it, then who rocked whose world? I need to know

There are a lot of actual plays put there, but the part that made me unabashedly fall in love is the merge of D&S and Audiobook. Taylors Craft is Second to none porting a great D&D show to something that enchants the world, persuading her to be kinder than before.

My top 4 films: Tokyo Godfathers Death Becomes Her Atlantis: The Lost Empire Strange Magic Hard to pick a favorite starter, but I think Popplio wins out. I love my little clown/drag queen son. And it’s hard to pick one specific reason why this pod is so special, but I want to give extra kudos to the sound design. I’ve scrumpt so many screams when the kickass music tracks hit just right and I’m so excited to see the tone shift from epic fantasy to sci-fi reflect in the music.

Arillusine

Three cheers for the Avatar of the people! ❤️ Thank you for this wonderful surprise. For your request: The Princess Bride Princess Mononoke Last of the Mohicans Seven Years in Tibet I never got into Pokémon 😬 (There’s more, keep reading!) These stories, told by these four people and their talented friends, who all have so much love and warmth for one another, make my life better. Full stop.

Alyssa

Sorry Melanie Bowman, Avatar of the People, but it seems near impossible to follow a clear cut and precise direction like only answering ONE of 3 options!! As a WBN fan???

Margo

This has been an exceptionally hard time of year for me for a while now, and listening to a bunch of spirits bringing warmth and wonder to Nif and the other orphans was just as much of a gift to me, as Worlds Beyond Number has been all year and every year. Thank you.

Alyssa

Something beautiful about Worlds Beyond Number?? 🤩 I do not have the gift of language necessary to accurately convey the beauty of WBN and what you all create…but I’ll fucking try. 💜The worlds you all have created, the silly parts and the serious parts and the parts that are reflections of our own world and humanity, have meant more to me than any piece of media I have ever engaged with. You all have inspired me to play DnD for the first time in years, to learn new hobbies like sewing and embroidery and beadwork in order to find ways to continue to engage with Umora, to go to live shows and conventions, and I beg of you not to invent a fucking language because I am already slacking enough on my Irish classes. 🙏🏻 I love how much my preschooler loves you guys…the episodes they can listen to anyways. 😂 It’s so nice to have something that we both love to listen to on road trips 🚙 (it’s mostly just Matsuri 100 times) Being able to listen to the beautiful, silly, poignant moments you guys create on WBN and on the fireside has really helped me cope while I’ve been dealing with a rare 1 in 500,000 sarcoma for the last 2.5 years. A line from Aabria on the fireside “there’s more story left…good luck” 📖✨ is now tattooed on my thigh and is my favorite reminder Thank all of you so fucking much for the worlds you create, because it’s shaped my world so much in so many different ways 💜 Also…Pikachu ⚡️Don’t mess with a classic

Bobby Lewis

This podcast means connection. You are the podcast and actual play I recommend to all my friends and colleagues. WBN has also made its way into my daughter’s bedtime stories and is encouraging my own improv story telling with her. Thank you all so much! Pirate Radio LOTR Two Towers Surfs Up Grand Budapest Hotel And What makes WBN beautiful is the vivid world that is created through collaboration. I listen to almost all the dnd things out there and nothing paints a such a rich and vibrant picture like these five+ (because the audio is absolutely part of the magic). Also as someone in absolute refusal to let the darkness of the world do its worst, the honor, heart, and intent to do good for the world and its creatures that Ame and Eurselon show gives me so much inspiration and strength.

Tasha Robinson

Cyndaquil

Elliot

My love of fantasy and medievalism came from my dad, who read The Hobbit to me when I was 4, and who religiously re-reads the LOTR every year. WWW has similarly become my single favourite story to continuously re-listen to; I never tire of being pulled completely and totally back into this incredible world. Every time I start again it’s like coming home to Grandma Wren’s cottage.

Picton

Something beautiful from the show: the slow, slow burn of growth from each of the three main characters. Even though I couldn't wait for the growth episode by episode, it was infinitely more satisfying to have been made to wait. Love all of your work. Happy Holidays!

I watch much fewer films or shows because WBN has brought me back the joy of listening to stories. It has also made me appreciate improvisational collaborative storytelling more than prescriptive methods. Having said that, any film by Yasujiro Ozu is up there and Pixar's Turning Red was fabulous.

deirdre

seeing someone mention columbus (2017) is wild bc i lived there for a few years

Worlds Beyond Number regularly makes me laugh and cry. Y'all are incredibly talented and clearly having so much fun--it's a delight to listen to!

LOTR-two towers Stardust Knight and Day Spirited Away Always my lightning boy Pikachu. WBN makes Tuesdays a better day. (And other days when releases get delayed!) It’s so cool to see people getting to do what they love and feel like I can be at least a little part of that. Got to go to 2 D-20 shows this year, playing through Ghost of Yotei right now, and have finally been dragged over to CR by the BLeeM - so absolutely feasting in all the stories right now! About WBN: have been here since the children’s adventure and am not going anywhere. This podcast has changed how I approach and follow stories

expandingnebula

(did anyone catch what Brennan said about Sly at the very end their? I slowed the playback down to 0.5 and still couldn’t catch it 😂)

Jackaloop

Beautiful about WBN: Life has been hard the past few years. But the pod has been there through all of it. Whether it's Suvi holding my hand and saying "we can change for the better" or Ame pulling me along and saying "be clever and brave and kind" or Eursulon with an arm around my shoulders reminding me of honor and valliance and to care for my friends and strangers with passion, or Brennan reminding me that there are stories in the dark times that light the way if we have the courage to see them through, or Taylor showing me that care for details and repetition of action are a kind of love and faith. And the community that has been built on these ideals too. We've all bonded around these pillars of humanity (and spirit-manity?) And it makes us better to each other than many communities I've been a part of. The home that is WBN to me is all comfort and love and warmth in a world that has been cold and isolating at times. And thats a beauty thats been built by you all at the pod. Thank you and happy new year

Just yesterday I learned that a colleague is a Dropout fan, loves Dimension 20, but didn't know WBN. I fixed that.

Witch of the Winding Rivers

Oh, and another beautiful thing about the Wizard, the Witch, and the Wild One was that during the children’s adventure, I believe there was an episode about the fox that had such perfect soundscapes of the woods, and my cat, who was dying at the time, loved. As he was put to sleep, I played it for him, so that he could feel safe and excited for the next world. I imagine him out there, hunting mice and bugs and getting to prowl in the big wide spaces of the Otherworld. Thank you for giving him peace as he passed.

Witch of the Winding Rivers

My top four films changes pretty constantly, but obviously, The Princess Bride, Fréwaka (an incredible Irish language horror film that is SO GOOD), Scream, Lord of the Rings (the entire trilogy, but specifically the two towers). I think something beautiful about WBN is how much it’s validated my storytelling perspective and then *expanded* it beyond what I could have conceived. In the new year, I’m planning to take acting lessons because of how much this space has made me remember how much I loved acting as a child, and how much of my storytelling I don’t want to be just on paper - even though I love writing! It’s made me want to improve exponentially as a DM, and part of that is improving my acting skills. I’m also so happy to report that due to a bad head cold this Yuletide season, even though I will have to postpone Christmas plans, now I have something to do with my time, which is catch up on the Miyazaki Oeuvre I have missed!

Lay

Thank you, avatar of the people! - The Handmaiden, Jurassic Park, Nausicaa, The Philadelphia Story 😅 - I don't really know Pokemon but I love a Psyduck, relatable stressed out little guys - Something beautiful about Worlds Beyond Number is how it's grown and blossomed over these years just as the story itself has. I'm known as the WBN representative amongst my friends because I never stop hyping it up and I couldn't be more proud of earning that title.

Something beautiful about WBN: how evident it is that the cast loves each other. I graduated college this past May, and moved across the country, and I miss the friends I had in school, but listening to Brennan and Lou loudly sing Auld Lang Syne over Aabria and Erika’s protests is so rambunctious and joyful, it helps me remember the ways I am loved and have loved.

AJ Luna

Letterboxd Four Faves: - Castle in the Sky - Lady Bird - It Follows - Fellowship of the Ring Starter: Fennekin or Bulbasaur I love about WBN: more than I can succinctly say. That we’ve all found storytellers who have such rich, vibrant hearts, instincts that serve the story and their listeners, who all seem to be kind and courageous people? It’s a dream come true.

Mimi

Squirtle, then Mudkip immediately behind, and then sweet baby Rowlet :')

William Hazelden

Merry festivus holidays to all the WBN team! Thank you for making my year more tolerable with your wonderful, wonderful stories!!! ❤️ 🤍💜❤️

Trish K

there’s so much i could say about what’s beautiful about WBN but i think number one is what a source of inspiration it is to lock in on my own creative pursuits! it always lights a fire under my ass to work on the fantasy novel that’s live in my head for a decade and i’ve wanted to try making a video essay since i love watching them on YT so much and i figured a WWW recap would be the perfect thing to delve into and yap about! much love and happy holidays to everyone involved in this lovely show!!

Titus Weikal

Letterboxed Top 4 (in a particular order): • Spirited Away • Everything, Everywhere, All At Once • The Truman Show • In the Mood for Love

Daniel Wong

Brennan! You can pick Fennekin!!! T.T

Fraud_Monet

Okay, I know "one" was in all caps and everything, but i gotta shout out my boi Pinplup! 🩵💙

Fraud_Monet

Letterboxd Top 4: - Casino Royale - Perfect Blue - Coraline (3D) - The Thing

Surest Tuna3

I love Squirtle so much. Easily my favorite Pokémon.

Misty Hayes

Without Aabria and Brennan's advice on world building as a DM, I doubt I ever would have been able to finish my fantasy novel. They taught me more about how to create a world and make it feel real to an audience than any other resource I've ever come across.

Alex Kurth

Pikachu is the best starter pokemon!

Jennifer Sieben

WBN has been an excellent source of escape this year when real life has been rough. It has also been a fun source of bonding between my best friend and I. Every week we swap updates on the different shows/podcasts we enjoy and WBN is the one she is by far the most interested in. It has been so much fun to theorise with her.

Jerry Mac

Charmander my cute little fire lizard

somnimae

I play the ones that let me have Pikachu as my starter. But I've had Bulbasaur and Fennekin. I laughed when using leech seed when I was younger. I'm sure there's optimal ways to play but I had fun

GhastlyGrapefruit

Something beautiful about World's Beyond Number and specifically the Children's Adventure is that it took me back to being a kid! I listened to it while hiking last summer and it was just immaculate vibes all around

Ryan L

Ya know what? I’ll allow it. I was gonna flame you for wanting to start the game with a Pseudo-, and then realized your preference is Feraligator. You’re playing for you, not for meta. Go catch ‘em all man.

Ryan L

I’m basic. My favorite starters are Chimchar/Torchic/Scorbunny. Fire/Fighting is great.

Sarah W.

Crossing Delancey, Squirtle, the movie that played in my head during ABASSIN

Johnathan Xavier Hutchinson

Noticing everyone’s Pokemon contribution, I shall give a tiny inside joke: Me- I know more than a few Pokemon! I know charmander, squirtle, pikachu… Spryo?? Sibling- SPYRO IS A SKYLANDER

Keith Reid-Cleveland

My favorite starter pokemon is Torchic. It was the first started I got to level 99 and I nicknamed it 'Hotwing.'

Johnathan Xavier Hutchinson

The Wizard, the Witch, and the Wild One has me so inspired! On one hand, I will be more active in advancing my voice acting this new year (not just because of this campaign but you get the jist). On the other hand, I will dump time, money, and effort into getting a Ghibli inspired animation show for this campaign. Much like how Critical Role has Legend of Vox Machina and The Mighty Nein. The fan animatics are fantastic! And they very well could be a starting point

Toe

Something beautiful about World's Beyond Number is it inspires me to make things, like paintings and cocktails and playlists and maybe one day a uquiz that asks what fireside guest you are and buttons that say SOMEONE GET THIS KNIGHT SOME SHOES!!!! and goblin wizards who can get advantage on her shadow blade attacks with the secret of the twilight crown or use the secret of the second chance in a fugue state to no mechanical effect, but to great magical effect. i love it very much <3

Mike Sapienza

In no particular order: Fallen(1998), The Blues Brothers (1980), The Twelve Chairs (1970), Batman (1989). Only two of these were made after I was born! Squirtle #1! And this show was a major help through some very dark parts of the last year for me. Thank you all for making it.

Joshua Stephens

The Avatar of the People!!! Squirtle.

Beast

Totodile! But if I could choose any Pokémon as a starter: Dratini

T. B. Shaw

Top 4 films: Arrival, Superman 25, Netflix Fyre documentary (don't judge me lol), Pride and Prejudice ✨️✨️

Worlds Beyond Number helped me get through a major move in my life. I moved into my new home, away from a previous home that wasn't accepting of my queerness, the day that The Children's Adventure dropped. Suvi, Ame, Eursulon, and Grandmother Wren helped me unpack and create my new home.

Skeletal Cleric

Bulbasaur since Dec. 25 1998

CHARMANDER

Lisa Harkins

I would never in my wildest dreams have thought to listen to a podcast where people play D&D until I took a long, end of summer trip with my adult son and his partner to visit, yes, grandma. My world is forever changed by the beautiful story of The Witch, the Wizard, and the Wild One and now I am working through the amazing stories on Dimension 20. Thanks for your unique approach to storytelling and the love in your friendship that makes it possible. Cannot wait to hear the new projects.

Sam Moody

It is a special thing to find such profound expertise paired with such an enthusiastic and generous instinct to invite the audience into the *how* of your craft - into the joy and confusion, the learning and sharing, the bullseyes and whoopsies. Y'all's work feels like a refusal of perfect, preservable outcomes in favor of a whole and human process, and it makes my heart sing. Many cheers to our collaborative human superpowers that convince one plus one to equal three, and the beauty of making things together. Thank you all.

Kevin Engelkamp

Totodile!!

Andrew M

Bulbasaur was my first and one of my favorite Pokémon. Piplup is my favorite starter though. And I absolutely love WBN. WWW has been such a beautiful and heart wrenching ride. I cannot wait to see what Aabria brings with Solera (name not final).

Janneke Noij

Very proud (and not surprised at all) to have streamed nearly 8000 minutes of WBN on Spotify alone! Thank you for the wonderful story, characters, music, and many giggles and tears

charmander 4ever the green knight, alien, princess mononoke, blade runner

Tim St Aubin

A beautiful thing about the podcast is this stumbling across this incredible story and getting to share it with my partner as she is now listening to it and almost done. It’s a powerful and inspiring story told by some of my favorite performers and I have loved every second

expandingnebula

also forgive me if all this reveals is my limited knowledge of Pokémon. WBN showed me the possibilities of stories and inspired me to be more thoughtful in my own pursuit of play and story telling and I think helping me be a better therapist along the way. Thank you for an amazing year and I cannot wait for WBN 2026💜💜💜💜

expandingnebula

Huge fan of Bulbasaur — there is nothing better than a lil earth dino with strangle vines comin’ atcha to bitch slap a Pokeball away. chefs kiss

WBN is how I got my partner interested in DND. She was supportive, but didn't really "get" it. We listened to the first couple of episodes of the Children's adventure and she fell in love. Also, Squirtle. I understand the love for Charmander, but there's no one for me like my little bubble buddy.

WBN is the biggest reason I finally decided to get a bunch of my friends together and run the campaign that had been bouncing around in my head for a while now. You're all incredible storytellers and incredible inspirations, and I cannot count the number of long drives where I've cried listening to WWW because of how beautiful you all have crafted the world, story, and characters to be. Happy Holidays!

eyevan

Surfs up Digimon the movie Zoolander Tarzan Youre welcome

Just a Fox

Something beautiful about WBN is how genuinely inspiring WWW is and has been. Not just as a feat of storytelling and audio drama podcasting, but the narrative itself, too. For me, specifically, it has been Eursalons level up moments in Book 1 and Book 4 (especially Book 4) which have roused something in me and permanently altered my neurochemistry. Because of this podcast, I have taken steps towards being more politically active in my country and sought out ways to contribute to mutual aid programs in my local communities. Stories like these are important, especially in times like these, and I'm genuinely thankful and joyful that WBN exists to tell them. Thank you x1000, happy holidays and a brighter tomorrow to you all ❤️🔥

My lettboxd top 4 is as follows: 1. How to Train Your Dragon 2. Everything Everywhere All at Once 3. Princess Mononoke 4. Godzilla Minus One

Top 4 Films in no particular order: Arrival Moonlight The Princess Diaries Pirates of the Caribbean - Part 1 WBN has made me fall in love with a story again, like I only did once in my life before in my childhood. Since the start of WBN, story has once again become part of my every day. It is hard to pick a favourite part of your favourite thing but no story has ever touched me like Suvi's arc and it's not close. My only sorrow is that I can't share these wonderful stories with my mom, because she doesn't speak English.

Anthony Mineghino

The most beautiful thing about wbn is the friends we made along the way

The Wizard Sparrow

This is perfect. It’s gonna kill one of the three hours that I have to travel home.

Ollie

Leterboxed top 4: The Passion Of Joan Of Arc The Princess Bride Funeral Parade Of Roses But I'm A Cheerleader

Nate Freeman

Treecko is my favorite starter, they’re just great. Oshawott and Dewott are so good, but Samurott is just so meh. Why does a bipedal otter evolve into a bigger bipedal otter into a quadrupedal Narwhale thing? It’s sooo close to perfect. My biggest gripe with Pokémon.

Kevin

Top 4 is 1. Curious george-quite simply the greatest movie ever made 2. Of an Age 3. Everything Everywhere All at Once (although honestly might drop it) 4. The Boy and the Heron

Worlds Beyond Number: An invitation to leave your sorrows behind, a portal to your mystical dreams and a doorway to your inner peace.❤️

Top 4 is pretty impossible but at the moment, I will say: Our Hospitality (1923); Dear Frankie (2004); The Shawshank Redemption (1994); Arsenic and Old Lace (1944); The Fall (2006). I know The General is technically considered the best Buster Keaton film, but Our Hospitality was my first feature length viewing experience and holds a special place in my heart.

Jack Loewe

Letterboxd: Mean Girls, Scooby Doo (spooky island), Everything Everywhere All at Once, Phantom Thread. Pokemon: Treeko

Something beautiful about Worlds Beyond Number: Perfectly and beautifully depicting what it looks like for love and family to be made up of individuals who are wildly different from one another, but all so powerful in their own rights.

Erin Morse

Paddington 2 is so goated

Smitsel

Something beautiful about WBN; Not getting into my full trauma dump, but this series has been with me during some of the hardest times of my life. Got married, got cheated on, getting divorced, and that was just this year. This story has still been such a good escapism from everything going on, and I hope you guys know how much you are all appreciated for everything you do. Truly, truly appreciated for just being a constant as everything happens in reality. I cannot accurately put into words how much it has helped me. Thank you so much, and looking forward to future worlds to explore <3 (In slightly better news, in talks with someone else who is already a fan of this show! So already bringing me to new people too! Gonna be really funny if she sees this 👑)

Ryan

Ditto is my favorite pokemon and honestly I love the music in WBN it's my favorite part

Erin Morse

One of the most beautiful things about WBN to me is the genuine love for storytelling shown by each and every one of you. Everything you do from the restraint in some scenes so that something will pay off chapters later, to jumping into quest fever, picking up a bit, locking in, the sounds and music created, the editing. The sheer respect for the art of telling a story in every way shape and form is absolutely beautiful.

Emily C

Worlds Beyond Number has inspired me to create so much of my own art, fanart and otherwise. I started teaching myself to draw about a year and a half ago, and I can see improvements, some directly due to wanting to draw things from WBN:WWWO.

Meagan Morrow

It's beautiful to have artists loving what they do and sharing it with others so they can love it too. It's so fun to be part of this community! Thank you for what you do!

Ted Collins

Listening as I travel home for Christmas. I love this show because Worlds Beyond Number is such a beautiful tale that it turns distance into a journey. Thanks for making stories 🏕🔥
