Brennan's "I haven't experienced negative consequences for my system so I haven't invested in a new one" take is how I am with doing things (especially, historically, schoolwork) at the last minute. Like, things always come together and work out fine, so the only negative consequence I've experienced has been all that last-minute stress (which, tbh, has gotten bad enough as I've gotten older to be more and more of a deterrent). But Erika talking about fallible memory is, like, my whole life. My memory is a friggin' colander (yay ADHD 🙃), so I've had to come up with systems and coping strategies.
