Pool Party in Ilios!
🕑 Added 2018-08-27 03:40:37 +0000 UTC And it's finished!!I know it's a little late in the month but I finished in time! I didn't want to rush the image and end up doing something with less quality than what I wanted, so I took my time to detail it as much as possible.
I wanted to do this image in a slightly different style (more stylized and less realistic) with an exagerated perspective and very vibrant colors because I thought it would be fitting for the theme.
There was a lot of hard things about the image, which took ~3 times the amount of time I spend on a regular drawing, but I'm really happy with the result. It was definitely a learning experience. Specially in terms of different poses and expressions and making sure the characters were like their game versions (in terms of attitude and looks).
So I really hope you guys like it, and stay tuned for Tarja in those last few days! (it might be posted in the initial days of September, but don't worry, it will make it on this month's rewards as intended)

Initially I went for a "realistic" angle but it didn't feel that cool. So I went for something that "looks cool" instead of simply going for realism, and I really liked the result. I think it was a much better choice for this image =)

Personally I don't really dig the personal life of characters, but I think it's fun the couples that people come up with, so I just play along. There's also a tiny detail on DVA's phone on the background that can be noticed on the full size image. And a small joke on the magazine Ana is reading. I think those kind of details, fan inspired or canon are important to make a scene that people relate with =)

tbh I just used the same tree/foliage that's in the game, so if they mixed the tree parts I blame them! the idea is to have a trampoline on a higher ground (that would be above the crop of the image) and roadhog jumping from it =)

This is a funny picture and the fisheffect is a good choice. Do you place banana tree palm on the coconut tree ? :-) From where comes the shadow in the shape of star at the bottom of the swimming pool ? Just kidding, it's funny.
