🕑 Added 2025-01-31 20:09:46 +0000 UTC**(MODEL FILES ATTACHED)** **(This is an OPTIONAL update to Skeletor MK7)**
This exciting update to Skeletor MK7 completely removes the need for the Stabilizing Arm making way for new mounting possibilities.
This update adds a new way for mounting the cartographer cables, updated to zip tie cable management vs friction fit cable management.
This will be a REQUIRED update for those interested in installing the soon to be released LED mount.

I personally don’t use the springs. They cause to much vibration for me. But your results vary. Run an input shaper test with and without springs. Go with the better outcome.

Oh so the little pegs doesn't do anything. Should I use springs again or not? I think I'm not going to.

The spring version and no spring version are the same. The bit of plastic in the non spring version was unnecessary so I removed it.

So I am using the mk6 strain relief the without springs version because you told me to use it cause its better and it is indeed. Bought a cartographer and I'm going to upgrade everything to mk7. As you say there is only springs version. Are planning for a no spring version or I should put the springs back on? Also is there a reason you took that path?

Fantastic, i knew it shouldn't be too hard to correct for! I'll reprint and get proper pics for the site.

The stock springs don’t fit? That’s odd, the holes for the spring are exactly the same dimensions as the previous version. I would do a flow calibration to make sure you’re not over extruding. Or you can go into your slicer and adjust your “X-y hole compensation” this will allow you to make the holes for the springs bigger. I’d suggest using a value of .15 this will likely resolve your fitment issue.

The only thing I've ran into with the strain relief parts is my springs won't fit in the holes on both the original and this one. I just leave them out and everything's fine. Figured I'd mention that though.

Everything looks great and fits together even better than before!

Super happy I could help!!! I’m glad it’s working for you and thank you for the feedback on the improved stability of this strain relief. Very good news to Hear!

Also, your carto mount allowed me to regain 20mm on my y axis after the BCJ mod. I missed that 20mm so much!

Fits great - using BCJ linear version. Carto accuracy improved as well (Std Dev 0.000X vs 0.00X) - though this is probably because my original mount was not perfectly installed.

Excited to hear your feedback!
