FAQ me? FAQ You! The Worlds Beyond Number Instruction Manual
🕑 Added 2023-02-01 04:43:18 +0000 UTCWhere things are, how to enjoy them, how to fix them when they break, AND SO SO MUCH MORE!
Here are some answers to questions frequently asked:
How Do I Sign Up?
Simply go to patreon.com, create an account, then go to patreon.com/worldsbeyondnumber, and click "Join" under the membership level that's right for you. Probably the highest one.
Is It Audio Only?
Mostly, yes. We might share some behind the scenes videos every once in a while, but the Public Feed, and the Fireside feed (only for Patrons) are audio only. Congratulations, it's a podcast!
What's the Release Schedule?
The public episodes of the main campaign come out every other week, with Fireside Chats, and...other things, on the patron-exclusive Fireside feed on the weeks in between ;)
I'm Completely New to Podcasts. How Do I Listen?
Well, you could listen to the Fireside feed simply by opening the post with the audio you'd like to hear and pressing play right here on the Patreon website, but you don't want that, you want a proper podcast. To listen to a podcast on a mobile device, you'll need an app called a "podcatcher." Your phone probably came with one installed. If not, or if you'd like to step up into a better class of podcatchers, we recommend Overcast for iOS and Pocket Casts or Podcast Addict for Android. Once you have your podcatcher, you'll want to find its directory of shows within the app, and search for Worlds Beyond Number. There we are. Add us. Great, now you've got the main show. To get your Patron-exclusive content, a bonus podcast we call The Fireside, keep reading:
Do I Need to Subscribe to the Public Feed and the Fireside Feed?
Yes. Episodes of the main show are sent out over the main, public feed. That’s the feed you see on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and other podcast apps and directories. Patrons however, get access to an exclusive bonus feed called the Fireside Feed. To get the main show and your premium content on your podcatcher, you’ll need to subscribe to both. We sincerely appreciate you taking the time (should only be a few seconds!) to subscribe to both feeds, as it’s the best way for us to grow the show, keep it sustainable, and make sure you get all your awesome bonus content.
How Do I Get the Fireside Feed Onto My Device, Yes I Mean My Phone, I Don't Know Why I Said "Device."
That's okay, we're all doing our best, and we are called upon by our own conscience to be gracious to each other and ourselves. Or not, I don't know. Either way you're fine!
—Once you've joined our patreon, make sure you're logged into Patreon, and go to patreon.com/worldsbeyondnumber
—just under the title of the page, you'll see three headings that say HOME - ABOUT - MEMBERSHIP.
—Click on MEMBERSHIP.
—Scroll down a bit and you'll see a section that says "Listen on other podcast apps."
—Click on the button labeled "Copy Link" and boom, ya got yr link.
—Your podcatcher app should have a way to add RSS feeds. Just add that RSS feed address that you copied from Patreon into your podcatcher (if there's not an obviously marked spot, just paste it into the search bar, that'll usually do it). Boom. You're "in."
—If those instructions don't work for you, take a look at Patreon's official How To Guide.
Can I Add the Fireside Feed to Spotify?
Yes! If you use Spotify, it's a great way to get all your feeds in one place. Here's helpful guide for how to add your Fireside feed to your Spotify account.
All the patron-only Fireside eps disappeared from my feed!
This is almost certainly due to your credit card not going through when you were charged for Patreon this month. Make sure your account is in good standing, try adding the RSS feed to your podcatcher again, and it should be [drumroll] fine. If that doesn't work, try deleting the feed from your podcatcher and add it again, fresh as a daisy. If that still doesn't work, def reach out to Patreon customer support!
How Often Will the Show Come Out?
Bi-weekly, with Fireside Chats published on the weeks in between, roughly. Expect some wiggle room around holidays or big life events, ya know? And of course in addition to that schedule you miiiight just run into some other stuff on the feed ;)
How Do I Ask a Question for a Fireside Chat?
Why, simply submit it via this form, my curious friend.
What is the "State Bird" of Worlds Beyond Number?
It's a tie! Great Blue Heron and the mighty Shoebill. Honorable mention: the Common Potoo.
Is There An Official Discord?
Nope! BUT there are multiple fan-run discords that are perfectly wonderful. Ask a fellow fan and they'll be happy to direct you.
Can I share Patreon content with other people?
Gathering to listen to a Fireside chat with a few folks in your house is fun, and rules, and go get em tiger. Sharing locked content from the Fireside Feed on the internet with a whole bunch of people, no. Please don't do that. We need money to live and it's really unfair to the other Fireside cracklers.
Can I Join the Patreon for One Month, Listen to Everything, and Then Unsubscribe? Will You Be Mad at Me?
You can do that, it's fine! We won't be mad at you.
Will you ever release the Witch class that Erika uses for Ame?
Nah. And we will intentionally obfuscate its details within play to make sure you cant reverse engine--JK, come on, of course we will! Where, when, how? WE ALREADY DID and patrons can get their copy riiiight here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/new-updated-115173221

Hello! Is there a good email to reach your team at? TWTWTWO inspired me to start work on new board game about navigating the politics of a Witch's Coven and the larger politics of a complex world too. Y'all normally focus on role-playing games but I'm curious if you'd like to hear more (maybe collaborate or lend me the theme of the world) but if not I can definitely keep working on the project with a legally distinct theme. Email me at drewmariani@protonmail.com to reach out if you want to hear more about how the game will work! (Or to, y'know, hear about my other projects. I'm not published yet but I can send y'all a prototypes of my further-along wip's, the rulebooks are unillustrated Google docs at this point tho)

The description of how to add fireside to a podcast app didn't line up with my user interface with patreon for android phones. I found it by going to WBN patreon page > podcasts> open the fireside chat feed> 3 dots menu in the top right corner. There I found the link to copy the RSS feed and also to add it directly to the podcast app via patreon app. Hope its helpful for anyone in the same boat to find it.

I wish I checked this before throwing in the towel and just getting the hoode+tee+plush bundle, I wanted to add the sticker pack to my order :(
Channing Kimble-Brown
The site was glitching for me in such a way that let me add one thing to my cart but then would not let me navigate anywhere to add more to the card so PRO TIP if you want multiple things while dealing with this glitch: on the main page with all the merch, right click on the items you want, open each in a new tab. Then go to each tab and add them all to your cart, the website caches your info so they will all add to the same cart. Once you're done, the check out button works perfectly fine (at least it did for me) so you can buy everything, add your discounts, etc. (if you already opened the site in a browser try just doing this in incognito)
Theo Lee
Adding to the site issues comments. I've tried 3 different browsers, toggling VPN, tried incognito etc etc. Two of the sites won't even let me go to the site because it is "not secure" and the one browser that will let me visit the site won't let me add more than one item at a time, like the other comments on here. Thank you for providing us with merch! I hope the site issue is an easy fix! <3

There definitely is an option to subscribe on an annual basis, and as a bonus you get a slight discount. Try settings -> memberships -> WBN -> edit amount? That seems to give me the option to toggle between annual/monthly
Mary W
This is a bit random but is there a way to pay for the year upfront that i’m not aware of or is that a feature that the creators would have to turn on? i was just curious because i saw it was an option for another creator i recently joined and i would be interested in doing the same for Worlds Beyond Number if i can. my membership had some issues on and off this year because money was hard for obvs reasons. i’d be interested in prepaying my membership for a year while i have the money to do so to avoid the headache and maintain access to favorite podcast if i could. If it’s not an option no worries!

I am one of the few who haven't gotten the newsletter. Sven has already graciously tried to help me but I simply do not have it in my inbox :(. I second the post idea . (edit: I have newsletter now thank you melanie 🩷)
SvenTS
I've seen some folks mentioning they didn't receive the newsletter email (understandable in the age of filters) so a post with the big details might be useful. Hi Melanie!
Cole Sarar
After threeish months straight, I'm finally caught up with all the things! Am I going to be sad when I need something to fill my escapism and don't have days and days of audio storytelling to hide inside of? Yes. Am I going to be able to focus on my own creative work a bit? Also Yes. Am I going to stay subscribed? Oh you betcha. Great work, storytellers.
Shannon
Hi Seth! Video firesides are not readily available, unfortunately. We just take clips from the cast's recording sessions for social!
Seth Franklin
when videos are released, where would they be released? I have seen clips on TikTok from fireside chats.
Shameel and Mariam
Would you ever consider releasing the whole of Book One as a audiobook of sorts? Like a downloadable mp3 file? Would love to put it on CDs or a dedicated mp3-player.
Catherine
What a great idea! Thanks! (P.S. You have a couple of things out of order around the Twelve Brooks battles, it looks like?)
Owen Millar
Not really a question buuuut, took a couple hours to make this lol. Complete book 1 experience in the dropout style. https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0LIweQzDGCAyCa05DTnAeg?si=mwiRl24aQJWO5W49UFYS6w
SvenTS
They were previews made up of pieces of Preludes and episode 1 and 2 of the main campaign. Only the Fox one had new content.
Emily I
Hi! Where are the rest of the Then and Now episodes? I'm only seeing the Fox's in the feed, but I've heard reference that there should be one for each of them?
Ryan McHugh
I love that the penultimate one gets harder to accomplish every two weeks and I hope you NEVER update it.
Avaria
There's very high demand. I'd be shocked if it didn't come up again. It just takes a few months to reset. 1st round was in March; 2nd in August; so 3rd round might be sometime in January?
Ex78
Does anyone know if they are gonna make more of the stuffed fox i missed the original release . Just binged the wild witch and the wild one and I want one money is no object
E. Jason Davis
Lou: "I'm glad to have been here for this one." Brennan: "Aww.. does this mean you'll stay?" Lou: "No no. I'm just glad to be here for this one." LOL
Worlds Beyond Number
The best way to stay up to date with the show is to listen via podcatcher apps like Overcast, Pocket Casts, Podcast Addict, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and many many more, almost all of them free. Youtube is not a podcatcher app, per se, though the YouTube Music app does allow you to add podcast rss feeds to be collected there, just by clicking "Add Podcast." Hope this helps!
Bean Planter
Just finished a relisten of the Battle of Twelve Brooks. All 3 of your "state bird" options eat frogs. 😅 Frogs seem difficult to accommodate. (I personally love all three. Even if the shoebill looks like a deranged Henson muppet.)
shadebug
Is there a reason episodes haven’t been updating on YouTube? I’m five episodes behind here and don’t want to have to start using a different podcatcher if it’s just a clerical error
Worlds Beyond Number
We only release a few video excerpt for socials of the fireside chats. They remain audio-first, as this allows the cast to record without the otherwise constant pressure of Being Seen. But who knows what the future holds...
Worlds Beyond Number
While a vinyl pressing is definitely something we'd consider in the future, for our first OST release we'll almost certainly go with digital only, as it makes the entire process more stable, more flexible, less labor intensive, enables the most participation from the most people, and keeps the price point as low as possible.
Thicccmac
Honestly kinda surprised they don't have a complete one yet either it would be immaculate instead of swapping between playlists.
Kayla
Is there a reverse chronological playlist that will do everything in order for first time listeners? That would be amazing to have with the fireside chats
Brandon Carbaugh
If you guys ever do more soundtrack releases, you should consider partnering with one of those companies that does limited runs on vinyl. Would buy. The desire for collecty physical media with WBN is real.
Ink Blood
I've been subbed for for so long and it took a tumblr post for me to realize there's video versions of these 😅 I just listen to them on my podcast app and never even looked here.
jdarksun
But which afternoon? There are so many to choose from!

Witch of the Warren of Words
Filter the posts to show only "image" posts. You will find the Witch Class post for patreon supporters. That also helped me to find the songs for download
Roman Serius
Is there any way the downloads (the OSTs and the Subclasses) could be added to the shop the same way the Rain Road is where it’s included for patreons? (It’s hard to find everything when it’s only in this post format) also the witch class still has a price of $10 for me even though I’m on the patreon?
Kate Fisher
The sound design is so amazing! It feels very much like it's own set of characters. I really think Taylor should be included in the fire sides to provide insight into the call backs and editing choices. Please!?
Jason Leigh
There are a lot of weeks between episodes so I need some help to remember stuff. Just finished episode 53. 1) Where did the piece of sea glass come from and what was its importance? 2) The party split up to go to the location referenced in the Stars book and apartment 28 which is the place Yorin told Sky about; How does going to either location connect with helping out Ghost & Flicker? Are they in the citadel? I ask because it was communicated that Sky found that a priority but the accomplished tasks seem to be more about discovering the nature of the curse + getting lore on Soft & Stone. 3) How did Task the Spider get all of this footage of Soft & Stone? Where was he that he was able to do so?
The Wizard Scalpel
There are a lot of fan created playlists where people have done just that. In fact here's mine: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3jW9AwZma23Oth0KyZq6ls
Worlds Beyond Number
No.
KamasiFitzgerald
Consider this my formal request to double the character limit on the Fireside question form 😤 how am I supposed to quote something teased in an earlier fireside chat and ask for clarification now that story fruit has come to bear in the space used for a TWEET? Ily I beg u pls
Jesse Long
Is there a way to get the fireside to merge with the public episodes in Spotify? It current seems to set up as a fireside only Playlist and then a separate public episode only Playlist. Its mostly just annoying if im in the car trying to switch on the dash between both while driving
Jeremy Elbourn
FYI this fireside episode is currently over 1 Gb. They're usually much smaller, so I suspect there may be something amiss with the encoding.
Worlds Beyond Number
Hey Jeremy! This is answered in the FAQ above: Do I Need to Subscribe to the Public Feed and the Fireside Feed?
Jeremy F
Will the main episodes of the podcast be added to Patreon rather than just the Fireside Chats/additional content? Or just out of curiosity, what's the reason for not uploading them here as well?
Shalea Rhodes
They're added to the posts here on the Patreon as they become available.
Erel Michaelis
Where can we access episode transcriptions?
Stephanie Heinz
Have there been any statements about selling fan merch? I've had a few people express interest in purchasing products based off some fan art I drew, but don't want to monetize anything without permission.
Brandon Carbaugh
WBN has now canonically featured both a dragon and a dungeon.
Old Yeller
I'm starting to have my suspicions
Robert Miller
It’s been driving me crazy. I have asked before and didn’t get an answer. When grandma wren was cursed, she said don’t trust ________. When Ame was uncursed, I don’t recall that blank being filled in. Does anyone know who Wren said?
Henri emmet
knew you courn't trust 23 and me
Skyelar Ginsberg
I hope a similar question hasn't already been asked: can I set some of the dialogue/monologue as a choir piece? Can I submit the piece to composition competitions? What happens if I win a competition with the piece and win a billion dollars ? (Kidding about that amount, but I would never want to do anything that would lead to any amount of monetary gain without getting permission)
Mehmet
May i make the recomendation the creaton of a collection including the homebrew material created?
Aviva
Who wants to bet that question that stumped Erika right at the one hour mark was between the camps where they recorded episodes 43 and 44? haha *spoilers* Brennan's comment about it being a tricky time to ask about the state of Ame with where they are in the campaign and Aabria's reaction... Yeah, how do I find a non-spoilery way to say that Ame is in the clutches of an evil guild mage who wants to flay her face?
Cameron Vincent
Brennan has done ads for them when they released planescape and they’ve played in and run games for their channel as promos for spelljammer and battle for beyond. Pretty sure DnDbeyond even did an interview with the whole group when they announced the show
Aviva
brb, I had no idea that was a thing. For everyone else who was out of the loop... https://screenrant.com/worlds-beyond-number-brennan-lee-mulligan-lou-wilson-aabria-iyengar-erika-ishii-interview/
Aviva
Man. I want to play in Obojima so badly. WotC is a hot mess. I know Aabria has done some interviews with D&D Beyond and I believe posted Suvi's character sheet on it. Do they have a relationship with D&DB beyond (heh) that?
Cameron Vincent
So sorry if this has already been asked, but given the team's relationship with D&D Beyond, has there been any public plans regarding potentially adding the Witch Class to their site at some point? The newly added Obojima book has me itching to play a witch in the setting
Wrex Verdi
Guess who just found the "Filter" button, less then half an hour after posting this? IT ME.
Wrex Verdi
A request - could you tag the posts for the different chapters/arcs so that they are easy to search on here? I am trying to find the patreon only start to the story, and am having a tough time. Thank you!
Kolbjorn
Iiiiii misread this, but I standby what I said for the next one
Kolbjorn
Ooooh I don't think we've ever seen Lou DM! I feel like he would be fun, if he's open to it!
Krissi Carson
Okay, we need more interviews of you all! I just watched the Screen Rant interview and the train lore drop from Lou??? We need more solid interviews so we can get more Lou lore!
some guy whose name isn't bob
Hey, Terry witch of the white whirlwind here, With the end of the chapter comming to it's climax, i lookforward to the Abria campaing. Can we hope, as for a change im DM, for a change in host for our fireside chats? Maybe even the extremely elusive Lou Willson? Looking forward to whatever comes next
Jason Leigh
Abriya; was the spike in Bevin's collar inspired at all by Hemalurgy from the Mistborn series?
Andrew Tuttle
Hey. I tried to redownload the children's adventure on pocket cast, but it said the episode might have been moved or deleted by the creator. Do y'all know if there are any issues with the older episodes on your end?
Stefanucci Mozzarella
Jyoooo, What track jammin' as Fox and Eursalon cruising on the airship as they leanin' back in their chairs?
Heidi Jackson
Hey! Hi. This is a longer question that the submittal form allows. I've been listening to the Fireside chats and they are literally a Master Class on the art and craft of Storytelling. As a writer, I would pay so much money to listen to Brennan and the bunch speak at length about just storytelling. I imagine you are all beyond busy with other projects but please know that if you ever wanted to just talk for days about the art and craft of storytelling, I would listen at nearly any price. Love yall! Crackle crackle! p.s. I am desperate for a Fox stuffy. Please never stop making them :) I know I'll never see the link in time to get one when the next merch drop happens.
Myrm Greywitch

Kate Brusk - CityMouse
Also having pocketcast issues. I fully unsubscribed, cleared my listening cache, uninstalled, and now the feed only has the first episode.
Anonimouse
Same here
Mneme
I'm also having the Pocket Cast issue and I tried deleting and adding to no avail 🥲
Talon Romave
While it was not written it was gone over in the children’s adventure talkback I’d suggest writing it out because they contradict themselves while trying to remember but it should be all there
Joseph
The last time something similar happened to me, it was resolved by deleting and re-adding the feed to Pocket Casts.
M Crabtree
I'm still having an issue with Pocket Casts not getting the latest episodes. Stopped getting new ones after Fireside chat for episode 29
Whyse Wytch
One question: Bone Cone merch when?
Lillie Rose
I came here looking for this as well! Seems like a cool system, I’d love to give it a shot.
Sajaa Elyaman
I am a new gm that wishes to run a campaign for a couple of my friends. Is there any way I can get access to the character creator guidelines that they went over in the children’s adventures?
DorkLady
Taylor! OST whennnn my good good guy!!
Worlds Beyond Number
Apple's new policy doesn't effect existing subscriptions, and since we don't use "first of the month" or "per-creation" billing, none of our operations will be effected either. You don't need to take any action, and your Patreon experience will not change. Like all other Patreon creators, we'll encourage new signups on iOS to use a desktop computer or their mobile web browser to join the Fireside without Apple's ridiculous fees, but other than that, what's to mention? Let me know if I've missed anything! -t

I've been a BeyondPod user for like 14 years. It's always been great for me. There is a free version and a paid version which is just a one-time google play store purchase of an unlock key (back in the day it was $5), not a subscription! It's wonderful.
Cubaline
I think they mentioned Podcast Addict working for Android users! I haven’t used them, but it looks like WBN is regularly uploaded there.
DatGeekUKnow
I've also done this, works like a charm.
Whyse Wytch
I've linked my Patreon and Spotify and it works fantastically.
Kezzym
Hey guys. I just subscribed and started listening to the children adventures. Now pocket cast says that the author moved or deleted the podcast ;o Have you guys stopped working with them? Do you have any other ideas for good podcast apps on android?
Cody Zimmer
Wish I could search the comments with a search bar so I'm not asking the same question as others, but will you be linking the patreon to Spotify like NaDDPod does? So that I can listen to everything there, and not have to switch between platforms and not be certain if I've missed listening to something.
organicmelon
If you don't mind, why isn't there an option to subscribe annually?

Erika and Aabria are the most active and generally use IG, might use threads, and used to use Twitter. Lou wasn't really on socials much in the past (maybe at all?) but has an IG. World's beyond number also has an IG. They're all also on dropout to various extents.
Thisjus10
I believe he said that he was winging it, But it's not too dissimilar to an older method of character creation where you start with level 0 D&D characters (that you should be able to look up)
Thisjus10
The main pod is public, but I'd assume that at the end of the month you'd loose access to the stuff only on patreon. (Generally how it works on patreon)
Thisjus10
I wanted to put this out there as it's own comment too but I'd love for YouTube music to get the pod when everything else does (that's absorbed google podcasts) everything else is perfect tho lol
Thisjus10
the issue now is that YouTube music is where google podcasts went so everyone who used that and still listens as a podcast has to weight. Which isn't fun. I've even tried using other platforms and it just really doesn't work. Ads, apps with in app purchases, or in the case of simple cast just pausing every 9 mins, additional subscriptions to companies I don't want to support ect. Now I'm basically frustrated every time an episode comes out. (I know I can just wait but I have a hard time changing my schedule, and I'm also excited to listen)
Thisjus10
not a huge deal but there's no C as in Erika! (It's nice to get people's names right and just takes a little extra effort)
Heliks
Probably because the show is developed for podcasting, so statistically they want to drive the most attention to it in that format. If you search "popular DND podcast" the people who are strictly listening on youtube aren't going to drive the numbers on that popularity. Plus, I'd imagine there are a few extra steps to get it to youtube. Podcasting typically uses RSS, so you can push it from one location and it'll be syndicated on multiple platforms, where youtube they'd need a separate, secondary process. So TLDR: for the SEO, for maintaining the brand (being a podcast, hosted wherever you listen to podcasts), and ease.
Dyl
Why is it that the youtube releases are so much later than the podcatchers?
Lauren Flynn
I ran out of room to compliment Erika ;_; Erika, I appreciate your absolute rambunctious energy. You always push forward the game in such a rewarding and involved way. I adore you all
Kael McDonald
It does end your access, yeah. It happened to me as well when I had to end my subscription for a while after the Children's Adventure came out. That said, if you have downloaded existing episodes to your device I *think* those would remain? Don't quote me on that though! Podcast apps are finicky, esoteric creatures. A bit spirit-like, if we're being honest.
Abby
Hi! Does anyone know if you unsubscribe if you lose the backlog of episodes you gained access to while you were subscribed? i have a lot to catch up on it doesn’t super make sense to keep paying for new content when i’m so many months behind but am worried i won’t be able to listen to the fireside’s without being an active subscriber.
Kael McDonald
Sorry if this is answered elsewhere, but I'm having no luck: Does Taylor Moore have his music anywhere to listen to (on infinite repeat)? I'm absolutely obsessed with the music in the show and if Taylor has a Bandcamp or Spotify page I'm just not tracking down I'd sure appreciate a helpful point in the right direction! <3
Avaria
Not sure if this has been asked, but I didn't see anything within the last 8 months, so... Now that we've started into Arc 3 of WWW and the number of individual posts on the site is rapidly growing, any chance of seeing anything under the Collections tab here on Patreon? (Maybe: Children's Adventure; WWW Arc 1, Arc 2, Arc 3; Shorter Stuff; & Bon[e] Con[e]?) It would make binging and revisits easier. Thanks for everything! It's wonderful!
starshade
I feel like it's worth pointing out that with Spotify and Patreon integrations, as well as the Fireside itself being accessible through Spotify, it would probably be good to ammend the information on this post (or make a new one!)
Jesse de Vries
I believe they mention it in one of the earlier firesides. Children's Adventure Roundup, maybe? Good luck!
Robert Miller
Potential Spoilers I do not know where to ask this, but in the episode where Grandma Wren dies she tells Ame not to trust…, but the curse prevents Ame from hearing who she shouldn’t trust. When the curse is broken we get a lot of what was hidden by the curse, but I don’t think we go back to that scene to hear what Grandma Wren said. Is that true? Or did I miss something where we get that info?
Hex Sharpe
If you get a PO box set up I will send you fan art! It will be a normal amount of fan art but only because things take time to make and not because I have a normal amount of feelings about this podcast!
Kater Trippe
Is Brennan cosplaying Ursalon in the first episode of Dungeons & Drag Queens?
Cory
Why did you choose not to put the public episodes in the Patreon feed as well? I'm sure there is a good practical/financial reason but unfortunately for me all those other sites are blocked on my work computer and I am desperate to catch up!
DarthDrew
Came here to ask this, would love to be able to do this for my home game!
Cur
How do I tip you? Usually there's a way...
Christopher Huffman
I forget, is an explanation for how brennan did the leveling and stats stuff throughout the child campaign available somewhere?
Cur
I just want to mention that we are 40% of the way to hearing the wolf story...
It looks like there are no transcripts posted for the last 2 episodes (17 + 18) Is that an intentional shift away from doing transcripts (for time/bandwidth reasons) or a clerical error?
Jack Barlow
Aabria definitely has a tumblr (quiddie) and is, as I understand it, pretty active. I think Erika does too, but I’m not sure.
HyzentheThrearoo
I don't know about spotify but it's always been available on pocketcasts!

Following the tumblr! I will go find the youtube. Thank you, friend!! ...I do mean the wbn tumblr. If Aabria or Lou or Erika or Brennan or Taylor have tumblrs, please give me links. Please.
Cheese
They have an official youtube and tumblr now as well!
Cur
I appreciate the suggestion and the effort, thank you! Unfortunately I also loathe Twitter. I'll do any other social media but it got too crazy over there.
Nathan Cheetham
Aabria is pretty active on Twitter, and Erika posts there too. Brennan and Lou are fairly offline in comparison
Mo Ryan
Now that Spotify is allowing people to link their accounts to patreon will the fireside be available on Spotify anytime soon?
Cur
I have them on insta as people but insta is garbage at giving me what I want.
Lydia Fayre
I found out via instagram, but I found the whole linking factor in their promotion frustrating for awhile. I couldn't actually find my way to the patreon until I put in some effort. Which felt...Like take my money, ok? Come on. But also I think it just says something about how weirdly difficult spreading news can be in this society where we have nearly infinite ways to proliferate news but all of the social sites function in really sucktastic ways.
Cur
Ok but stupid question time: how do I follow this group of people better just generally? I didn't find out WBN was a thing until EPISODE 18. I love them all so much I'm just inept.
chad drake
I guess my question is how long until you release the ost, I need the great bear parade now plz
Zigmund Fox
It's above in the pinned message, but for your convenience: https://forms.gle/S8paSygMkh3P4SZJ6
Olivia Cook.
Where can we ask questions for the fireside? I want to know if we will get the citadel wizard subclass
Shannon
Hey Spencer! We have a page with DFTBA, currently stocked with two enamel pin options - one of which is exclusive to Patreon subscribers. See more info here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/wbn-merch-90322514 We're definitely planning on expanding merch options, so keep your eyes peeled, and thank you for your continued support!
Spencer Morgan
Is there a merch shop, do you plan to have an official merch shop?
Tash
Yeah I meant the ones that they add in like I was just listening to ep 3 again and Taylor was advertising the patreon, which I get but I don't love that it's midroll for me like beginning of end is fine so I was wondering if they were gonna do a patreon version of the pod without those
Thom Scullion
I've made a plea for more Bag It or Tag It here, let's amplify our message, we want more! https://www.reddit.com/r/WorldsBeyondNumber/comments/17z6nz4/spoilers_bag_it_or_tag_it_our_collective_plea_for/
SvenTS
That gets added in by Spotify, if you listen via other methods it's still ad-free (other than when they do their own fun ads).
Tash
Hey now that there are being mid roll ads on the Spotify feeds for the main episodes are there plans for the podcast to be put on patreon without the midroll ads? I understand the need for advertising I just prefer not to have it
Josh M. & Jen H.
Oh, sorry! No worries!
Worlds Beyond Number
We recommend not using Google podcasts, because it is very unreliable and bad.
Josh M. & Jen H.
Trying to listen via Google Podcasts and getting an error on this episode, but none others. Can and will listen on YouTube, but thought I'd report it in case it's something someone else runs into.
yehuda yesh
I'm glad I wasn't drinking when I read your new answer to that question, because I would have spit it out all over my computer!
Worlds Beyond Number
Well that makes two of us silly.
Anton Spohn
Thanks T! Missed it between "How often" & "Weird Sound". Appreciate all your hard work. Also, for anyone reading: The form link doesn't work on the new Patreon App, but does on browser.
yehuda yesh
I feel silly for saying this but I imagine, Taylor, you aren't checking this FAQ daily to see if it needs updating (right? RIGHT!?) - You recently released the witch class for Patrons, which is awesome. And a good nod towards becoming a Patron. The final question in the FAQ could probably use that tweak 😅. Otherwise you're all doing such an AWESOME job and bringing so much genuine joy to my life so thank you!!! Big hugs to all.
Megan
If you’re familiar with creating a station on Apple Podcasts it’s the same! I’ve broken down the steps below: 1. Add both the Public WBN feed and the Fireside feed to your subscribed shows in Apple Podcasts 2. Go into Apple Podcasts “Library” at the bottom of your screen (if you’re not already there) 3. Click the three dots in the top right corner 4. Select “New Station” 5. Name your station whatever you wish, and hit “Save” (You can always change this later, mine is just WBN) 6. Station settings: -Name: Already made by you, can be changed at any time -Play: To *start* I recommend “Oldest to Newest” so you see everything in chronological release order. You can fine tune this later as you get comfortable. -Group by Show: Toggled “OFF” -Episodes: Again, to *start* I recommend “All” if you’re trying to get it sorted out and/or playing catch-up in any way as imo it’s easier to customize if you have it all there organized for you. This can also be fine-tuned later! -Media Type: Up to you, mine is set to “All” so if there’s any future video content I’ll see it, but as of right now either choice presented in the menu doesn’t make a difference tbh. -Hide Played Episodes: One last time, *to start* I recommend having this toggled “OFF” to make fine-tuning easier! 7. Podcasts: Select “Choose Podcasts” & select BOTH WBN & the Fireside feed from the list 8. Hit “Done” in the top right corner. And that’s the gist! After that you should see what looks *essentially* like a playlist of all the eps from both feeds, in release order for BOTH shows flowing nicely into your station! What’s great is the station will automatically update as new eps are added to each feed, so you don’t have to redo this or manually add anything / worry that you’ve missed it! This is already an *incredibly* long response so I’ll leave another comment in a bit with details re: fine tuning some settings if you wanted to customize what you see a bit further! LMK if you have any questions, & I hope this helps!
Mike Chapman
50,000 member stretch goal. UrsulEagle/KitsAme/SuviBunny one-shot.
Just_another_queer
would love the rundown on how you managed that please
Megan
Just here to say I *finally* figured out the cleanest (read: and easiest) way to get WBN and Fireside to sync & play both feeds in tandem AND release order on Apple Podcasts if anyone needs help doing so! I joined this amazing party late and am therefore playing catchup on this *incredible* content, so getting both feeds to sync up and play in release order, one right after the other (a la D20 Complete Adventure campaigns on Dropout) was a bit of a stickler for me in the Apple Podcasts app. But we did it! So if you’re new like me, and want some help finagling your device feel free to reach out! WBN team, y’all are fucking killing it. 1000000/10 would recommend until the end of time. 💜💜💜

Saying hi to my Fireside Fireflies 🕯Would love an annual pay option if ever possible 🩵
Worlds Beyond Number
That question is answered in the very post you are commenting on! Behold! -t
Anton Spohn
Is there a particular process for asking Fireside questions? Edit: Answered!
SvenTS
Not all begin with S - we've met Galani and the latest episode mentioned another G name as well. It does seem either departmental, hierarchical, or both.
god himself
question for brennan/whoever might know! is there a reason wizard cloak names all begin with an S? soft, stone, steel, silence, now silver and sky? is the answer a spoiler? am i allowed to ask?
Daniel Neville
Can we get tshirts with some of the children's campaign art on them? That would be dope af
Pepe Dorito
If you're listening to the pod on Patreon and just want to get away from the redesign, you can copy the link in one of the WBN Patreon tabs into a podcatcher app like PodBean, which means you can listen to all the good stuff without the inconvenience of patreon.
Worlds Beyond Number
Hey Kyle, currently the only way to support Worlds Beyond Number is here via the Patreon. Thanks for being here, hope you choose to stay with us! -t
Kyle Rudy
Are there alternate methods of supporting the podcast? I'm in love with the product, but Patreon itself has made some awful redesign decisions lately. I'd like to delete my account and provide support through some other medium, if I can.
Hex Sharpe
I am trying to make more and more and more fanart, and it would help a LOT if we could see a map! Even a vague rough map of Akham would help. I'm good at visualizing details but terrible at relational positioning (my mental maps tend to place everything in the same direction from the starting point, I don't know why) and I want to get things at least kind of accurate in terms of like, which side of Grandma Wren's house is the road, which coast of Akham are things happening on, etc. Also if you give us a rough map I'll make a pretty one. DM me whatever hand-drawn thing you're working with if you must, I just need some idea of where things are in relation to each other. I know you're busy people, not trying to rush if this is already in the pipeline, just letting you know why this would be helpful to your friendly local fan artist.
Danny Black
Just a little love for the transcription team. Hope everything sorts itself out soon, gang. <3
Jordan Cummins
i feel really dumb remembering i wrote all this. talk about making a huge deal out of nothing. Genuinely regret being so weird. thanks again for the episode and the lovely show you make
vvitch
As a creator on fiverr I would be curious about some of this, but does the use of fiverr really matter if the pay was a 'fair' amount and agreed upon by both parties? Of course it is another website like doordash, uber or airbnb, a middleman that does not own any of the property/talent it is selling but takes a cut anyway, aka a staple of this capitalist hell. But there is no ethical consumption under capitalism, and using or not using it doesnt change the underlying problematic structure of producing commodities via wage-labor for a profit. In a way, no amount paid would ever be 'fair'. Some of your money via the patreon is going to this website, which promotes what you said, but the rest of your money is likely going to be promoting the same thing just at different sources, because thats how the system works. Unethical companies outcompete 'ethical' ones in the end because they draw more profit, and buying ethical helps only marginally. So yall, I'd say if you have a problem with all of this pick up a brick, or at least vote, support your community, protest, volunteer. Shopping somewhere else wont really help in comparison. I hope the creators were paid fairly, but knowing the crew I am not worried.
Justin Melillo
What a silly, pointless reply to an incredibly thoughtful comment. Consider who does and does not require your advocacy.
Jordan Cummins
They acknowledge that in their comment here, @CJ. I think he was asking "Is the extra metrics bump worth the (admittedly very slight) inconvenience of patrons having to use multiple feeds. A fair question, I think
Jordan Cummins
Can you explain the joke to me? I thought the first paragraph was a genuine wish (even though of course a joke as they'd never do that) Whereas the second para was criticising a rival WBN fan-fic/art page in the second one for creating/using non-consensual AI generated sexual images/vidos I'm so confused lol. I'm sure it very-well could be a yikes comment. But I don't even understand it enough to criticise.
Jordan Cummins
Worlds Beyond Number
1) NO. All my creative choices are random and arbitrary. 2) YES. I made it! Happy and honored that you like it! -t
god himself
taylor! i have two questions if that's okay. 1, is there a particular reason the citadel/empire's theme is "roll the old chariot along"? 2, did you make the big blustery version of it in the show yourself or is it floating around somewhere online?
CJ
I would assume they do that for their metrics within podcast apps. If all their patrons have the main podcast in their individual private feeds, then those listens will not count towards their rankings within podcast charts, thus reducing their reach.
Matthias Havrez
I mean, both are sincere questions, you know what I mean ^^
Matthias Havrez
I understand the strategy of releasing only private content on the private feed. But for a Patreon funded podcast, is it really necessary to not release the episodes in the private feed too, so that us, paying customers, can have only 1 feed to subscribe to ? Is the financial and business potential of having the numbers go up as much as possible on the public feed worth the kinda bothersome experience for paying listeners ? Because I would really really love to have just 1 feed with public and private episodes airing in the correct order and in only one feed. My second question is a sincere question. Did you sum it all up and found out that yes, it was worth it to be discovered naturally through podcast research, rather than have any person of the cast tweet a call to action from time to time ?
Worlds Beyond Number
Why the answer is as close as the body of the post upon which you are commenting!
Noah Mead
I really apologize if this has been answered somewhere, I can't seem to find it, but where do we ask questions for the fireside chats? Just under recent episode posts or is there a specific place to put them?
Worlds Beyond Number
The first set is out now! Why, simply scroll down my friends.
Jackson andrew Manning
They mentioned those will be released throughout the week so I don’t believe they are out yet!
Kenji Magrann-Wells
Hello! I can't find the music playlists each of the members put out for their characters. Where those at?
Stephanie Joy
Please please please get a PO Box so fans can send art and stuff! Please!!
A Kid From Kansas
Was hoping to ask a question for the Fireside, but it appears the form linked above is closed. Anyone know if that is temporary or if we all got too enthusiastic and they had to shut it off? :>
Agiddysea
Yikes to this joke, babe. Just yikes.
Brian Reardon
Could we possibly get an ETA on when they will be releasing The Worlds Beyond Numbers Only Fans page? No rush, I'm pretty active member on the Imgur's 2nd largest WBN Erotica page. So I've got enough content to hold me over. But I know the fans would really appreciate it. P.S. Don't worry, unlike that other WBN erotica page (we all know who I'm talking about), we're strictly a drawings only page. Just because we've got a kink doesn't mean that we don't understand that photoshoping peoples heads and bodies with out their permission is a violation of their anatomic atonomy or that AI generated erotic images of Brenan covered in nothing but almonds is taking jobs away from actual artists.
Greyson Granger
Is there any chance y'all will enable the patreon integration with spotify so patrons who have their accounts linked can listen to the patron-only content over there?
Drew
Do you have a PO box for fans to send things to you?
Worlds Beyond Number
Very good catch, thank you! -t
Rebecca McLaughlin
FYI the tags seem to be case sensitive so the public ep 9 of www is tagged as 'www' instead of 'WWW'

Instead of a normal party of edgelords, this one is full of edginglords. Having to wait a fortnight to finish! Good Lawd, you shameless tease.

Might not be a question but it's definitely frequently asked
Nathan Snyder
How daaaaare you end the episode there. How DAAAARE you.
Martin Widding
This is the best podcast I've ever heard, the wait between episodes is sweet torture, but undeniably worth it!
Windsock
but there's a fireside chat every off week!
MeatyTamale
Awesome! Looking forward to it.
Worlds Beyond Number
DEF wanna release a soundtrack at some point! We will certainly announce it here when we have a date. -t
MeatyTamale
Is there any chance that we'll get access to some of the soundtrack that was used? I would love to have the orchestral version of Roll the Old Chariot Along from Suvi's (re)introduction in episode 1 for various piratical adventures. Also Edit just because I forgot to give proper compliments to the amazing sound design in the podcast so far. It's been simply "Incredible."
Agiddysea
They're busy people with busy lives, babe.
Alec Simkiss
Hello! I was wondering when, besides one shots, when we were going to get more content? The two week wait with the average hour and 30 minute episode run time is killing me with the way y'all pace things!
Danny Black
Just a heads up that transcripts haven't appeared on Simplecast since #6 Fresh Fish. Maybe you know that already, but if you didn't, you've got a hitch in your gitalong.
ben
I think they mentioned they didn't want to release it until Ame levels up at least once, so it might be a while.
Michael Goldberg
Any ETA on when we will get the Witch Class to play with? Very much want to bring that into some of my campaigns. :)
CaptLizianthus
iirc They aren’t dropping a map yet because the PCs don’t know all of the world’s geography and as Aabria said, she’d be too tempted to study it.
Worlds Beyond Number
No worries, I get it.. Every time I open tiktok I feel like a zombie crawling out of an open grave and stumbling into a group of scared teens. -t
Laura Jane Hamilton
Thanks! This has worked perfectly. I just... feel old lol
Worlds Beyond Number
Hey Laura! You can download the audio from the Fireside feed with many different podcatching apps! Check out the instructions and recommendations in the body of the post for more help. -t
Aaron Hapgood
Hi it says theres music playlists to listen to, where can i check that out?
RockmanQQ
Thank you!
Worlds Beyond Number
As long as they're short! Let's say under 3 minutes? -t
Laura Jane Hamilton
Are we not able to download episodes from Patreon anymore?
RockmanQQ
I'm an artist - Would it be acceptable to make short and share animatics with audio clips from the patreon content (im in love with the children's campaign), or would it be against the rules to not share the locked content? I ask only because discovering clips from live plays has helped me find a lot of wonderful stories I wasn't aware of, and may be the same for others to find WWWO. No trouble either way!
Please release the Witch class! <3
luke davin
Do you guys enjoy making other people cry? Are you just very fussy sadists?
Dorian Zimmerman
I'm sure this is a very frequent FAQ... but how the hell are you all so AWESOME?!
Alexander StHilaire
I'm sure someone has asked, but is there a MAP? I love a good D&D map and I crave to know more about the world!
SvenTS
Nothing official (hopefully with a 'yet' after that). They're always welcome on the reddit or the discords though.
G&M
Is the a place to post fan art: music, pictures, fanfic, recipes?
Loracle the Oracle
Will y’all offer add free eps on patreon at some point? It’ll be nice to have eps and fireside in one place instead of having to switch back and forth.
Jason G. Rheins
I'm also very excited to see the class. The discussion of its development in one of the fireside chats made it seem very well thought out as a distinct kind of character, and I really liked how it drew on various folk traditions and mythologies to get at the basic idea of what a witch and a witch's powers are.
BardicDesperation
my guess is they'll wait until some of the Fun Stuff gets to shine in game. Not until if/when they reach lvl 20, but still a bit more. Also, this counts as playtesting, so who knows, maybe they'll tweak a few things!
Terra Riley
I am FROTHING at the mouth to see it.
Titus Weikal
Okay that’s funny lmao
Titus Weikal
What are you referring to?
Pala
Are there any updates on an estimate of the witch class ?
Michał Zaborniak
Man, your take on BORG was not ideal...
SvenTS
For anyone who was waiting the Appendix has (finally) been updated with the public episodes. Sorry for the delays: https://www.patreon.com/posts/78434026 (Public and free, just as a hosting platform) Obviously spoilers abound so do not reference any episode you have not yet listened to if you wish to avoid them.
Stephanie Heinz
Thank you! I checked the episode notes in my podcast app but didn't think to check the Patreon posts themselves. I've been picturing the entire Children's arc as a graphic novel and am excited to be able to reference the transcript for my doodles :)
Worlds Beyond Number
Hey Stephanie! Yes! You can find links to transcripts in the show notes of every public episode, and attached to the Patreon post of every Fireside episode. -t
Stephanie Heinz
Are there transcripts of episodes available or is there any plan to make them available?
Worlds Beyond Number
Hey there Arjun! You are correct. If you'll just scroll up and click "continue reading" on the Instruction Manual, you can find all the info and tips, along with recommended apps, to get all the right audio in the right place. Hope this helps! -t
Amanda Butler
I believe that is indeed the case. They're two separate feeds in Podcast Addict. I do wish there were posts here in the Patreon where we could leave comments about regular episodes.
Arjun Ahluwalia
The patreon is weird. Im looking for the latest episode and patreon keeps showing the fireside chats, and not the episodes. The Charter, which is the latest episode, popped up in spotify, but im having a hard time navigating here to find anything. Its the patreon strictly for extra content, and the main plotline is going to be via podcast apps?
Preston Evans
LEAVE THE MAC SIDE, ITS THE DARK SIDE!! Know the light side thru Ableton on a PC!!!
Katie Meyer
Remember - the main show isn't available on Patreon - but wherever pods are cast. E3 is out.
Stephen Paul
Silly Pro tools, I don’t understand his pain but I empathize
SvenTS
Yeah Pro Tools attacked Taylor again so there was a delay but it's up now.
Stephen Paul
It’s not on Spotify. Edit: just checked and it’s now on Spotify.
Tammie Foster
its on the main feed :)
Stephen Paul
I didn’t see anything when I woke up
Ammon the Average
No episode this week?
Katie Meyer
Worlds By Number - - - Count Taylor. ;)
Worlds Beyond Number
Hmmm, tricky problem. The addition of the fireside and cast portraits are not enough to visually distinguish the two feeds quickly for some people, but if I were to make a big change abruptly I'd have thousands of complaints and DMs asking where the Fireside feed went. Fear not. I have a solution. Gonna take about 6-8 weeks to fully implement, but I'm going to slowly fade in a higher contrast Fireside Feed art design that should let your eye pick it out more cleanly while not alienating people who are accustomed to the current design. Has a podcaster attempted this before? I don't care. I demand to be called things like "pioneer" "innovator" and...dare I? Yes, "hero." To my future biographers, don't forget I am also humble! -t
Andi M. Kraxberger
Couldn't agree more with Jason on the whole cover front. Even better idea: just post the Episodes NADDPOD-style ALSO on the private feed, that way we can "unfollow" the public one, and noone needs to change the designs. ;)
Jason
Yeah, I've tried a few times with Apple Podcast and ep 2 just is not showing up. It's so strange. I tried another pod catcher and it's there, so weird! Also pretty please change the album cover for the public/private feed. :)
Ade Munroe
I agree with this, I don't know how many times I've clicked the wrong one when going back to relisten to an episode.... heck, I'll take a simple photoshop color hue shift! XD
Worlds Beyond Number
Hey Jason! Just confirmed episode 2 is alive and well, including on Apple Podcasts. Like we say in the instruction manual, most podcast tech issues can be resolved with fiddling (or sometimes changing) the podcatching app, which is not something we can change on our end. Maybe you accidentally deleted the ep or marked it as played? I've certainly done that myself several times. -t
Jason
For what it's worth, I don't see episode 2 on Apple Podcasts either. I just unfollowed/followed and it's not there. Also recommendation to change the cover art between the public/private feeds. Since we need both, it would be great if there was a better visual difference. It's a bit confusing.
LemonBee
Ouch :( was definitely already doing that and definitely could not see the episode at the time 😔
Ruby
WRT Patreon and credit cards - some years ago Patreon suddenly couldn't process my cc. I tried different card. Same thing. I reached out to support. Nothing. So I deleted my account. If Patreon can't run your card it might not have anything to do with your card. Maybe it was a bug that's been fixed or maybe because it showed up as declined by cc, no one figured it needed to be fixed.
Ruby
For those who are Audible members, you can just follow the worlds beyond number podcast without using the link. Episode 2 shows up after selecting show all.
Worlds Beyond Number
Nothing we can do about it, except recommend that people don't use Google Podcast, which we do, in the very post you are commenting upon. Good luck out there! -t
Worlds Beyond Number
Hey there LemonBee, read the post you're commenting on for instructions on how to use the podcast feed and where to find alllll that sweet sweet audio. -t
Michael Walker
Sadly WWW ep2 not working for me on Google podcasts either
LemonBee
Y'all can see episode two?
Carolyn Golden
I listened to it via Google podcasts and didn't have a problem. So not a universal experience at least.
Pat Mac
Hey yall, I think episode 2 might be broken on Google Podcasts, I can get the other episodes to play, and it works on Spotify, but not on the Google Podcast app
Worlds Beyond Number
Love to see our little instruction book working as intended. Via con dios, mi amore! -t

I just realized I have to go to a separate location to see the non-patreon content. Whoops!

I am so so excited to be apart of this. Honestly this is some of the best storytelling in fantasy, period! I am in awe with all of you and am so inspired by all that you create. What a masterpiece this is!

If there's no official discord then I think the normal episodes should be uploaded here too so that people can talk without worry of spoiling the child's campaign for non patreons

Ok awesome thanks! Is it after the section from Then & Now or during it?
SvenTS
The second episode of the main campaign.
Olivia Buse
Which episode are you talking about? Children’s adventure episode 2?
Merissa McClure
Can you share your TikTok name, because that sounds awesome
SvenTS
Heads up that the Eursolon section in the second episode includes material that was not included in the Then and Now preview episode. So don't skip it or you will miss out.
Worlds Beyond Number
I think it's okay as long as they are under a minute long and you make it super clear that it's from the WBN patreon, which rules. I've been hoping for some animations on the tiktok so this is super exciting, cant wait to see them!! -t
Bibbles
Am I allowed to post tiktoks of sound snippets from the children’s adventure (or content from the patreon in general)? I want to animate some scenes but I don’t want to share if that’s not allowed.
Zero Angel
We super do have the word, people just get weird with their choices. More confusing by far for me is semiannual vs biannual vs bienniel. I'm always going with fortnight if it's every two weeks (or will just say every two weeks).
Worlds Beyond Number
See you on the inside ;)
MrMach6
You’re a saint. I saw that there was no server but I didn’t think that covered whether there would be one coming soon. Happy to see the fans showing the initiative!

Does anyone know if and when WBN is gonna get a discord server up? I want a dedicated space to discuss the show. Cuz like if they're not gonna make an official one I'm just gonna make an unofficial one. The fans need a space to be fans.
Jack Eden
Today I learned that Americans don't really have the word 'fortnight' and that bi-weekly can confusingly mean both 'twice a week' and 'every two weeks'.
alyssa baginski
thank you!
Worlds Beyond Number
No. That would actually be more complicated for us, and much less secure. However, we are considering posting our public main feed content to youtube as well, as is more and more common for many shows these days. So if you're more at home on YouTube, you might be able to see us there soon! -t
Worlds Beyond Number

Hey, love the stuff. Would you make a hidden youtube channel and make the content accessible via linking to that? It'd be alot easier than messing around with these podcast feed apps for the sake of one show.
Katie Hopkins
Yeah I was wondering which day of the week seems like it's Tuesday
Brandon Carbaugh
Alternating biweekly is my understanding. Episode, fireside, episode, fireside. On the bright side, it seems (from how long it's been in the works) that they've been playing for a while, so I imagine it'll be pretty consistent.
dara
hi!! sorry to jump in here but do you know how i can join the discord? i would love to be able to chat to people about this amazing show!!
Strangian
If you join the unofficial discord, they have a zone for patrons only that you can use to chat with people once you get the corresponding role :)
Haisley
I know Taylor said the next Fireside chat is scheduled for a Tuesday drop and they're supposed to be bi-weekly. However, they're an incredibly small team so it may not be exactly perfect, at the same time every week.
Katie Hopkins
Which day of the week will episodes be dropping?
Joel Arndt
Oh oh oh, can we have discussion posts for each main episode? Don't need the audio, but it would be fun to have a dedicated discussion space with all the patrons.
Worlds Beyond Number

I am gonna join in with all the other people saying I would REALLY like episodes of the main campaign to be released here as well. Following two feeds is kind of annoying, but more importantly, I like to download episodes onto my computer, not just have them temporarily on my phone, and I can't do that (or at least I can't figure out how to do that) if they're not on patreon.
Scooby
Will the public episodes of the maincampaign have transcripts to read as well or just the Child one?
Evan
Episode 1 of the podcast is SO DAMNED GOOD. Next week cannot come soon enough. Perfection.

I'm loving the podcast and all I'm paying for on patreon and hope to be a subscriber for a long time. As feedback (and I say this gently and with love), It's kinda weird that main episodes are not uploaded here too. It just makes the experience of having the feed more cohesive. If this is because of download numbers, etc, that's fine and I get it, and it's not hard to adjust, but just the fact that many of us had to come back to this post to check that speaks to something that may have to be better communicated. Hope that makes sense haha.
Jarno Kolehmainen
Lol Ok. Thought this was the main content, the children's story

The main content is on any podcast app, not here. Just search the name.
Jarno Kolehmainen
I feel dumb asking but missing something. Are both "feeds" still published right here on the Patreon's Posts section? So can I listen to EVERYTHING these guys make right here?
Seth Morton
Wow. I didn't know I needed to download to two feeds. Glad I read this FAQ.
Joel Arndt
I second this sentiment.
Nathan
I agree, I would love to see an outline of this method. Brennan briefly mentions it on twitter: https://twitter.com/BrennanLM/status/1620503149588127744?s=20 ARCADIA 9 by MCDM Productions has a good article called "Filthy Peasants" that's on creating Level Zero characters, I recommend it.
Kye Ehrlich
would love to know how you all went about this character creation if there was an outline how to use this method it is really amazing way of piecemealing together your character creation!
Jessica Culligan
Yes, I just looked at their twitter to confirm. We'll have to listen/subscribe to the public feed to get the public episodes, they will not be available on patreon. Which is a little annoying but our downloads and listens will help them get discovered by people so I'm good with it.
Ethan Scott Baird
Looks like that from what I can tell.
Jason Sansbury
SO the main show episodes are not going to come through on the Fireside feed? We need to subscribe to both?
Anthony Scott
they just tweeted it would be out within the next few hours
Baba Yetu
Yeah it seems it's not out yet. Better follow the Worlds Beyond Number and the Worlds Beyond Number: Fireside feeds though on your podcast app. Probably will pop up at some point!
DisgrunScholar
So I'm confused. It doesn't seem the actual "Episode 1" has dropped on any public feed? Got a bunch of the CA on patreon but not the actual launch?
Jocilyn
The first episode isn’t showing up for me on anything, (apple, Spotify, overcast). I assume there’s technical issues, but is there an ETA?
DorkLady
Will they be posted for download somewhere not tied to an app, like on the WBN site??
Shawn Tienken
I had originally planned on working today, but then 8 episodes dropped. I'm sure my boss will understand...
Worlds Beyond Number
Correct! The patreon, or Fireside feed, is only for patrons. The public feed is free and for everybody.
Murphy Barrett
I am a little bit confused, when you say "public feed" is that something I'm missing on Patreon, or is that referring to things like spotify?
Mistress Arbee
What the hell are you crazy people doing?! Dropping 7 episodes in one go?!?!?! This is MADNESS!
SvenTS
Erika has posted that they'll be doing a live on Instagram in about twenty minutes to precede the episode launch. https://twitter.com/erikaishii/status/1630772995009441792
SvenTS
In her D&D Beyond interview ( https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1751963230 may contain spoilers) Aabria confirms that the main episode drops at midnight (though not which time zone) and that the edited Children's Adventure clocks in around ten hours.
Katie Meyer
"Many will die from too much pleasure. We mourn them already."- https://worldsbeyondnumber.com/ Oh no, I think the fearless fireside friends shall manage. . . together. <3
Alia Ganaposki
Not. Soon. Enough.
Max Washington
March 1st
eddie phlash
March 1! So soon!
Taha Tuncer
When exactly is episode 1 coming out ( and the children stories)
burgundyshark
heck yeah shoebills
SvenTS
Probably already asked and I missed it: Will we continue getting transcripts for the main episodes?
Max Downton
Thanks all!
tashamarie
https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000877506-Add-my-private-RSS-feed-to-the-Apple-Podcast-app This guide worked for me :) Note: the instructions are for iOS, not for macOS, and I couldn't personally find a way to do the process on computer (though your account will sync it across devices once added in the iOS app)
Megan Murphy
Anyone know how to get the SECRET RSS on apple podcasts? I put it in the search bar but that didn't work.
Katie Meyer
THANK YOU! Got it working :) <3
Cody Hoerner
I tried to figure something out for this as well, to no avail. Podcast Addict is great though!
havvin dro
As long as they need to be to tell an effective story I presume ;D
havvin dro
Spotify is not compatiable with RSS feeds because of the way it is coded, you will need to download a different podcast app. On Android I recommend "podacst addict"
Max Downton
Has anyone successfully added the SECRET RSS to Spotify?
Aria Underground
Oh shiiiiiiiit
Worlds Beyond Number
Only time will tell….;) Have a good flight! -taylor
Worlds Beyond Number
All that stuff? That’s what the Children’s Adventure IS. You’re gonna love it.
Jess Norman
Since we have gotten all 3 previews released now, should we be expecting something to come out on Wednesday? Excited for March 1, but I have flights before that 😅
Aria Underground
So I see that Ame's class is going to be released but here's something I'm wwondering about - will the mechanics for the setup of the Child Campaign be releasesd? We know that everyone rolled 2d6 for their stats, but will there be details as to how they chose proficiencies, how they 'levelled up' in the child campaign and how it affected their adult builds? I'd love to see how it came together.
Worlds Beyond Number
I'd LOVE to release some music from the show one day. No idea when, but will absolutely happen! -taylor
Worlds Beyond Number
You haven't missed anything, Joe! These are previews, like long trailers for a movie, so they're just excerpts of the full story to come.
Luke McKay
Will there be anyway to find the music from the podcast? Honestly the music from the "then and now" clips has me so entranced and thinking I won't be able to listen to the music actually makes me sad.
SvenTS
These are just prologues to both the Children's Adventure and the main adventure. So you're not missing anything yet. The child portions cut away after their main introduction and then the adult portions is where they're at, individually, when the adult adventure begins. It seems that adult Suvi and Ame have a bit of adventure before they re-meet Eursolon (though I doubt it's even a full episode's worth - just enough for them to establish their quest and the need to add Eursolon to it). Both the Children's Adventure and the main adventure will start dropping on March 1st.
Joe Mueller
Also, a bit drunk, love the podcast.
Joe Mueller
I am confused if I am missing things. the episode with the witch ends with them not knowing if the wizard makes it in time. Then the wild one does nothing to answer that question. I just want to know if I am missing something or if that was on purpose. Sorry, but I feel like the structure of this patreon was not correctly explained. As someone else mentioned, they feel they missed the children's adventure. I am not sure of the then and now previews are the children's adventure. I am very okay with not knowing what I know I shouldn't know yet, but It is a bit frustrating if I don't know what I shouldn't know yet, if that makes sense.
Genevieve
The point is that there aren't any out yet. There is a one stop shop - both patreon and your podcasts update when new eps go out. Ultimately though, there aren’t any actual eps out till march 1st
Francis Xavier Lally
The children's adventure will be released on March 1st, the same time as the main campaign. The "Then and Now" previews they've been releasing contain excerpts from both the children's adventure and the first episode.
Rod
Did I miss the Children's Adventure or is it not out yet?
Evan
Any estimate of how long the average session is?
Susan T
What an absolute pleasure to listen to! I have to add to the general raving and say that, like the Ghibliesque sensation you're creating with the amazing descriptions (Grandmother Ren's room brought to mind Howl's room from Howl's Moving Castle, but so much more nature based) the food imagery is just perfect - I love Ghibli food and it could almost see the slow bubbles in the juk, the golden viscosity of the egg yolk. Food descriptions give me life!
Erika Abbas Hanna
So gol' dang excited to start listening!
Jordan Cummins
These episodes just fly by it’s incredible. I don’t want them to end! You’re all incredible. The show is perfect and it hasn’t even really started
David Repuri
Agree with this as well rather not have 2 versions of the feed clogging my app
Bluepir
There's something so comforting about the way this is written out TuT My lil anxiety brain was especially happy at 'We won't be mad at you'. THANK YOU TAYLOR
Worlds Beyond Number
Daytime, depending on your time zone ;)
Avaria
I agree with Lou, this is an emotional roller-coaster.
Charisma Teeth
To quote a great man, "YESSAHHH! I bless this union!!!"
Nashara
Is there going to be a set time of day when we can expect releases?
Adrian Griffin
I believe the Then and Now episodes are actually composed of excerpts from both the Children’s Adventure and the main campaign. That actual first episode of the Children’s Adventure will premiere on March 1st right alongside the first episode of the main campaign.
Adrian Griffin
Are y’all planning on having guest PCs on the show? If so, will they be in the main campaign at all or will guest appearances be relegated to one-shots? Who would you be most excited to have on the show with you?
Iridescent Jen
I support this humble suggestion! Simplified accessibility is so helpful.
Orion Delwaterman
How do I listen to the Children's Adventure
Cameron Clemons
It says biweekly if you scroll up, with Fireside chats on weeks between episodes. And in the Fireside chat they said the Witch introduction will be next week, the Wild One the week after, a children campaign episode iirc the week after that, and the first episode of the main show will be in March.
Cameron Clemons
There is literally a section of the FAQ that answers your question lol
Jon Whitehead
I would like to humbly suggest you do release the main episodes here, even if they have ads. Having a one stop shop for your library of content is helpful, convenient, secure, and attractive for the business side as well as the listeners. Ultimately it isn't a big deal, but convenience goes a very long way. Thank you for any consideration.
Robert
Hey I really love what I've heard so far, but the audio sounds a little harsh. Mixing is great, but Lou's mic seems a little harsh. Are there plans to maybe upgrade some audio gear or am I just being picky? Is this just me? Maybe it's just me.
LJ Byers
I think it’s supposed to be released in MAR 2023 if I recall correctly!! @tonks
Tonks
So the public main feed is not available to add to our Podcast libraries yet, correct? I just read that main feed and bonus are two separate feeds.
Worlds Beyond Number
No plans to put the main eps on the Fireside feed at this time, you'll need both feeds to get the "full experience."
Worlds Beyond Number
You can find these reccs in the very post you're commenting on! Overcast for iOS and Pocket Casts and Podcast addict for Android.
Worlds Beyond Number
that question is one of the first questions answered on this very post! seek and ye shall find.
Worlds Beyond Number
Good looking too!
Puck
Will we get main eps through the patreon rss feed, or do we need to subscribe to the public feed?
Worlds Beyond Number
this question is answered in the very post you are commenting on! Seek and ye shall find.
Worlds Beyond Number
Oh yeah we'd love to do lots of little stuff like that. It would just be exhausting to read it all itemized in the tier list, ya know? The cast is super hot on the idea of character playlists, so thats a definite yes. As far as original music, I [taylor here, hello!] definitely wanna release the original score when we have enough to justify a full album. Not sure how yet, but it's absolutely something I'm looking forward to. What I'd REALLY like to do is essentially make two versions of the album, one with polished beginning/middle/end versions of the songs, and then one thats loops and ambiences people can use for home games, or add to their vtt setup!
HypeBear
Did I know this was happening before today? NO. Did this turn a crappy day into a Happy day? YES. Do I now know what I'll be doing with money I save from canceling Netflix? YES... subbing to this and then making my friends fight in a Sword in the Stone style wizard duel so I can work out who to gift a sub to with the rest of the money.
Matiky
i truly appreciate the state bird information so we can all get our bearings. any chance we'll get the overall music playlist, make-up palettes, dice, etc? or maybe that's more by campaign/story...
Rodderick Williams
What is the rough upload plan? Can I find that anywhere? I loved fireside chat and The Wizard: Then and Now! Just can't wait for more
Lilith Evenstar
You are all deeply silly people and I love you for it.
christie botos
Let all of us being here putting our money where our mouth is, be a tangible testament that we love you guys so much, we see and support you and this venture- hope you have the best of time making this work, you guys are amazing ❤️
A cat napping in a sunbeam listening to a podcast
So excited! Thank you for such an entertaining introduction!!
Arlicia McClain
I am so excited! I may be a little too excited.
Tim Broder
The main episodes will be on the fireside feed correct? (With ads?) EG I don’t need to subscribe to 2 feeds?
Griffin
Love the personality in each of these posts. Very excited for what's to come!
atlas guo
so... since we're not getting an official Discord server (totally understandable with a cast full of such busy players with their own lives to attend to!!), I can only hope the WBN team doesn't mind us making our own ~unofficial~ cozy little communities 👀 https://discord.gg/hNacvFtpfW
Don Puzur
They have stated that they will do one-shots with guests and they will be on here. I believe it is in one of their earlier statements
Sarah Peckman
I hope you reconsider putting ad-free or even episodes with adds up on the Patreon, this is my main podcast source. Other than that, I can’t wait!!
Kattttttttttttt
will you guys ever have guests on or will it always just be you 4/5 forever and always
Holly
Will there be any comedy focussed campaigns in the future?
Nahda
Taylor the producer seems fun and lovely ! Thank you for the faq, i was searching the podcast on spotify... I am so happy to support this project !!
Michelle Lawrence
Hope you reconsider and end up putting the main show on the patreon feed! From experience with other shows it’s just so much more convenient having everything in the same place.
Smeth
The app Overcast seems to work good for getting the fireside on iPhone for anyone scanning the comments wondering.
Nellie
When will “The Green Hunter” be available in the Material Plane?
Bobbie_BWang
Unfortunate about the lack of add free episodes on the Patreon, but still VERY happy and excited about this new project, congratulations guys
soyyyyyysauce
When will episodes be released?
Bee Ami
Big agree on the yearly subscription thing
Taha Tuncer
Will the merch be send over mail i dont live in the us how does that work?
Worlds Beyond Number
probably not. Right now we're planning to use exclusively Patreon to handle the Fireside feed.
Worlds Beyond Number
Once things calm down a bit and we're running at a normal pace with release schedules, we're gonna poll all our patrons and ask you what we should make for higher tiers! So our ears are wide open to what you think is the best way to build them
Toby March
Will you be using whatever whatever creator tools Spotify provides for premium content, for those of us who listen to our shows on there?
MT G
Past 10k now!
ronan
will u guys consider making higher tiers or a yearly sub option rather than monthly?
Millie Marrai
Can we please get ad-free, or frankly with ads, episodes on Patreon?
Mikey Ryth
We need 10k for space Cram
Evil Bart
Will we be able to get a look at the Witch class that was created for this campaign?
Athena Lorenzen
They have made it past 9,000 patrons does this mean we are getting a basketball one shot
Oren Cohen
I think once the campaign begins in March, it will be bi-weekly. Now it will be weekly with the previews.
Sam (Mantabel)
How often will the Patreon update?
Dani Barstead
I figured, point still stands though.
SpillboBaggins
I don't think the main feed is published yet.
Dani Barstead
The main feed isn’t listed, even in Overcast. Hopefully yall decide to put them ad-free on the Fireside too.
Don Puzur
Is there no way to get ad-free episodes, even with paying for it? Or is there simply not going to be episodes in this feed at all?
Bryan Gray
The link worked for me in Pocket Casts!
Cydney George-Abatecola
I couldn't even find them on Google podcast.
Kristian Romero
Wait why is Google Podcasts bad? Pocket Casts didn't work with the link, Spotify can't do that, Stitcher didn't seem able to do it, so Google Podcasts was my last ditch effort and it went so smoothly and easily.
fayfrantic
so there is! i hadnt checked, thanks for pointing it out :)
Aaron Swan
Look under the episode, there's a transcript Pdf.
Jessie Jordan
Seconding this! For disability reasons :)
Tonks
Will there be a discord for this show?
fayfrantic
Seeing as it's audio only, are the any plans for episode transcription?
Liv
instagram tried so hard to disconnect me from the live last night but i’m so glad i persevered and got to witness the birth of cram daniels and the coup crew 🏀

If you're on the Dropout discord, there's a thread there.
Mike Chapman
Oh man, thank you so much for explaining how to make this work with podcast apps.
Oz
Part of me likes the idea of an official discord, but I think the patreon community is gonna make up for the lack thereof.
mizellanea
Shoebill best birb
Kato68
It would be awesome to have a patreon exclusive discord where we could do like "watch" parties in a voice chat

I know on the livestream, Erika said he could accept stuff to his PO box and promised to get it to the others, but I'm not sure where they all are in terms of setting up a WBN-specific PO box
Nathan Dunn
Will yall have a PO box? I'm a craftsman i've been designing some things for yall but i'm not sure if there will be a way for me to get anything I make to yall. The cast of this show and even the other projects that they are apart of (I have watched anything I could possibly find with yall's name in it from small ttrpg channels on YouTube to all the big things yall have been apart of) What yall do helps its made bad days better. On the days i've barely held on yall gave me hope. Your representation of mental health Neurodivergence and support of lgbtqia+ have made a huge difference in my life. Your content was the conversation starter that sparked an important friendship. Those people recently comissoned some work from me for their wedding. That comisson has allowed me to pursue my life long dream to become a blacksmith and woodworker. I would like to show my gratitude for all that yall do. Ps Lou you've really taken shit to the next level In Never After your performances have always been stellar but this has been like watching Goku go super saiyan.
