There’s a film that came out in 2016 called “The Handmaiden “ that’s based on Sarah Waters‘ novel “Fingersmith.” The film is directed by one of the best directors working today and probably of South Korea. For lovers of books this movie is deeply layered, sumptuous, gorgeous, stylishly shot darkly funny sexy sapphic fantasy. Please, please SEE this one. The twists and turns this film takes you on, all the way to the I CANT BELIEVE WHAT IM SEEING ending is just Breathtaking.
