I am loving this series and I can't wait to see where it goes, but as a person who stutters I cringe every time I hear the phrase, "Did I stutter?" There are so many other ways to get that point across that don't imply that the way I and others speak is humorous or wrong.

Sure thing. You can also make in a rice cooker if it has a porridge setting, but you'll want to adjust the ratio of liquid to rice. Jook kicks the pants off the best chicken soup imo. Really great on a cold day too.

6cups water 4cups chicken broth 1cup rice(jasmine is my goto) 1 1/2lb chicken thighs(4-6 thighs) 1 hand ginger cut into 4 peices( no need to remove the skin, just wash them) 1ts white pepper salt to taste. Chuck it all in a soup pot and bring to a boil, once boiling, reduce heat to med low and simmer for 1hr, stirring occasionally. After an hour, remove ginger and chicken thighs. Allow chicken to cool enough to spread and remove all bones. Return chicken to the pot. Season with additional salt and pepper. Serve as is, or add green onion and an egg as garnish.
