I absolutely loved Baal (Raiden or whatever you prefer to call her =D ) when she was first introduced in Genshin. She has the perfect mix of bossy/imposing/sexy attitude.
It's one of those characters that is arrogant because she knows how baddass she is =D
Was a bit tricky to make the composition work, considering there's a lot of dark areas, vivid red and a lot of purple. So I was going back and forth on the colors not getting "way too vivid".
Anyway, hope you guys like it! And stay tuned for the preview of the last image of this month coming tomorrow!

thank you! While the overall composition was super easy to figure out, there was a lot of "minor details" that were a pain to get it right lol. Color balance was a super nightmare, since she has very pale skin contrasting with dark areas and a very vivid background. Also, doing "anime faces" on my style is always a challenge, but I loved the final result!

Oh there it is, that gorgeous purple that I've been looking forward too! πππ The purple lightning circle definitely stands out very nicely against the dark, warm coloured background. And the edge lighting really helps to make Baal pop too. The pinkish lighting on her hair is especially nice, contrasting with the darker purple and making it stand out from the background. I also like rhe brighter tones on top of the hair, almost like a halo of light. And of course all of the hair is wonderfully detailed and intricate. The lightning circle looks awesome and I like the gradient in colour for it, more pink at the top left and then a cooler, blue-purple in the bottom right. The different coloured edge lightning used on her arms, shoulder pad and along her legs all look fantastic and accentuate those areas very nicely. The colour gradient in left leg is gorgeous too with the lowe calf and foot being more red-toned, which contrasts well with the cooler edge lighting. The actual definition of both legs is so good, the contrast in light and dark is great and I love the shapes of the anatomy and textures of the thigh-highs. The kimono is gorgeous too, the patterns look terrific and conform so well to the shapes and folds in the material. Likewise the patterns on that belt part are all fantastic too, the amount of detail in that whole section is insane! And I do love all of the folds and creases in the kimono, like the ripples in the sleeves and parts falling behind her, as well as the section sinking between her thighs. That material has a nice sense of weight to it too and I do love the alternating light and dark tones. The sections of skin that we see are gorgeous too and I do like the fun tease of her thighs framed between the purple materials. The purple lighting on her breasts is a very nice touch too, making them look extra vibrant. Her eyes are utterly captivating too with a beautiful glow and i love the colours of her face. The definition and textures too are wonderful. Fantastic work on this piece! I adore the colours and the various details, textures and lighting effects are so well done! πππππππππππππππππππππππ
