"First kiss?"
🕑 Added 2022-02-02 04:06:14 +0000 UTCHey everyone, here's the series featuring Iris & Maya that happened directly after the Mistletoe image!
Maya went for a bit risky approach and see how it goes =D
1st image:
While there wasn't much change in Iris pose (since she was basically waiting clueless), but it was super fun to make her expression change, and also it was really cool to be able to make Maya in a different angle and expression.
2nd image:
I wanted to make that "instant regret moment" of Maya where she goes "oh shit, did I screw up?", so I wanted to have some fun with a different expression =D
3rd image:
Maya might be freaking out ... just a bit, trying to apologize and all =D
4th image:
Since Maya just wouldn't stop freaking out, Iris used the oldest trick in the book to make someone shup up =D, since there wasn't any problem to begin with ;)
So, to sum up the idea of this series, Maya took a chance but imediately thought she went too far (or too soon) since Iris was frozen in place. She start to freak out, but truth is, Iris wasn't bothered, just ... surprised, since she actually liked the kiss =D.
It was a really fun series to make, because I wanted to make sure I covered a range of different emotions in them, so I hope you all liked it!
And stay tuned for their future scenes in the coming months!

Thanks! It was a really trick series to get it right. Making a girl look sexy is super easy to be honest. But this kind of scene is a completely different thing. Like you said, it's a mix of a lot of different emotions, so I had to go back and forth on how which panel would look to make sure the "whole" scene portraied all those little nuances of a situation like that.

I have to say I liked Iris's expression in the 3rd panel from the start. Having painted her in many different ways, I think she never looked so sweet and adorable.

Thank you! I know that a lot of people want nsfw stuff from them, but at the same time, it's something that can be done for a lot of time in the future. This type of thing (the beginning) I can only do it once. On the long term I think it's better to do this "right" than rush it and not be able to fix in the future.

As a bisexual woman, I know JUST how this feels...! 'Will she even like me?' And thanks Krys for portraying this so sensitively. Many artists would have just moved them straight to the bedroom. We appreciate the slow-burn on this one.

I'm a diehard Maya fan, and I love how upset she looks, but what really does it for me in the latest image is the compassion in Iris' eyes. Incredibly sweet.

Though, interestingly, not between Mistletoe and the first image in this series - Maya really moves fast! Which, I suppose, is exactly what she's currently apologizing for... hopefully she'll cheer up fast, too.

1st image response: Atta girl Maya! 2nd image response: Ooh, poor Maya! Did Iris like it!? On a serious note though, I can remember many times in the past where either I or a girl that was interested in me made the first move for the first kiss. It's almost always a mix of shock, a rush, awkward, embarrassing or even maybe just plain fear after either you or the other person kisses the other. That deafening silence after the kiss and waiting to see what the other does or says.. Maya's expression clearly portrays that and Krys has done an excellent job of showing how Maya is feeling in that moment. Personally for me, I have been in Maya's shoes before and I can relate. So thank you Krys for not only making this series featuring my favorite girls but also reminding me of past experiences such as these and actually being able to relate/feel something.
