Let’s have a Serious conversation. I saw the original version before watching Fincher’s. And I’ve seen Fincher’s version multiple times. And if I’m honest, I think the reason why I prefer the 2011 film is mostly because of Rooney Mara. She is INCREDIBLE. I also love the Menacing tone of Fincher’s version, and the editing. As with most of his films, There’s so much information he throws at you so quickly, but it’s never convoluted, but perfectly paced. And Mara, Mara is on a whole ‘nother level here. Her vulnerability, her anger and toughness. I’m in awe.
