They're very protective of the magic unfortunately and believe only a select few should wield it, or even witness it.

The thing is for Kaede's people, water magic is tight to their religion, so I wonder if they are even allow to share the magic? You know for humane reasons, cuz the rest of the dessert people, much less the children, aren't to blame for the stupidity of their government. But the culture differences and racism is too strong... Maybe not teach the magic, but send people that can do it as a deal? You know diplomatic relations, to built bonds to heal wounds the war let. I don't know it's an idea but with people pulling strings for behind and not so competitive king, I see this way too difficult 😓 I'm just thinking in those poor kids and all the people affected with the lack of water 😢
