Meta is pulling the plug - New goals for the future

I have some unfortunate news to share about my effects,
Meta/Instagram is planning to stop entirely the use of augmented reality effects created by its userbase in Jan 16th, 2025. This decision was sudden and unexpected, and I have been notified of it in late August.
Past this point, all my effects (and everyones effects) will be removed by the platform and be unusable for the forseeable future.
Fortunately, Instagram isn't the only place to make augmented reality effects, there are also Snapchat and TikTok which both have efficient tools.
After consideration, I have taken the decision to migrate to Snapchat, make my new effects from there, as well as to rebuild a few of my previous instagram effects. This mean I will continue to produce augmented reality effects, but on a different platform.
There is however a learning curve before I manage to be efficient with the new platform. The effects made with Lens Studio (Snapchat's tool) might not look as good at first, and it will take quite a bit of time to rebuild some of my previous effects almost from scratch.
However, even if it is slowed down, the planned effect list is still valid. Panda, Donkey, Snow Leopard and the other effects are still in the plan, except they will be published on Snapchat instead of instagram.
For the future, I will also establish a refund policy for commissions, in the eventuality of Snapchat pulling the plug as well, even if it seems unlikely.
