Her subclass lets her put 2d8 (? I think, not going back to search for it) spells into her spellbook and I think she rolled fairly high, or at least average. Makes sense; the Citadel is all about extensive learning and preparation, particularly as a war mage. (Also makes sense for a campaign that probably isn’t going to go through the motions of constantly looking for spell scrolls to copy. She has her own library.)

All the violent spell Suvi has! Exciting. Hopefully next time she’ll pick up some ritual spells. That way she won’t be so spell slot dependent. 6 spell slots may feel like a lot, but they can go quick (especially if there aren’t many short/long rests)

I know Arc 3 has already been recorded, but I do hope Lou knows that Eursulon is also a "Prep Caster" like Ame is [Charisma Modifier] + [1/2 Paladin lvl, rounded down] spells that can be prepared after every long rest! No need to limit yourself! You too can pick your spell list depending on your mood (and whether you choose Violence like Suvi haha)

I love that the levelling up in this game is not just some magical thing that randomly happens but tied to character and plot development. I've just started DMing my first homebrew campaign and it inspired to try something like this with my players and they are so into it. Thanks all for the stories and the inspiration.

They are all great characters but Suvi development wise is the most interesting one to me. Suvi wouldn't have to make these decisions if her friends would slow down and think. The internal conflict of this party is fantastic.
